We ordered 1/2 chicken and got two small breasts+thigh+leg+wing+drumstick. The place was small but pleasant. The service was good. The person who took our order explained to us we could get different spicy levels for the 1/2 chicken we ordered. I sensed that this was out of consideration knowing that their "hot" level is quite spicy

For the chicken, you pick your own flavor/spice level. We went with full platter (whole chicken) with half mango lime and half mild. For our 2 sides, we chose corn on the cob and cole slaw. We also added potato wedges. We grabbed our seats after we placed our order at the counter. Our order was ready around 18 minutes. They called our name and we picked up at the pick up window. Full platter comes with 10 pieces. Mild looked pretty plain but it was super spicy, tasted more like hot. Mango lime was nothing I expected. The flavor was alright but wouldn't get again. Very spicy as well. Chicken was a bit dry but overall, tasted ok. Corn on the cob was a bit burnt. Coleslaw was very creamy. Potato wedges was really good. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Service was friendly. They do offer cups for complimentary water, self serve. Seatings indoor and outdoor. Only one neutral gender restroom for customers. They are connected to Sourdough Bread Company. Ample parking in the plaza.

I wasn't hungry so I had the kid's size chicken tenders 2 pieces and fries. My husband had Mimi's Southern BBQ sandwich on a bun, macaroni and cheese, plus half of my fries. That sandwich was huge. Three large chicken tenders, BBQ sauce, plus cheese, bacon, slaw, onion straws and looked to be enough for two people. He enjoyed it, and ate about 2/3rds of it. Only comment from him was something about going on a diet when his work training was over! The chicken tenders were good, flavorful, and big. The fries, supposedly a kid's portion, was very generous. They were good, but had an oniony taste to them. Better than average, though. I'd definitely return with an appetite!

People compare it a lot to Cane's and they have some friendly rivalry, so we wanted to partake in the comparison! The gentleman at the register was extremely friendly and knowledgeable when helping us decide what to order! There aren't a ton of options, but the options available are streamlined and give a good variety of spice level and flavor. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept. There were open tables and our food was ready quickly. Sadly, this is where my review becomes not as enjoyable. I ordered the hot honey chicken and, while the flavor was interesting, it was extremely greasy and lacked any depth within the flavor. Everyone else at my table ordered the sliders and had the same type of experience. It truly left me wondering what the hype about this place was and how it became popular because it just felt like a very standard chicken sandwich/chicken tenders. I don't plan on going back, but perhaps it was the location versus the actual restaurant? It's definitely worth a try because I have heard good things about it.

Dill's is one of them…read more Dill's is located away from the core of Redding, more in the trades district than the Hilltop corridor. And that seems to be their 'secret sauce' - they make terrific food for folks who need and really appreciate it. Their magic happens with the meat they prepare. They don't just cook, they BBQ and smoke what they serve. But it doesn't stop there. On a Sunday afternoon we tried both pork and beef sandwiches- OMG. And it's not just the meat, but those rolls! Wow. The bonus is the ice cream shop immediately adjacent Dill's - 32 Below - which, among other things, hand-dips their waffle cones in chocolate. Don't miss your reward for finding such a killer sandwich shop!

I ordered the two meat combo, chicken and tri-tip with two salads. I got to my hotel room and I have never had a tougher piece of tri-tip in my life, literally it was like cutting through the meat and it felt like I was cutting through tendons and the chicken was very dry. The only thing I really enjoyed about the meal was the salad. This could've been a bad piece of chicken and meat at the same time. I have no idea, but I am so very disappointed, I'm not even going to eat the rest of it, it's that tough and dry. Your choice if you want to go here, totally up to you. It's got a lot of great reviews, but with my review, it's just very disheartening. Just a waste of money tonight. And yes, by the pictures you can see that I did taste everything from the chicken to the meat to the roll and that is all I will eat tonight.
