I stopped in on Saturday night, and the place was moderately busy. I liked the interior design. Pretty cool. Wasn't a big fans of the service, though. Employees were chatting with each other, including one jokingly telling another "I'm going to punch you in the face." Not a good look in front of customers. One of the employees noticed whoever was making the pizzas had put pineapple on a pizza that wasn't supposed to have it, and he proceeded to pick each and every slice of pineapple off by hand. Just make a new pizza, dude. As for the pizza, it was fine. Size-wise, it was good value for the $7.77 price. Super thin crust, so if you like a thicker pizza, this might not be the place for you. Maybe I've been spoiled by other places with a similar concept, but overall it was just meh. Probably fun for families and/or people with picky tastes, but I wasn't super impressed overall. read more

One of the best pizzas I ever had. Even coming from overhyped NYC pizza scene, this is almost neck and neck with some $30 artisan pizzas. Ordering process was streamlined and easy enough. Let me first say I don't really usually like pizza in the traditional NYC/Philadephia purist tradition. I like the "you put THAT on something you called a pizza?!" type. Mod, with their amazing variety of toppings and sauces and such, can satisfy those like me that don't like "pizza" and those like my boyfriend who do. Also, being able to have everything I wanted on a pizza at one price was amazing. A mini pizza and an order of cinnamon sticks filled me up, but I don't eat that much. I think the normal "mod" size would fill most people though. Definitely a must try spot! read more

One really nice employee explained to me how it works when I got there. Its basically a Chipotle style set-up where you order your toppings! I ordered the garlic sticks which are crispy. The pizza was pretty good and they have unique topping choices. They have crushed ice too which is nice. I liked the Srirancha sauce! Overall pretty good! read more

I'll just start this review off by saying WOW. This is the best service I've received around the triangle in a super long time. My visit started off with the frontline greeting me saying "welcome to mods". They had my pizza ready and baked within 5 minutes. I wasn't sure what to expect with Mod. It's very fast foody, but fresh and made to order. I actually liked the size of the smallest pizza because it's truly for one person - not too much and not too little. I did think they were a bit shy on the ingredients but I called my order in. Maybe if I were there watching i could have asked for a little more cheese or toppings. I really liked the salad. I was able to say exactly what I wanted and it was tossed well. All in all I think it would be a good lunch place option or a quick pick up option for when you just don't want to cook at home. read more

If you prefer thick crust go elsewhere but for thin crust lovers it gets no thinner! If you do not like this pizza, your fault because you are the chef! Love it! Reasonable also! read more

Fast, FRIENDLY service. Delicious pizza. It wasn't "change your life" good, but it was very good with fresh ingredients and lots of toppings to choose from. Prices were very reasonable. My kids (7 years old) loved the Maddy (cheese pizza) and my husband and I had a Caesar salad and a Dillion James pizza. I could have eaten a little more, but I would have been sorry (I would have been too stuffed). It was the perfect amount of food. It left me wanting just a little bit more. Mod Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places here in Raleigh. I love the fresh ingredients. Their pizza is never greasy. It is just fresh and good. The best part is that you can pick as many toppings as you'd like. So why 4 stars instead of 5? The music is too loud. Customer Service not the food! Just placed an order online and asked the young lady on the phone to make sure she crumbled up the chicken and the mushrooms (get it the same every time without any issues). Her response, "We'll try out best". My response, "I get it done every time I come which by the way is almost weekly". She responded again with a slight chuckle, "like I said I'll try my best". I am sure there should have been a better response but clearly this young lady did not have it. Haven't seen the pizza yet but if it's not correct; the manager will see me tomorrow! Then I will try to do my best when I write this letter to corporate about proper phone and customer service etiquette. I ordered online and when I went to pick up the pizza. Since the kitchen is open, it was clear upon arriving that things are less than organized. After I paid and waited at the pick up winder for 10 min did the manager realize that they had made my pizza and given it away to someone else as a freebie since there wasn't a picket with it. The manager did his best to make me happy while I waited for them to on the fly cook me a pizza. He gave me a free milkshake and 3 free pizza coupons (which I doubt I will use). My pizza in the end was missing an ingredient I ordered and was just ok. I also do not like that you cannot order large sized pizzas. read more

Decent ingredients on a thin cracker style crust. Toppings are free, you only pay for the size of the crust. The freedom with toppings makes this a great choice. I have a slight pizza addiction and I feel like if a pizza restaurant can't make a really good classic pepperoni pizza there is no need to go back. Well, thankfully the pep pizza was really good and worth the price! I've only been there a few times but I'll be going back more! Also a tip, their largest pizza is pretty small (in my American, overeating, opinion) it's about 3 slices for 2 people but they are pretty small. Still really good though!! read more

Ok so I love pizza more than I love sleep!!!! Mods is literally the best pizza around. Delivery fees and pizza chains are a thing of the past for me.
