First time at this MOD location (I've been to the University District one before). And I am a fan. I love the whole concept behind MOD Pizza. They have locations all over the place now, but started in Seattle. It's like a Subway or Chipotle style arrangement but for pizza. You specify what toppings you want and then it goes in the oven (only takes about 5 minutes to cook). You can put as many toppings on as you want with no added charge. This is great if you like a variety of toppings and it allows a group of people to all order what they want without having to argue over toppings (pretty much none of my friends like the same toppings on pizzas so this always happens if we order larger pizzas). The pizza is a thin crispy crust which is generally the type of pizza I prefer. And there are a lot of topping options, ranging from the traditional (black olives, mushrooms, pepperoni) to the creative (roasted brussels sprouts, cilantro). There are also several sauce bases to choose from other than tomato, like pesto or BBQ sauce. The only problem with the thin crust is that if you get a lot of toppings or heavier toppings (like the artichoke hearts, which I enjoy) the crust can be too weak to hold them all, leading to the toppings sliding off the pizza when you pick up a slice. Also, while the cheese does melt, it kind of reminds me of microwaved cheese. It doesn't stay in the oven long enough to get that crispy blistery kind of texture that is one of my favorite things about pizza. I also wish they had a size in between Mini (6 inch) and Mod (11 inch). The 11 inch pizza is a little bit too much food for me but I can't seem to resist eating it all even if I tell myself I will take some home. I might try the mini size next time even though it looks a little small. About an 8 or 9 inch would be perfect for me but I have that problem with a lot of places, like Subway as well (footlong too big, six inch a bit too small). I feel like Goldilocks. I usually just drink water but I loved the iced tea here. I mixed a combination of the plain unsweetened and the caramelized pear flavor. I haven't tried the lemonade but maybe I will next time. Fountain drinks come with free refills. Even though the pizza's not perfect, I will come back again due to the the convenience and ability to get anything I want on my personal pizza without being nickeled and dimed. read more

I had never been to MOD Pizza before, but I'd heard great things from some of my friends and my parents. This new location is right near my parents' house, so the three of us headed over to give it a try. The staff were all incredibly friendly! Welcoming us as we arrived and explaining the menu to newbie me. They were also cheerful and worked quickly. I had the mini Tristen with onions added and a side Caesar salad. I loooved the crust in the pizza. Very thin and a bit crispy. The flavors were great and everything was cooked just right. And I must say, as someone with a small stomach, a mini MOD pizza is just the right amount of pizza! The Caesar was good, although it could have used a smidge more dressing. The homemade croutons were out of this world! Prices were great and the interior of the place was clean and inviting. I saw they have milkshakes with mix-ins!! I feel so bad writing this review because I've really liked this place for pizza. So convenient and delicious flat crust. I even went multiple times in one week recently. But yesterday when I got home with my pizza I started finding small hairs - some baked under the cheese. I counted 7 but there easily could have been more because I noticed after eating half the pizza! Really turned me off. I'd been hearing a lot about MOD and was excited to see one open in Lake Forest Park. Waited with a crowd of people in a long line to order. I had both pizza and salad. The lettuce was fine, but the ingredients were water logged, and the dressing tasted like water. The tongs they used to mix/smash the salad bruised the lettuce, which was then crammed into a togo container. So the salad was a bruised, soggy, tasteless mess. The pizza was inedible. I tried the "Caspian". The crust was a tough, overworked. It was cardboard in the center, a tough cracker around the edge. I've had frozen Fred Meyer pizzas that were much higher quality. I am not someone who throws food away- I tried to feed this to the crows. They just picked off the chicken and left the rest behind. I was really disappointed. Skip it is my recommendation. It's for sure $20 I wish I'd spent differently. read more

I was the only one in line and ALL the employees are making themselves look busy with something other than helping me. They're making to go orders and stuff as if I'm not there. First time at any MOD pizza. We ordered online (glad we did the line in the store was long!) and got there just in time to pick up our food. I love that you can add whatever toppings you want and that they have so many options. I also really appreciate that they have other options than just marinara. I got the pesto on my pizza and it was amazing!! I also really enjoyed the salad I got to go along with it-- I usually don't expect anything more than lettuce and dressing when you order with take away pizza-- and this was far superior! It's basically a Subway for pizza. If Subway was overpriced, used extremely cheap and poor quality ingredients, and tried to sell itself ENTIRELY on it's gimmick. The only thing truly good about MOD is that it's price stays the same no matter how many (unlimited) toppings you want to slap on your pizza, and the speed of service. You don't have to wait as long as places like Pizza Hut for your pre-cooked pizza, or have to do it yourself like the local Papa Murphy's. Unfortunately, that's about all the positives I can give the place, other than the fairly cheery/friendly employees. The crust, arguably the most important part of the pizza, is a thin, burnt cracker-like thing similar to the cardboard used to hold the damn thing. The prices felt gouged; I could get a 12''+ thin crust pizza from the nearby Murphy's for $6 and just take it home. And even then, Murphy's thin crust is still thicker. I just went for a simple normal sauce/cheese with spicy sausage and pepperoni to start with (the employee there almost gave me the stink eye for not adding any vegetables). Ignoring the less-than-stellar crust, the flavor was simply okay. It wasn't necessarily anything to write home about. I don't even think the sausage was all that spicy, if at all. Their garlic bread strips were also a bit "meh". The marinara it came with was quite watery and bland. Underneath the cheery and welcoming atmosphere at MOD (at least at this specific store) is a very boring and cheap quality restaurant that's only really good if you need extremely average custom pizza as fast as possible, if you're being held at gunpoint. Because apparently the gunman REALLY wants you to eat pizza, for whatever reason. I mean, he's the one with the gun, who are you to judge? If they're actually paying attention to their reviews for constructive criticism, then I'll try and attempt to convey my disappointment into suggestions on how to improve; The crust needs to be MUCH thicker. I imagine that the burning problem would be fixed just by adding a little more weight to it as well. When the crust almost looks like paint on the pan you displayed to me, you know you have a problem. The spicy sausage needed some actual spice to it. The prices are far too high for what you get compared to what you can get at local competition, even if the "infinite free toppings" gimmick makes it seem more worthwhile. At least make the regular 11'' SLIGHTLY closer to the price of the 6'', perhaps $6.50? read more

Frustrated I said we have never been treated like this before. Corey then rolled his eyes. We were under the impression that we can build the pizza we want without being critiqued by the server. Mod's product is worth 5 stars, without a doubt... but tonight's experience really guaranteed I never return on a workday evening, at least at this location. It took me 35-40 minutes to get one pizza. Their Woodinville & Totem Lake locations crank out pizzas much more efficiently it seems. I understand the folks behind the counter are working very hard for hours at a time & perhaps they were having a particularly busy night, but 40 minutes is just too long guys. The pizzas were fine, but we were surprised to see two of the female workers with their long hair not pulled back completely, one with a bunch of herhair literally hanging down in front of her face. They advertise you can get whatever you want on your pizza or salad, but they were very sparse with my entree salad. After a few exchanges I felt very uncomfortable asking for a little more tomatoes or a little more chicken. The MOD pizza in Lynnwood is 10x better. read more

I really like that you can customize your own pizza. I'm not a huge fan of tomato bases so having the choice to have a difference in base was a huge plus. I like MOD in general, but as with any fast casual restaurant, consistency beyond the ingredients can be lacking at times - service, cleanliness, timeliness. Having said that, I have had multiple, genuinely great experiences at the LFP location. The food prep area is clean, the bathrooms are freshened and the people are friendly and accommodating, including impromptu table service when making rounds in the dining room. On our last visit, we enjoyed a fun, quick conversation with Jabbron who shared his exuberant personality and passion that any employer, in any field, would be proud to have. Our first visit to a Mod Pizza and it was great! We thought it had been overhyped and the food would be blah but our assumptions were wrong. First, the service was friendly and the environment was clean and fresh. Its cool how the pizzas cost the same no matter how many toppings. We usually like thick crusted pizzas but their thin crust is so flavorful with the perfect combo of chewy crunch that this is definitely a pleasant exception. The individual pizzas are the perfect size for sharing with one other person or eating all by yourself. We ate outside on the patio in the sunshine while they played classic 80's tunes overhead. Mod pizza is awesome - consistently delicious!! We always get a Maddy (cheese) and I love all the fun combos! Great thin, crispy crust, perfect amount of toppings, wood fired. My kids love the Pizzas, and those salads are seriously the BOMB, we like the deluxe with croutons. Mini or Mod size, you get it exactly the way you want! The LFP location is our favorite! Starting with the friendly and welcoming staff, then to very reasonable prices, and ending with unique or tradition toppings on a custom-built pizza that is quickly fired: you're going to love Mod. If you like pizza or salad I can say without a doubt this place is for you. The only complaint I've ever heard about Mod is that their pizzas are thin crust. Ryan and the crew at the LFP Mod pizza went above and beyond to fix an order for us. I screwed up an order when placing it online and asked to correct it when I got to the restaurant. Not really Pizza, but more of a Flatbread. A recent pizza has dough that is cooked with ingredients on the top. As an easy coaster, I have had some of the best pizza - this is not pizza. That said if you like Flatbread that's like pizza. This is not bad. But: terrible service. They have no concept how to live a line quickly and efficiently. Food here is really good, but this location gets one star based on the bad attitudes of the employees. The store actually got irritated with my daughter and I over their mess up on the order gave me a refund and told me to buy something nice with my refund.
