Ordered pizza from Venture the other night, unfortunately it was lackluster! We got delivery and the pizza came cold. I understand the risk with getting it delivered, but we live maximum 10 minutes away, AND it arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled delivery time. Usually I would be happy about that, but if the pizzas were delivered cold AND early, I wonder when they actually made my pizzas. Didn't seem to have been recent... normally I'd do pickup or go inside the restaurant but I ordered it for a birthday party so I didn't have to leave to grab them. We tried cheese, mushroom, and the Wolfpack, and It was all just okay. The cheese didn't stand out, the Wolfpack had an OK amount of toppings but was kind of barren, and the mushroom was pleasant, that was my favorite. Heating it up did improve the taste, however, my one tiny microwave was no match for 4 full size pizzas, so most of us ate it cold. I'm open to seeing if the in house experience is better, but I'd try a new spot before ordering delivery from here again. read more

My daughter's school recommended parents to try Venture Pizza as part of a fund raising event. This is not your average pizza. I got the white shroom which was delicious. If you are not a big fan of marinara sauce and have acid reflux like me, this one may work for you. Very light seasoning on it but there is a seasoning station in the restaurant just in case you need to add a little kick to it. No need to request a to-go box, there are plenty available to grab anytime in the restaurant. My daughter loved her cheese pizza. My husband got the supreme pizza and said that he really liked the crust and how the pizza tasted all together. We also got wings. Not the best I've ever had but they were still really good. Unfortunately, this pizza was barely better than a frozen Red Baron pizza you buy in the grocery store. Meat Lovers was simply a few pepperonis with a small smattering of either hamburger or sausage, I'm not sure which. We had it delivered via Uber eats. Somewhat randomly chose Venture for pizza one night during a visit to Raleigh, and it was a very good choice. Went with the supreme pizza, and an order of garlic knots. Both turned out to be the right choices. Their crust is a nice combination of crispy, yet with just a little chewiness. Would definitely order here again. Only little negative, was we had it delivered through GrubHub. Communication was pretty good on when it was ordered and approximately when it was to be delivered. And that estimated time changed 3 times after I ordered it, so I figured it would be pretty accurate. However, it showed up about 20 minutes early and the delivery person just left it on the porch, without even knocking. Fortunately, I saw him walk by the front window, and went to check the front door and found the pizza. And there was no communication from Venture or GrubHub that the food had been delivered. When we walked in just after noon on a recent Saturday, we were the only customers, and our very-hot pizzas came out quickly. My margherita was perfect--fresh mozzarella and lots of basil on a slightly-charred crust. There were even some chunks of roasted tomato in the sauce. My friend liked his chicken curry pizza, too. Venture Pizza is your average pizza spot. They have 10" and then a larger size that a family could probably do. The employee was nice and greeted us upon walking in. It took a few minutes to decide what I wanted but chose the 10" meat lovers (which I had no problem finishing on my own because it was thin crust). I like this strip of businesses because we stopped in for a beer at House of Hops before heading over to dinner at Venture Pizza. The wine and beer are self pour so you get a card to pour then pay afterwards. I tried a few different pours of wines in different sizes then my husband and I split the simple side salad, great smoky pizza and wolfpack pizza. Well it's okay at best. It's along the lines of MOD Pizza. This is not the place to go if you want amazing flavorful pizza. If you are in a hurry and want pizza this will work. I have to give props though as they did do a great job on the crust as far as slight char goes, which is what I asked for. The Sauce they use for the Margarita is plain boring. I saw one review that indicated that this pizza is more of find a frozen pizza at the store and cook it in the oven. I honestly don't know how anyone can rate this pizza as a 5 star place. Now I only rate margarita style pizza. The did have some interesting other choices. That may be worth it but this Margarita Pizza was bland and flavorless. My family and I are big Venture Pizza fans. It's close to our house, quick, with outdoor seating. We also just really enjoy the pizza here, the sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are plentiful. I believe it's the owners who I always see working here, they are friendly and efficient. I usually order online at home and by the time I arrive my pizza is always ready on time. My go to's are the make your own and the buffalo chicken pizza. I'm also a sucker for those cinnamon sticks. So simple, but so tasty. I haven't tried their other desserts, but they do look tasty. This spot is also great for my toddler, sometimes he wants pizza and sometimes he wants pasta. They have both! I am also a fan of the buffalo chicken wings if you aren't in the mood for pizza. There was a bug crawling across a table when we walked in to order; so we were planning to eat in; but decided it would be better to take out. Honestly, save your money. My son and I recently had the opportunity to eat Venture Pizza in the new McNeill Pointe Shopping Center which is conveniently located close to Downtown Raleigh! When I first entered the restaurant I loved how opened it was and I thought this the perfect place to host a child's pizza party. I had an opportunity to meet the owner and he was pleasant. As well as the other staff members. The menu was easy to read and they offered so many different kinds of pizza. I ended up ordering the: Chipotle Chicken, The Mac and Cheese Pizza, spicy honey wings and a Togo pepperoni pizza (to go). The pizza was really yummy and my son loved the Mac and cheese pizza. They wings were only okay! I would have loved for them to be baked a little longer or a little more crispy! The bathroom was really clean and the overall restaurant was. We ended up going after 5pm so a lot of the gelato was gone but they have a lot of different gelatos to choose from! Visited this amazing Pizzeria just off the wake forest road last Friday with family and simply loved the food. We tried the chicken curry masala (my daughter loved it!!) and the paneer tikka masala and the piping hot pizzas were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were amazing. We also had chicken tenders and they were the best I have had in a long time. They have a good collection of different ice cream flavors as well which were yum!!......its quite spacious and not cramped unlike some other pizzerias and the service is quick and good.........the best part is the sit out which gives you an elevated view of the main road with cars zooming past and you can enjoy your pizza/salad/pasta with chilled beer/soda with friends and family.....am definitely going back to this place!! read more

I came here with a group and really enjoyed it! The Chipotle Chicken pizza is delicious!! We also got the Gyro pizza and the Wolfpack (essentially a meat lovers). On the side we also got both types of cheesy breadsticks (regular and garlic), an order of meatballs, and a couple of side salads. The gyro pizza was good, though the meat wasn't super flavorful - the onions and feta were (delicious and) most prominent. The Wolfpack wasn't anything crazy but was a great meat lovers. The crust was a great texture -- I would classify it as "hand tossed" since it's not thick but also not thin. The pizzas were freshly made and came out quickly. The breadsticks were delicious and also fresh, though I wish we got more marinara with them. Unfortunately they were out of the garlic knots. I probably wouldn't get the meatballs again. They weren't bad, but they seemed super basic and potentially not homemade? Unsure. As for drinks, they have bottled wine and beer, soda, and even kids drinks. Unfortunately the beer on tap was not in service when we were there. I tried to sign up for their rewards multiple ways and it didn't work... not a big deal but a bummer. I came here because I had a Facebook offer for a but one get on free pizza 10" or 14". I got the Buffalo chicken and my mom got the veggie pizza. Place was empty so it was quick and easy to order. Moving back to the area from Chicago, have been in search of great regular and gluten free pizza (not deep dish, just good standard pizza). Seeing other reviews and looking over the menu, we were very excited to try Venture pizza. Ordered 14" supreme and 10" veggie gluten free takeout. 14" supreme - pizza itself just wasn't very good. Crust seemed like it hadn't risen fully, and all toppings were barely on the right side of cooked, no crisp, no char. It was all reminiscent of a high quality frozen pizza. 10" gluten free - I don't believe most places that offer gluten free pizza (especially in this area) make their own dough and this one is more of the cracker crust variety. Problem with this pizza is that the crust cooks too fast and the toppings are too thick. End result is a slightly burned crust and undercooked toppings. I think perhaps we just got a dud w/ the supreme pizza, but even if it was cooked better, not sure how much better it would get. The GF pizza, seems par for course in triangle area... I decided to try something new this week, and gave Venture Pizza a chance. I've tried just about every pizza place in Raleigh so I figured I'd give them a shot. Ordered delivery via Uber Eats and wow, this is SERIOUSLY good pizza. Legit authentic pizza. All the ingredients are tasty and fresh, it was cooked really well, and their crust is just absolutely perfect. I want to steal the recipe for this pizza dough lol. It's that perfect balance of chewy without being tough and tender without being bready. Definitely won't be throwing away the crust for this pizza! And it's actually reasonably priced too. I got the Catalan Coca (I highly recommend it), a 4-topping pizza, a drink, and an order of their cinnamon breadsticks (soft and buttery with lots of cinnamon sugar and icing glaze, totally worth it for $6) and with the delivery charges and driver's tip it was about $50. This easily feeds four people, if not more--each person can have 4 slices and 3-4 dessert breadsticks. Also their sweet tea is solid too, sweet but not too sweet and it tastes like it's made fresh. I called in advance to ask about the menu and what signature pizzas they recommend, and the guy who answered (the owner I think) was very nice and gave me some good recommendations. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the custom pizzas! I hope they're as good as the Catalan was. Overall I can't find a single thing to complain about, despite looking for something haha. Although they changed the name, Venture Pizza is still by far the best pizza in the Triangle. When I asked why he said that he could not honor it. When I asked about the money that I had paid for the Local Flavor coupon certificate, he replies call Local Flavor. We smelled the pizza from outside and had walked by this place a number of time. Our 4 year old really saw it and decided against another sandwich and really wanted pizza. So we decided to stop by and so glad we did. We split a large Wolfpack, which was delicious. (coming from a Pirate) We also got small salad and then saw the golden ticket, Gelato! Just Popped in for lunch the other day. This property is in the hip New McNEAL Point Across from Mama Noras.. The Couple that owns this place was so NICE and service oriented.. I got a 10" Pizza and side salad.. The Salad came out first and it was very fresh and well made, and I could tell it was made that morning.. The Pizza came out and it was very nicely done. I loved the pizza and thought this was a good honest to goodness experience. I was very pleased and wanted to pass my experience along.. Give this spot a shot. Selected option to meet delivery guy at door. I have a door knocker and bell but he/she used neither. Left the order on my door step in the cold for about 30-35 minutes until I thought I should go look for it (because there had been no notification of delivery).
