Which I gladly excepted and it was an awesome choice because I ordered online and when I walk in my pizza was literally ready as soon as I got there I didn't even have to ask anyone they already knew who I was and it was amazing and the pizza was super delicious and I haven't had pizza like that anywhere else here in Redding. Pros: The place is reasonably priced. You get your food made to order and it has the potential to be good IF the staff can hear you. If you're in a position where you're forced to eat a meal with someone for whom you do not wish to converse with this is a great place to take them. Cons: WAY TOO LOUD inside. Even with my husband shouting the staff couldn't hear our order or answer any questions because the music was much too loud. We resorted to pointing. The manager was yelling at the staff in regards to the way they were making the MOD salad pizza and when she finished yelling, the staff at the pizza line looked at each other and confusedly asked, "What is she yelling about?" Then they returned to making the pizza's the wrong way. One staff member said, "It doesn't matter I seemed to get yelled at during every shift anyway." When our order was complete we only got 3 of our 4 pizzas ordered. After 15 minutes or waiting we had to go search for our missing fourth pizza. We were not able to converse with anyone at the table due to the music. I left this place feeling very irritated and grumpy. read more

I was with a party of six ranging from the ages of 32 to 91 and we were all extremely impressed. From the pre-designed recipes to the smorgasbord of ingredients at no additional cost. Choose your pizza size and GO FOR IT! The pizza is then fired up and it's ready before you've even finished your beer or lemonade (amazing!). At that point, you can have them drizzle an array of delicious sauces to finish off your pizza creation. The staff were extremely helpful (especially with the older folks in our party) and we had so much fun sharing our creations with each other. I rate this one star because the pizza is good. The lady "manager" was helping me and has terrible customer service skills. I've been to mod in the past and always looked forward to coming in because everyone was so nice and friendly. This time I had to double check I was in the right place. When I asked nicely for extra pepperoni she gave me a dirty look and only gave me two pieces. And she proceeded to be impatient as I decided what toppings I would like. As someone who works in customer service I understand how important it is to make the customers feel welcome. She made me feel very unwelcome. I hope that her attitude is recognized and taken care of. read more

Awesome! You funnel through and make your custom pizza down a line, with a kids size and an adult size and gluten free options. The toppings all look and taste fresh and amazing!!! Staff is super friendly. The owner was sweeping floors and handing out ice cream to the kids which was super sweet. Definitely recommend!!! read more

I frequently order lunch from MOD in Redding because they are close to work, usually pretty fast, and I love the food. The online order is really convenient when I'm on a time crunch. However, the last 2 times I have ordered online has not been great. The food is good as usual, but the customer service can definitely improve! On my last visit I was greeted by a not so polite girl named Tina. My online order confirmation stated it would be ready at 12:49, so I showed up at 12:48 and my order was just being started. She stated in a not so nice way "Well, my clock says I still have 2 minutes". It was a Tuesday afternoon, and not too busy in the restaurant. I'm not sure what the hold up was. My conclusion is that I should probably come in to pick up my order at least 5 minutes after the time it shows on my confirmation. Maybe then I will be greeted with a smile. read more

My kids love this place and so do I! They enjoy picking their ingredients for their pizzas and watching them be made. I enjoy feeding a whole family for under $35 and getting my very own food too! I have reviewed MOD before and was much more complimentary than this review. I LOVE their pizza but I am saying good bye and I will miss it. I can not stand to have my order messed up even one more time. I have been gracious, understanding and even NICE, while my husband eats his entire pizza while I am still waiting for mine. I have smiled while the table across from me eats MY pizza and I have even paid for a pizza I did not order just to avoid having to wait any longer or explain to one more KID, that didn't care, that there had been a mistake. MOD...please hire someone over the age of 22 and make sure that you are paying attention to all of their antics. I took my daughter to MOD last night and not only was it embarrassing to have our order messed up twice, by the time the staff finally listened to us, that my daughter is vegan and has dairy allergies, they were angry with US. It set off a chain reaction of hostility. We were then treated like the bad kids in class. SO, turn the music down, get rid of some of the attitude, focus more on the customers than how your makeup or hair looks and get it right!!!! This should be so much easier than it is. Let's all be honest! This isn't great pizza. Is it good for the price...... Maybe. But it's not Italian artisan like they claim. First off when you walk through the door it's super loud. Music is blasting I can't even hear the employee talking to me. It has the ambience of a fast food joint like the habit or chipotle. Employees are nice but confused on what they should be doing. I sat and waited for a pizza for 20 minutes because they had at least 5 remakes because they couldn't figure out who's pizza was who. Now I love my pizza and love good fresh toppings. I really couldn't tell if the toppings were fresh because there were very few items on my "artisan" pizza. Not to mention how dry it was and under cooked. Which sounds confusing but let me explain. When you place an order you get this machine pressed dough that's been sitting on a shelf for who knows how long and then they throw a cheap dry mozzarella on top. And their unlimited topping aren't anything special. I asked for more cheese and I got a sprinkle. I can still see the sauce so it wasn't that much cheese. And I'm pretty sure we got one price of ham cut into 4 pieces which was my extra ham. Then it's placed into the oven ...... Sadly the crust was under cooked and the topping were over cooked. Cheese didn't stretch and no crunch to the crust. Super thin reminded me of the $1 pizzas at the super market. So is it good? My opinion nothing fabulous. It's new and hip now but I don't see it becoming that pizza place you go to because it's great. There are way better Italian style artisan pizza places in town that are 5 minutes away. I'd rather spend a dollar more and support local business like cinders or bruciante than get the McDonald's version of Italian pizza. Redding doesn't need another corporation fast food joint anyway. read more

Today we ordered two pizzas online without cheese and I have a very sensitive dairy allergy and when we got across town to work I saw both pizzas had cheese. My co-worker is lactose intolerant too and we both were bummed!!! I called Mod and asked what I could do. Maybe a free one next time. I am a long time Redding resident, and have frequented Mod Pizza on Dana Drive numerous times. I also have a food allergy, which Mod had always been able to accommodate in the past. The last three times we ate at Mod, all in the last month or so, I noticed a particular employee had unfortunately been our pizza maker. Her attitude was abhorrent, with very poor customer service skills. It became so bad I had to complain to the weekend manager last time. He respectfully listened to my complaint, and said he would bring my complaint to the attention of the general manager. When the three of us entered Mod tonight, we saw this same employee, but she was at the pizza cutting station. We were relieved. The other two with me placed their orders first, and while doing so we explained my dietary allergy. The pizza maker said she would not be able to utilize for my pizza the red sauce from a different container, even though the container on the top was contaminated with my allergen. I asked why not. She said her manager would not allow her to. I asked to speak with the manager. She initially began to summon a male manager, then decided to get the female manager, apparently the superior to the male manager. She explained they could not get the red sauce from anywhere other than the source which was contaminated from other pizzas. I explained to the manager that it was not very difficult to get sauce which was not contaminated, but she was unrelenting. I said we would not be eating there again, and we left without any pizzas. This is very frustrating, because recently were at the Mod Pizza in Eureka, and we were amazed at how friendly and accommodating they were. I asked to speak to the manager to praise the Eureka Mod staff, and all the employees were extremely grateful. Quite a contrast between management and staff at the Redding and Eureka Mod Pizza establishments. I have many contacts in Redding, and some of them have expressed similar complaints about the staff at the Redding Mod. If anyone asks me where to get pizza in Redding, I can no longer heartily recommend Mod, as I have done many times in the past. Now they will hear a different story if they ask. read more

If you're looking for an extremely average tasting pizza, come to mod. It's definitely not bad but it's definitely not good. The atmosphere is loud and annoying, don't expect to have a conversation with the people you go there with. Overall I don't know why I came and I don't know why I'd come again. read more

I usually love you MOD. You really let me down today. Not only were you out of many ingredients, but your staff was beyond rude when asked about it. I am not sure if they were truly out of the items or they were too lazy to refill it, but we were told "we are too busy to make more." Well, I have been in here on days the line was to the door and have had better service than what we received today with less of a crowd. One even forgot to add the white sauce and when asked he stated "he gives up!" Really! Shame on your employees for their rudeness when we are paying for what we choose to add to our pizzas. I will have to reconsider coming here again based off of how we were spoken to alone. read more

Blan, so blan, especially the crust. Ingredients lacked flavor and texture and the crust was worse than the crackers from the communion dish. Gives other brick oven pizza places a bad name. Thank God for the place next door that has real pizza and beer. read more

I am a fan of MOD Pizza because they offer gluten free crust and tons of ingredients to chose from as you build your own pizza. But even better than the pizza is the salad that you can create with the freshest ingredients. This is a pizza restaurant without a TV! YEAH! It is a big and noisy room, but there is patio seating if the summer weather permits. read more
