I often crave Blaze pizza and had quick access to one where I used to live. I wish I had one closer to me in North Raleigh, but on this particular weeknight, I just had to have it! I drove nearly 30 minutes to the one in Garner. Parking was easy as it's in a busy shopping center. But this place gets long lines fast! And they also take a lot of online orders. I had to wait quite a bit even though I was first in line as they had other orders to make. They also seem understaffed. I noticed only one person making the pizzas and the line soon piled up. They no longer have a key ingredient I love (salami) but everything else was as I expected for my pizza. I also got a s'more and though it was heated by request, it was still fairly cold when I got it. The lemonade was good, but the drink area could use a little attention to cleanliness. Overall, it's better than their main competitor for sure. I always enjoy my pizza and even enjoyed my leftovers the next day. I'll be back. read more

I order pizza every Friday from this location. This Friday, as I sit waiting for my order, one of the workers, I assume was the manager asked me if I paid for my pizza. I didn't know whether she was insinuating that I was trying to get something free or the cashier was in error. Either way this was announced aloud in front of staff and customers. Visited last night as I was in the mood for a pizza and salad. The veg out pizza was great, the salad was lacking ingredients as I visited 45 mins before closing. Service was rocky- I assume the closing rush impacted the experience. However, it ended better than it started. This is my 3rd or 4th time to this location of Blaze, and never tried another location.... So I'm unsure if my comments are unique to this one or the chain in general. In short, these folks make terrible pizza !! Either the dough is inferior or they simply do not know how to properly cook a pizza. My review is based on different Doordash orders I have placed from this location over time. First time, food was right except I didn't get the cookie I ordered. It wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't overpriced at almost $4. Another time, I ordered a personal pizza and breadsticks. The pizza was correct and great, the breadsticks were not made as stated (no red sauce) and I did not receive the 2 sides of marinara which are supposed to come with the item. When trying to remedy these mistakes by calling the store, you will see they leave their phone off the hook so you're unable to contact them without physically driving to the store. Obviously that defeats the purpose of Doordashing to begin with. Overall, the food is good when prepared correctly but taking the phone off the hook consistently is terrible customer service. read more

First they completely screwed up my order, I ordered two pizzas and they sent one pizza. Then when I called they admitted to messing up because the pizza was still at the restaurant but would not issue a refund even though I ordered it directly from their website. I have to now wait until Monday morning, it's now Saturday, just to get a simple $12 refund. Blaze Pizza is incredible when you go IN PERSON to order a pizza... HOWEVER if you order via Door Dash prepare to be disappointed. I have received the CORRECT order 1/5 time when ordering Blaze on Door Dash. Recently I ordered 2 pizzas, 1 that was supposed to have PESTO drizzle. Unfortunately both pizzas were COVERED, DRENCHED, DROWNED in pesto. The time before that, they sent 2/3 pizzas according to the order and 1 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT pizza. This was my first visit to Blaze and it loved up to the hype! We were looking for a place for a quick dinner before a concert and found Blaze. My husband had previously eaten at one so he suggested we try this one. I ordered a red vine pizza and added Italian sausage to it. Other people in my group ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, a greek salad and a create your own pizza with pepperoni and olives. We also ordered some the garlic dough knots. The pizzas are literally built in front of you which is super cool. You can make sure it's made the way you like it before they fire it in their oven. The pizzas are ready super fast! My pizza was delicious. Super flavorful! My only complaint would be it was really hard to pick up and eat. The olive oil drizzle made the middle of my pizza soggy and it just was impossible to pick it up. It wasn't a deal breaker though! Everyone else loved their pizzas. The Greek Salad wasn't super fresh. Lots of wilted pieces and I wasn't really keen that it was already pre-made just sitting out. There were several flies around the salad area and it sort of grossed me out because there was no cover over it. WTH! Used to be a great place for a pizza. Now, dirty and staff don't seem to care. Pretty easy to have one person dedicated to cleaning up. Makes a huge difference. Staff kinda 'playing' with the toppings when making. Drink stand is a mess, and could use a good cleaning. Along with making sure product is available. Used to like their pizza but probably not going back. Yeah is a busy area and line can get long (but is a good sign you are making something people want!) but with the the lack of cleanliness makes you wonder about the food score. I woke up on 3/14 and saw that I had completed 314 Yelp reviews which reminded me that I had to get a pie on Pi Day for just $3.14!! But, I was skeptical. Does it seem rational to be able to get any pizza for just $3.14?!? Of course not. I began by calling both the Raleigh and Garner locations to find out exactly what they were offering for $3.14. Was it just a small personal size pizza but you pay extra for toppings? Can you get a GF crust? Is there a limit to the number I could get? What's the catch? Unfortunately, no one answered the phone at either location. What to do? Think, Jean, think. And then I remembered, of course it's not rational, it's Pi Day! What could be more irrational than celebrating a number that doesn't end or (dare I suggest it) repeat? Is it even rational to say that a number that doesn't end, doesn't repeat?! How can one ever know this with certainty, if it never ends? And what could be a more fitting way to celebrate this lovely little irrational number, than by offering any size pie for just the ratio of its topping-filled diameter to its crusty circumference?! And, since the ratio doesn't change, why wouldn't it include any pie?? The ratio is the same no matter how big the pie is! That settles it. We're off to find our Pi pie! The Garner location was around 3.14 miles further than the Raleigh location but we decided that the Garner location might not be as busy. We arrived to find that the line at the Garner location was out the door. The line moved quickly, however and we actually had both of our custom-made pizzas in hand within 25 minutes. Not bad. When you step up to the order counter, you can select either a specialty pie with pre-determined toppings, or choose your own from what you see in front of you. It's similar to that sub shop with the $5 nearly foot longs...just select your toppings as you go, then your pie is heated in an ultra hot oven for just 180 seconds. BOOM! I ordered the GF crust which is normally $3 extra. I loved that, on Pi Day, there was no extra charge. The flavor of the GF crust was enjoyable, however, this GF circumference wasn't crusty at all. It was more like a thick crepe. Not what I was expecting but I wasn't disappointed either. I LOVE that I can get gorgonzola and goat cheese on my pie, fresh basil, and even chopped or roasted garlic. And, a sea salt finish which is completely, irrationally delightful. I would give Blaze 3.14 stars since I'm feeling irrational today. But, when they offer gorgonzola and goat cheese toppings and a coarse ground sea salt finish on a delicious, fast pie, the only rational thing to do is to give them at least 4. The gluten free circumference is probably the only thing that prevents me from rounding it up to 5. Thank you Blaze and you irrational little number. read more

I was torn between 2 and 3 stars for Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza.. But, since they have tons of fresh ingredients I decided to go with the latter. Mom and I walked in and both ordered one of their signature pizza's: Meat Eater and Red Vine. Walking down the line they kept asking what I wanted on the pizza which was overwhelming. Didn't I get a signature? Just whatever comes on it.. We ended up getting our pizzas to go and taking them down the street to The Beerded Lady since Blaze does not sell beer yet. Unfortunately the pizzas were not cooked long enough so picking up a slice was tough.. The pizza did taste good but it did not blow me away. And, the Caesar salad SUCKED. The lettuce was starting to get old and wilted, the dressing was not good and the croutons were not fresh. It may be a while before I return to Blaze Pizza. read more

The staff is either overworked or just hates their jobs. From the moment you walk into the space, there was no greeting and the one girl working the line was moving at a snail's pace and was filling 5 online orders before even acknowledging us. (6 minutes of silence) Instead of being helped, we got to stare at the concerning amount of mess from careless tossing and throwing of ingredients. Wouldn't eat at this location if cross-contamination is a big NO NO for you. The meats were mixed and the veggies were just everywhere. One of my friends got just a pepperoni pizza and then stood at the register for 10 minutes while the other work ignored her from 3 feet away and when she came to the register finally she didn't even look at her. She had to ask if she was even talking to her. note: The oven also must not be cleaned every day or something because the black oven residue was far from normal. The first time I went to a Blaze Pizza, it was at home in San Francisco. I didn't see one after moving to Durham, but a month-long school rotation brought me out to Clayton. When I passed by Blaze on my commute, to say that I was excited would be an understatement. I'm on a student budget and so eating out, wherever it may be (even a fast casual pizza joint) is a splurge. I stood outside the restaurant and debated whether or not I should go in. Did I deserve it based on how hard I worked that week? Ehh. But did I go in anyway? You can bet I did, and with zero regrets. There was plenty of seating on a weekday at 8pm and I found a spot to devour what was an amazingly delicious pizza.
