I like that you can have unlimited toppings. On the website, it limits you to 8 or something. I did half/half. Normally I like MOD pizzas. It's easy to order and a hassle-free pick up. I was expecting this place to be crowded, so ordered my pizza in advance before even starting my drive. One hell of an effort to find a parking near this place.. phew! I will blame it on the nearby Starbucks drive-thru, but still it's an inconvenience for other customers. Ambiance of this place is cool like any other MOD locations. My order wasn't ready when I showed up - that was close to 25 mins after I placed my order. I patiently waited and reminded the gentleman that I am waiting for my pizzas. They were serving the customers who are placing the order at the counter - but my pizzas were no show! I was kind of pissed after waiting for almost 10 minutes. By the time I walked to the counter to ask again, my pizzas magically showed up right there. Nothing more to complain, I walked out. This was absolute chaos. They waited till they were 45 minutes behind to turn off mobile orders. Had people yelling at the staff FOR ME because my order took an hour and a half. Placed my order at 6:30 got it at 8. Still had to help them fix my order, and almost gave me half of someone else's order. People who game in 20 minutes after me got their orders of 5, sat, ate and left. By the way. We stopped eating here 8 months ago because it's service and quality. This takes the cake. And they forgot my no name cake. I recommend going to Dominos instead or just investing in Resonate or Jet City. Both having faster times and consistent quality. Also for those eating in there was no clean tables, trash thrown by the bins, and a cluster of people by the handoff from wait times. Happy Eating... Somewhere else. read more

Last time I ordered here they got my order wrong and there were way less toppings on it than usual. I ordered on the app for it to be fast and ready when I arrived but I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes at least, for them to even realize I was there picking up my order because they were busy with other customers and also taking their time with them, and maybe lack of workers, idk the issue. Either way just disappointed my order came out soggy (like it hadnt been fired up crispy enough) and toppings were missing and lightly added. I get almost the same order every time and this was probably the worst location I've received it from, unfortunately. read more

COVID TIMES: masks required. We do visit MOD quite often. So they've set the bar high. At this location probably I'd give them a 3.5 stars sometimes and other times 4 stars, which makes me think that there's a little bit of inconsistency in how this place is run. Food quality is always nice and fresh. They do not disappoint, even when I've asked for "lots of cheese on my pizza" . The Garden salad is my favorite one. While I was waiting for my order, I saw a couple of curve-side-pick up customers that seem to be confused how or where to pick up their orders. Maybe a sign would help them. They used to have Just a chocolate cake (aka no name cake) and now they introduced a new flavor: cherry cake. It's too sweet for me BUT I think it's a genuine effort to keep items to their menu. Finally, men's restroom was broken and oh man!!!! The smell was AWFUL. My kid needed to use the restroom and we barely made it because the odor (even using the ladies restroom) From other visits I gotta say the cleanliness in their restrooms is not their strong suit. read more

I work at Hazelwood Elementary School, and we had the best experience with this location. We were told by a different location, that they would not be able to accommodate our large order. We then contacted Newcastle, and the manager Jennifer, stated that they would gladly help us out, and have it ready for us first thing. We put in our orders on Friday, so that they could prepare for our order of 120+ pizzas. It is Tuesday, and we arrived at around 10:30am to start packing up our order, that was set for pickup at 11am. Jennifer had brought in several employees, including some from other stores to help out. They were like a fine oiled machine, who pumped our pizzas out quickly, accurately, and with a smile on their faces. Every single employee that was there was incredibly kind and humorous. This restaurant allows you to order online and then pick up your food. They have a failure rate of about 30% though and we oftentimes find they did not receive our order at all. This can be frustrating. Most recently we decided to try their gluten free crust and dairy free cheese. I would not recommend either of those things. The dairy free cheese gave me diarrhea for two days and the gluten free crust was hard enough to break a few teeth. To be fair, this is characteristic of most gluten free crusts I've tried at other places. But the dairy free cheese was truly bad. Not sure what brand they use, but it had no taste really and definitely has the consistency of wax. We will not order the above again. Smoking Monkey has quality ingredients and will go there in the future. Heck, I would even say that Papa John's Pizza tastes better. read more

MOD Pizza offers something I have been missing for years - a chance to eat pizza with my best friend. As many of my reviews note I am allergic to egg whites, but my best friend is allergic to milk. While I can happily munch on pizza he can't without any cheese and well pizza without cheese is acceptable only a handful of times before it just feels boring. MOD offers a dairy free cheese option that my friend loves. It is the first vegan style cheese that doesn't have a weird flavor or consistency. My friend loves it. He loves the super thin crust too. I enjoy more doughy pizza crust and once again MOD comes through by giving us both what we want. The wide variety of toppings and sauces provides endless combinations. The pizzas are assembled in a line with wicked efficiency. When I was there everyone was super nice and polite. There were laughs. I was impressed considering shortly after we arrived a huge group of teenagers - about ten strong - came in right after us and then a family of four. The line went to the door. On top of that they had Door Dash and Uber Eats meals that needed to be addressed as well. But the crew just kept the rhythm and kept going. I thought it was excellent choice for people with as diverse tastes and preferences as my friend and I. We love MOD Pizza and were excited to se this location close to our house open. The pizza was good, as always; fresh and tasty. I love their berry lemonade! Unfortunately they got my order wrong and I didn't realize it until I got my pizza. I'd ordered the extra thick pizza dough, and the paper under my pizza said it was supposed to be that, but it wasn't - thankfully I wasn't charged for the thick dough. I find the thin crust pizza a little less filling, so I wish they'd given me what I asked for. The other issue is that the restaurant was SO VERY COLD! For some odd reason, even though it was only 61F outside, they decided to turn on the air conditioning. It was very uncomfortable and made our pizzas cool down even quicker than normal. Restaurants should only turn on the AC when really needed. We will be back again to this location to try it again. I hope they turn off the AC unless it's actually hot outside! Feb 2020: We came here on a cold, rainy night. The pizza was excellent, but the cold air blowing on the table we were at was so freezing it made the meal unpleasant. So this is not the Mod pizza place I ate at but I'm going to guess they are all the same or very close. This was my first time here and I have to say I loved it. Pizza is thin crust like I like. They have a ton of toppings and unlike Subway with the same idea yet it a pizza, Mod was NOT shy about topping and I only had about 4 out of maybe 25 topping my pizza was almost too big for me to eat but I did it anyway. Salads are about the same you buy it and add as much stuff as you like. Great job read more

They really took the time on our pizzas, and even though we came in like 10 minutes before closing like jerks, they had good attitudes and made the pies with such care. Delicious and cooked perfectly, too. The store manager is absolutely the chillest. I loved talking with her the other night, so personable and funny. This is the best Mod Pizza I've ever been to by far!!! I went in there last Dec on a Sunday night, just before they closed. I called first to see if they would still serve me and they welcomed me in. Everyone who worked there was kind and smiling and no one was upset I was there last minute. I'm gluten-free and so grateful they have crusts I can eat, but they are tough to cook just right. Customer service James was very unprofessional in his job at MOD Pizza. He didn't want to assist anyone other than the people that ordered online or from the App. It was around 2:15 pm on a Monday. He stated that he was really busy and couldn't assist anyone until he was finished with his orders. He didn't even greet me and the other customers next to me. I think that's the reason why this place has a bad reputation, employees like James don't care about their job. I decided to go next door to Starbucks. At least they greet you and make you feel great about being a loyal customer. I don't know if I would ever come back to MOD Pizza again with this place having employees like James. read more

The parking is the only bummer about this place, as there are just not enough spots to accommodate the 3 busy businesses in this area. But if you don't mind parking across the street in the BECU lot and taking a quick stroll, this is a fantastic place for fast, yummy, cheap eats! They were very busy, I will give them that, but we ordered 5 pies and they didn't make them the at the same time - so half of our pizzas were cold by the time our entire order was ready. Additionally, their service was awful. I stood there for half an hour and not once did they acknowledge my existence, even when I asked for an estimated time. Disappointed to write this to say the least; I'll try to keep this brief, but to be honest, so much went wrong lol. We're about 2 weeks into this COVID-19 crisis and in an attempt to do our part in supporting small businesses, I've been placing an abnormal amount of take-out orders to try and keep these businesses afloat, and knowing how every transaction makes a difference in these times, it's exponentially disappointing to see how poor of an experience we had with our order. My $50 for dinner for myself and my roommates could have gone to another business that's working so hard to stay afloat, but instead I paid for service that would be considered subpar, regardless of the situation. -Order wasn't ready until +20 mins. after promised time -Ordered 3 pizzas + 1 salad, with only ONE of those orders being made correctly -1 pizza had a sharp metal object left in the middle of it, discovered by my roommate biting into it (thankfully didn't cut him) -Manager and staff were rude in dealing with another customer coming in with a legitimate question about their pick up order, gossiping about the older man IN FRONT of myself and another person waiting for their food I write this as a fan of MOD Pizza and in hopes that things will make a turn for the better ASAP! If I could give ZERO stars to this establishment I definitely would. I placed an online order that was made incorrectly. I added anchovies on one pizza and wrote in the special notes that it be put on half. Anchovies came on all four pizzas as well as my salad. When I called to request a refund the first employee told me to expect it in 3-7 business days. I received a call 5 minutes later stating they could only refund one pizza when 3 of them as well as the salad weren't able to be eaten. When my mother called back to sort the issue out, the working manager Athena, was very rude and condescending. She did not apologize nor was she understanding for the situation.
