Did an online order but they don't update the ETA. Came in at the ETA time exactly and they had not even started the pizzas. Told me that they were really busy but there was no one in line and the store seemed relatively quiet (compared to the downtown Bellevue one) Did not offer to do anything about it and told us to wait 15 minutes for the pizza with a bit of a 'tude. I do enjoy their pizzas and create your own model. But I'm disappointed at the newest Mod :( don't order if you are in a hurry and expect your online order to be done on time! last night I visited the Mod Pizza in Newcastle, WA. It was around 8:30 PM. There was one couple ahead of me, with one Mod Pizza employee in a red t shirt person attending to them. There was another employee that seemed to be exclusively working on call-in orders. Despite only having one couple ahead of me, I waited in-line for 45 minutes before my order was taken. Meanwhile the line behind me had grown and 2 people left because of the delay. Finally the guy in red t shirt seemed to be done with the couple. I had noticed how nice he was to them and thought "Oh well his service may be slow, but at least he is doing a good job". Little did I know, I was in for an unpleasant surprise. Once done with them, the smile was wiped off, no eye contact and he asked what I wanted. No apologies for the delay. Meanwhile a lady in the line behind me asked why the line was so slow. I told her I had been waiting for 45 minutes. This seemed to anger the guy in the red t shirt. He told the lady, if she did not want to wait in line, she should have called in her order. The lady asked to speak to the manager. The manager who was tending pizza in the oven, came over and asked the guy in the red t shirt what was wrong. The guy in the red t shirt said "Apparently I'm too slow'. The manager then walked over to the lady and told her, they were going as fast as they can, despite this clearly not being the case. When my order was finally being taken, the guy in the red t shirt kept forgetting what I asked, the minute I said it and I had to repeat everything 2-3 times. He then said he couldn't hear me, the music was too loud, this despite the fact that he had no issues with the couple in front of me. I ordered a pizza and a Greek salad. But when we got to the counter, he only rung me up for the pizza. He had again forgotten that I ordered a salad. So again another wait for him to go back and make the salad. So fiiiii-iii-iiiiinaly I get my order and take it home. Ready for the clincher? After all that wait and all that drama, my pizza crust was not even cooked! it was soft and chewy.The toppings kept falling off and the whole order was ruined to the point I had to throw it away. If I was grading the whole experience, it would be D minus for customer service D for accuracy of order D minus for timeliness The whole staff seemed to consider customers as a nuisance. The manager gaslighted the customer concerns and after all that waiting, the food was made so badly it had to be thrown away. What a waste of time and money! read more

I love Mod pizza but this location has super slow speed. The employees are all doing on their own thing and not very efficient in using their time. I was 2nd in line when I entered and it took 20 mins for someone to start making my pizza. Most of the employees were working on online orders while I was literally just standing and watching. It's hard to write this review because I love MOD, but the first time I came to this location the pizza wasn't all the way cooked and they comped me a different pizza, this time around the girl who was rudely helping my friend and I was completely rude she made no eye contact, she was speaking so quietly that she almost put the wrong toppings on my pizza, she began to put almost 3 scoops of pizza sauce and when I asked her to please stop she rolled her eyes. I asked for mushrooms on my pizza and the mushrooms they had out were completely gone, there may of been 1 one left. I asked her if she could get new ones so she grabbed new ones from the fridge and my friend wanted mushrooms as well so instead of changing the EMPTY container she set it on the table and was still grabbing from the empty container, which were crumbs of mushrooms.. I asked for the different kinds of cheeses as I forgot what they offered, they usually have the signs but there were none. When I asked her she COMPLETELY ignored me and rolled her eyes. My friend was appalled as was I. It's disappointing. I don't understand why people choose to work in customer service but are so rude and unwelcoming. I don't like to review chains because what are you going to do about a huge company and if you want MOD you want it and will get it but our experience here was not good. We came in at 1:50 on a Friday and were ignored for 5 minutes. The guy didn't even look up at us and we were the only people in the store. There were three employees and not one of them acknowledged us. That's pretty annoying. Then they helped us and the pizza was delicious but it wasn't because of them but because MOD is a good set up has the best crust and good quality toppings. This is literally the only thing in this immediate neighborhood that opens until 10pm. This is one of the 3 places that you can find food at. It's located at the new development in Newcastle where the drive-thru Starbucks is, you can't miss it driving on Coalcreek. I work in Factoria and honestly if it's during the lunch peak, I'm probably better off driving here than to walk right over to the one in Factoria since the line there goes out the door from the T-Mobile lunch rush. Unlimited toppings for a set price, the standard size is kind of too big for me so I get the mini size, unless of course I have a boyfriend that wants to share a whole pizza with me and pay for it, but I'm too picky. Hahaha. Salads are good here, makes me feel sad I can't even make a basic chicken caesar salad. Brownie points for having Sriracha, I'm working on a bill that makes it mandatory to require all restaurant establishments to carry it, I think it will be good for the consumers & beneficial to the economy since I figure big cooperate like Sriracha pays a lot in taxes. I like Mod. It's consistent wherever you go. However, this location lacks parking. It's 2 restaurants and a coffee shop using the same small parking. In the evening they spill over into another parking lot. When that lot's restaurant opens it's going to be crazy here. I have actually come here twice to eat and not actually eaten here due to lack of parking. I went down the road to the next Mod. So this place could be busy, but it can't be in the current parking situation. Definitely will hurt them in the long run. All that said, this one had friendly staff, made my pizza right, and the shake was over flowingly full. Music was too loud, and it was COLD. It was also annoying to watch people just stand and weave the line into the table area but skip the waiting line area. Who wants people standing beside them when they eat? I like Mod. Okay to begin, I have given this location numerous chances and every time I have been disappointed but today might top all the others. Walking in, no greeting what so ever; normal for this location. After checking if my order was on the shelf, I stand by waiting. Stood there for 5 or so minutes and not one employee acknowledges that I'm there. They did have enough time to walk pass and have a four person conversation behind me. Two of them went back to work and I didn't see either of them wash their hands. And now for when the pies come out... absolutely terrible. The girl with dreads flicks her hair out of her way with her hands and then proceeded to touch the papers and inside the boxes without gloves or washing her hands. Only when she saw me making a face was when she goes "I should probably put on gloves." Staff doesn't even seem to mind that they're busy and often stop to chat when people are waiting. Super frustrating! This store has been open only about a month so I'm hoping this is just new store kinks that need to be worked out. Ordered two pizzas online using the Mod app, at 6:44 pm. App said they would be ready at 7:06. Arrived at 7:13, at which point I was told they weren't ready. In fact, they hadn't even begun making the pizzas! Even more bizarre was that there was only a couple people in line. The store was not busy. Pizzas were finally ready at 7:31, over 45 minutes after we placed our order. By the time the pizzas were ready we were starving so we ran out of the store without even looking at them. Got home and realized they didn't even get the order right! My pizza was missing several of the ingredients I had requested. Even more frustrating was that I looked at the receipt stuck to the box and it did indeed have all the ingredients listed that I had ordered. To their credit the staff here is super nice and was apologetic about the whole fiasco. When I first walked in they offered me a free drink because they weren't ready. When I mentioned I had ordered these over 40 minutes ago, they decided to give us the pizzas for free, which was very nice of them. We love Mod and with this being the closest location for us, we'll definitely be back. I'd just recommend packing your patience until they get up to speed. read more

I am still in SHOCK! I'm WARNING YOU TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! I ate here for the first time after being told how good Mod Pizza was. They illegally added a $50 TIP to my bill after I left with my order. I called the store and was hung up on by the person claiming to be the lead and after the 3rd time I went into store showed them my purchase receipt and asked why would I tip $50 on a $47 pizza purchase? That doesn't even make any since. The food was good but not quite that good. I'm not filing a complaint with corporate (they are claiming they have no manager or district manager) and I am also going thru Cashapp to get my $$ back. The crazy thing is I only used Cashapp because I was out running errands with my disabled son and thought it would be easier. And I didn't tip at all because I had never had the food before and I wasn't sure I was going to like it. I've been here four times now, and I wanted to give my opinion. After today's experience, I'm done with this place. It's a bit overpriced (especially for a kids cheese pizza). The pizza is OK. Not bad, but not worthy of raving about. I'm concerned about the lack of hair nets for those long-haired employees. The lady this afternoon at the finishing station basically threw our three pizzas at us, without a simple kind word. And the parking is terrible. This is my first time at a MOD Pizza and we ordered 6 pizzas in total. It was super fast and super easy to order. The pizzas were cooked in a fired oven and the crust came out nice and crisp. If any of you watch the Bar Stool Pizza review I would rate this in the high 7 (7.8 -7.9). This makes these pizzas one of the best in the area. It sure beats outs all the local chain pizza places. The people are really friendly and everyone says "Hello" when anyone walks in. There was someone walking the floor always making sure a table is cleaned when you leave. I would definitely go here again. Give it a try and eat some great pizzas. read more

I visited this location a few days ago and had a terrible experience. I was personally not treated badly and the service was decent. What truly appalled me was the way a white blonde woman employee was talking to another Brown POC employee. I was still hesitant as to what I was going to get, but I overheard a conversation in Spanish. Followed by an insensitive and racist comment saying "speak English" this seemed to be said in a joking matter but that's not a joke. I think it unacceptable to be talking like this in 2021. This seems like a toxic work environment for the POC employees. Hope management deals with that accordingly. read more

First time to try this particular location. Probably won't be back. Not because of the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff- both were great, but I was disappointed in the lack of care in sanitary habits during this virus outbreak. Of six employees, two were without masks. Of the four who wore masks, two had the nose uncovered. And of those two, the young man rolling and pressing the dough was not wearing gloves as he handled the dough with bare hands and had his mask hanging down off his chin. I'm happy to support restaurants during this time and to help keep their employees earn a paycheck, but I don't think it's too much to ask to follow sanitary habits, especially when it involves food handling. read more

I'm very familiar with MoD pizza all over Washington State I have been a customer also I have been contracted by them for work so I not only have a customer experience with them. Until tonight all of my experiences with MoD pizza were better than fair, I understand no two employees are the same. I've been to the Newcastle location many times, and what sticks out to me is their customer service is below standard also the time for them to service you is hit or miss on more than one occasion I have literally waited for over 15 minutes before I was helped (non-busy night). The employees that I have experienced (I can't speak for everyone) here have no communication with each other. I personally watched workers pour the wrong sauce on a customers pizza after it left the oven.They are very inconsistent with their beer and wine policy. Tonight the service here was unacceptable, there was no management present so I confronted a team captain by the name of Miranda which was the person who initially gave me horrible service. I basically just wanted to complain and I didn't really expect for her to give me an explanation. Talking with her was of no use smh... her communication and costumer service was disrespectful. Just went to this location for the first time and despite a busy dinner rush, I was greeted by a friendly guy named Jack. Even though the rush looked pretty stressful, he took the time to ask how my day was and looked like he genuinely cared. Too far to drive back and plead our case, so disappointed with the lack of focus. The paper they wrote the names on was right (ours) but the pizza team cooking and sorting must have not been reading. Hope someone out there enjoyed our pizzas...the selection we got was not impressive. Gave a 12% tip, but regretting it now. I would love to give this place five stars, but I can't help but feel slightly let down by this place. I love the product, the convenience of where it's located, and the atmosphere. However, I've had inconsistent experiences within their efficiency and customer service. When they're efficient, they're VERY efficient for making pizza. However, this is not always the case. I have had two incorrect orders, one being due to them not asking qualifying questions to better understand my wife's and my orders. She wanted cauliflower crust, I wanted mega-dough. Would they have known that had they asked? Yes! However, they did not, rather, they started throwing sauce on the pizza, and continued forward. I am really exhausted with lazy service, and pointing out their mistakes is too much effort when you have had a long day; that's why I'm at a quick service food and beverage restaurant in the first place. Another time that I went, my wife and I were the only people in line. Two employees where making pizzas for themselves (no problem, they have that right), but in doing so, they failed to acknowledge that we were even there. Another working employee had to ask if we had been helped. When she found out we were left waiting, she seemed embarrassed. She did everything correctly, but geez, same afternoon crew, same laziness. Tonight, we tried placing a mobile order. We placed the order at 6:15pm, and they said it wouldn't be done until 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:30pm, and the pizza wasn't ready. Nobody greeted me, nobody asked if I needed help, nobody even addressed my presence. It wasn't until 6:45pm that I had to follow-up on the status of my order that an employee mentioned that it was already out of the oven. I get busyness, but with a salty taste in my mouth from previous customer service interactions this was really frustrating. Again, the location is crazy convenient, I like their pizza, but their management needs to have a tighter grip on courtesy and efficiency.
