Garlic Bread was definitely drenched in butter, garlic, and olive oil. Its underside was crunchy and the top was savory!

We decided to give this place a try while waiting for a quick mechanic visit. Really glad we did! The pizza is classic New York style, with dough that is not too thin and not too thick. The sauce and the pepperoni was the definition of savory. The whole slice was satisfying. The garlic bread was drenched in butter, olive oil, garlic, and Italian seasoning. It sounds unhealthy, and that's because it is. But I don't think anyone stopping by a pizza joint is in search of health. The garlic bread was well worth getting it as a side, anyway, though if you can't handle digesting oil well you'll have to do what I did and eat one or two slices. This joint is hidden somewhere in a nice neighborhood on the way to Glenwood Ave. We went on a weekday evening at around 6pm and the place was empty. It kind worried me to see; but the more we waited, the more I noticed the kitchen was swarmed with orders for takeout. People kept coming in and out to get their orders. Must be a neighborhood/local favorite. The staff was friendly, too. There is nothing about this place to write home about, and that's what makes it so good. Just good, classic pizza. I'll be adding this place to my pizza options. Thanks, Tony's!

We just got a pizza from Tony's and the flavor was not there and the crust and veggies were not cooked. They offered to give us a new pizza but that would have required us to go back into the restaurant which we weren't willing to do today. I guess the search for a decent pizza spot in Raleigh continues!

Stopped in for a quick bite between appointments for 30 min and enjoyed a lot. Got a (huge) slice of cheese pizza for $3.50 and it was delicious. Crispy crust, good cheese and sauce. Filled me up too. I'd recommend and return

Enjoyed some really good pizza on my first visit to Tony's. A refreshing change from the usual pizza chains.

Slightly above average pizza, nothing to write home about, but at least you're not eating massive amounts of dough with each bite!!

Authentic NY Italian. Pizza is #1 and eggplant parmigiana & lasagna was excellent. Always great food.

Great New York pizza. One slices is more than enough for a meal. But skip the pasta dishes.

The absolute closest to an authentic NY pizza around. Thin, crispy, cheesy, flavorful. Yummm.

I came in a little after lunch shift the other day and was a bit indecisive about my order but the very patient and nice girl at the counter helped me decide. I ended up ordering the Meatball with Provolone. The sandwich was well made with large meatballs and both the bread and the meat tasted fresh. Previously I had issues with the line situation, but in this case there was only one other person in the restaurant, so that was less of an inconvenience. The other, more serious issue centered around gnats and flies. I can confidently say that was not an issue when I revisted the other day. I was pleased with my second visit and the friendly, helpful girl who served me, I believe her name was Leah. I plan to return and perhaps I can convince my work to cater from here in the near future.

"Giant" sandwich is somewhat true in that the bread is over-sized compared to sliced bread -- but meat was lacking for sure. Friendly greeting upon entering. Clean and tidy...and naturally lit store inside. Nice patio seating. Kind of expensive for a simple sandwich. Not worth another visit.

Just wanted to take the time to clap for the staff here…read more I've only been here twice now. But both times the service was SO fast. I came here on a week day and it was packed but the kitchen seemed steady. Their service is very stream lined with pagers for food orders. There is a lot of seating but it also seems to be a place where a good chunk of people come to work. They have a library inside as well and the books at the time were all $3 ea. Today I came and it's a Sunday. As expected they were SLAMMED. Line to the door of people waiting and line to the door of people ordering. I still got my coffee in less than 5 min. People waiting on food were getting theirs in similar time. The staff was killing it! They have a large selection of baked goods (lots of laminated dough), fast casual breakfast & lunch, and a huge coffee menu. They also have gluten free options for food and about a dozen gf/df baked goods. They said they have separate prep space and changed gloves for gluten free food but it's a shared oven. I didn't have any issues though. To who ever is managing your kitchen and staff, you're doing a great job. To the staff, hats off Highly recommend this place for a light breakfast and good coffee, or just a good place to hang out on your laptop.
