Yummy Italian food! I've been going to Sparta's ever since I was young; it's a family favorite! I love the Feta cheese dressing they use in the salads, and the Danish cheese they use is unique and delicious! I got the Baked Spaghettini, which came with a salad and buttery, thick garlic bread. All were so good and filling! This is the best spot for cheese lovers! Our waiter was awesome, especially since the last time I came in was with a group of 10+ people! Drove 30 minutes just to satisfy our pizza craving, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, our server (this sweet young guy) made us feel welcome. He seated us right by the fireplace, which was perfect because I was already a little chilly. He took our order quickly, was attentive, and just had great energy. Now, the food. My husband got his usual go-to: pizza loaded with cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and sausage. He was in heaven. My son had the chicken parmesan, but he asked to swap the marinara for alfredo sauce, which is an option and it was so good. I went with the fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms, and honestly....it was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious!! Seriously! I couldn't even finish it...ended up taking the rest home. For salads, the guys had a Caesar and I had a regular salad with blue cheese dressing. Everything was fresh and on point. Oh, and before I forget, I ordered a tiramisu to go on the way out. Because, why not? I knew I'd want something later on for my sweet tooth. And I had no regrets. LOVED EATING AT SPARTA'S! We ended up getting their Manicotti & Canneloni Combo and the Tri-Color Tortellini, which were absolutely amazing! And we could not get enough of their garlic bread: TEXTURE, AROMA, AND FLUFFYNESS - DIVINE! This is an amendment to at least on of my other reviews of this restaurant. I am not a pizza fan particularly. I've been to this place a couple of times to get pasta to and have not been impressed at all. Yesterday I was with a friend who wanted pizza. When we went in the host explained there were two large groups and it would be sever minutes for a waiter to begin helping us. We took a table and decided to wait. The waiter came in less than 5 minutes and said as very helpful. The Pizza- WOW! It was the most magnificent pizza I have ever eaten. It was pretty standard, Pepperoni, sausage, black olives , mushrooms and jalapenos. From the crust upward through the cheese on top, it was fantastic. Even though I don't eat pizza often, that's changing if I can come here. read more

The food was good! I was happy they had a GF option for pizzas but unfortunately no gluten free option for the pastas (maybe consider adding that too in the future?). Ambiance is decent. We were a large group so we sat on a round table towards the back of the restaurant. Nothing memorable about the salads though. Our party agreed that all the pizzas we got were delicious. I recommend the feta veggie pizza. I'm not sure if it's a one off or maybe they were understaffed on that day, but the food came out really late, and we had kids with us so that was a bit of an inconvenience. read more

Been visiting this spot a couple of times now. I am a big fan of their meatball sub - one of the best I've had in Seattle area so far. Pizzas a nice too but I'd go for the subs any day. They have lunch specials. Lot of tables but (from what I've seen) not a lot of staff - so if your planning to be seated then expect that there might be a wait or get your order at the table. read more

I grew up in the Seattle area and coming here was a treat. Over the years I've enjoyed the restaurant. While I haven't been back in years, this was the last time and I'll NEVER go back. The restaurant was quiet, 4 in the afternoon and we waited for 14 minutes before anyone came to bring water or ask for drinks. We almost walked out and went someone (we should have). My son and I ordered chicken Parmesan and my wife ordered a pizza. The salad came for each of the chicken Parmesan dishes. They were covered in cheese and not much lettuce. Awhile later the pizza came to the table and they left and said the rest will be out shortly. We waited for quite sometime and one of the chicken Parmesan came to the table and was told the next would be out shortly. While I waited my son offered me a piece of his garlic bread which was buttered bread, no garlic to be tasted, my son said the same. A while later my chicken Parmesan finally arrived. When we finished and the server asked if the meal was okay. We gave him the feedback explained here and explained service seemed to be non existent. His response back was that the restaurant help turnover rate is quite high. I explained the restaurant over the years had been quite good. However, we will never be back. The server said he had heard many times the place was better than it currently is from many people who had come in. We paid our bill and left. read more

I have been to Sparta's at Mill Creek a while ago and really liked the food. We wanted a dine-in experience with some great ambiance, so we decided to try the Bothell location. Hospitality was really great. It was a busy evening, we called in advance to make a reservation. The table was ready when walked in. We were helped by Alondra that day. Started with a mini pizza - #26 - Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Olives, Onions & Sliced tomatoes. Ordered a Lasagna with the soup, Cheese Ravioli, Root beer float and couple of sodas. The dine-in experience was great. They served the beverages first followed by the Salad. Also served the bread on the side with Olive oil/vinegar. Took a little bit time for the main courses to arrive. Really enjoyed the pizza. Top! The cheese ravioli was not impressive as last time we tried it; so as lasagna. Something was missing in those. Couldn't make out what's lacking! We told Alondra about this as well, she mentioned she will take the feedback to the chef. The overall experience was nice. The food was not up to the expectations. May be one off day. There are plenty to try from their options. We are disappointed, but that's not stopping us from going back and try their other options soon! read more

Cheese lovers, this one is for you! I wasn't initially convinced that I would like a Greek-style pizza, but I'm so glad that I went in with an open mind and an empty stomach. Their pizzas are a little different, with many of the toppings under neath the cheese, which I actually liked because I feel like they stayed more secure. The cheese they use is so melty and delicious, perfect for an amazing cheese pull! The owners are also fabulous and I love that this spot is locally run by a family. Even though the food comes out quick, it's not fast food. The ingredients all taste really fresh and they even make their own dressings in house! I've eaten in the restaurant a few times and like the vibes along with the beer and wine menu, but usually end up taking this to the couch, where it is best enjoyed. read more

A group of us came here for a Yelp Elite event and while there I bought a Blonde draft beer. Beer and Pizza...one of the greatest combos ever. I enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere at Sparta's. This place consistently provides great food and service in a locally owned unique restaurant. Great Greek and Italian influenced dishes and beautiful decor throughout. I usually get takeout from Sparta's location in Lynnwood. Haven't tried the new location in Mill Creek. However, this visit on 5/10/23 in Bothell was a convenient detour from Woodinville via Hwy 522 on the way home to Shoreline. Convenient parking lot, large interior dining area and also an outdoor patio area - perfect for the warmer, drier months to dine al fresco. Pleasant person at the host/reception stand. Menu items include starters, apps, pizza, pasta, and desserts. I placed my order onsite - large Italian sausage with extra cheese (w/ discount, tax, tip = about $35). It was a relatively brief wait and was handed a fresh, hefty, piping hot pizza. Back on the road and stuck in the usual commute traffic, the pizza traveled well and was relatively warm by the time I arrived home for dinner. Great local indie with convenient locations in Lynnwood, Bothell, and Mill Creek. Solid choice for both dine in and takeout. read more

I'm not sure what's happening but this pizza is melting in my mouth. The cheese is heavenly, what is it? I got a pepperoni and sausage slice and added some hot honey on top and honestly if anyone interrupts me eating this they will land somewhere on the scale of being blissfully mindlessly ignored or have their head bitten off (ewe, gross, don't make me, don't ruin my pizza mouth flavor). Lovely atmosphere. Salad was good. I ordered an $18 Meatball sandwich. Po Boy bread slightly burned. Meatballs buried deep in bread. But the first thing I noticed were cold lamb bits at the top of the sandwich. I assumed they made gyros and Meatball sandwiches next to each other. I pointed that out and sent it back for another go. Second sandwich came with hot meatballs, mozzarella...and cold bits of lamb at the top of the sandwich, also, the bread was legit burned! "Greek Pizza" Wait: 4 people before us (no wait because no one was in the restaurant). ~12:30 Price: 4 Sizes, 7", 10", 12", 16". The 10 inch pizza I ordered was around $10.50 (Not cheap, bad value. . . see food review below) Staff: Nothing above and beyond, but average. Unfortunately server shortchanged us. (~19 cents. . . but that's not really that big of a deal, just probably wont come back again). Environment: Nice, Cozy. The fireplace was very cool. Tables were clean. Utensils were not. There was a fat scratch on the booth seat tho which was weird. Restrooms were clean, sink was kinda short. The ceiling in the restroom was moldy. Food: #10, Pizza with Pepperoni, Bacon, Sausage. Pizza came out nice and hot. Quite pricy for the size. There was a crap ton of cheese. Like TOO much cheese and Im used to having a lot of cheese on pizza. Cheese was ON TOP of the toppings so the pepperoni was not crispy. Bacon was not bacon, it was ham. The cheese stuck to the meat and when I bit it, it fell of the pizza because of the sauce. It was dripping with oil too. Very heavy pizza (Filling pizza ig?). Dough was nice. Other comments: This chain could save money by putting less cheese on the pizza. Maybe count better too? I want to like Sparta's a little more than I do. It's a local, home-town type pizza joint, and I think we all would like a little more of that. The problem is, the pizza just isn't that great, in my opinion. The service is good. There are always a lot of teenagers working, and that's a good thing. They seem to be well-mannered and well-trained, always friendly and helpful. At our last visit a week ago both the young man hosting as well as the young man serving were just about as friendly as can be and made us feel very welcome. I know a lot of locals really like the pizza here, and I won't say that they're wrong, it's just not my taste. The special cheese they use is kind of bland and doesn't add a lot to the flavor. The toppings are fine, the crust is fine, and even the price is fine...but I've never had a meal there and thought, 'Now that was a great meal!' Sparta's is close to my house so we go there a lot of times because of that. It's a decent meal at a decent price...I just wish they'd change it up just a little to make it a little tastier. read more

I've been here a few times and I recommend it. This was my first time ordering out and I'd say, dine in for sure. The pizza was cold when it was delivered. Now, I like cold pizza but not when it's meant to be fresh out the oven. When it is fresh, it's great! Its in the top 10 pizza places I've tried out here in the PNW. I'm a huge salad fan too. I loved this dressing with this salad. It was more of a spring/summer salad but it paired well with the pizza. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's actually fire. It's Greek style pizza so the dough is very fluffy, sauce is very robust, toppings are under the cheese and cheese browned on top. If you've ever had Spiro's pizza, this is it's more athletic better looking older sibling. If you like New York style pizza it's probably not for you. Coming here brings feelings of nostalgia for my husband and his parents, so it's nice to be able to visit this location. My in-laws love getting the senior specials, while my favorite is ordering a mini pizza. I went here again because I really wanted to like this food. It is close to my house, with good prices and a wide variety of foods, but my entree was horrible again. I ordered the spaghetti and there was some kind of sweet cinnamon like spice in my dish. My friend who came with me is East Indian and he said the spaghetti tasted like East Indian style spaghetti with turmeric and cloves. I wasn't sure what it was, but I think it might have been too much brown sugar and oregano. I ended up eating half of my entree salad (which was good) and boxing up my entire dish for my friend to take home. read more

Sparta's USED to be a great pizza. I used to be a regular here. One of the best. But the last 3 times I've had pizza here, it's been very disappointing. They used to put list of meat on the pizzas. We would go back, but not sure it's "the best in the Universe," as they advertise! I can appreciate the confidence though! Food: Pizza is thick pan style crust. Sauce is a little sweet but too much... it's quite delicious. Lots of cheese. Salad portion is good, but the lettuce could be fresher. Some pieces were a little old and starting to look it. Garlic bread was huge but barely warmed up. Service: Very nice staff! Food took 15 minutes. Only did pick up though, might dine in next time and update the review. Price: We ordered a medium pie and salad to go... it cost us almost $40! That's a lot of dough... Location: Parking lot was easy to get to and lots of spaces. It's close to downtown Bothell and many homes in the area. Good location for to go orders. There is a lot to say about this pizza. The pizza looked just like the picture. First bite response was I could really taste the sauce. Many pizzas see the sauce overpowered by all the other ingredients. This one had a great tomato flavor. Nice balance of cheese, toppings and sauce. We were seated immediately and the atmosphere was very homey and nice which I loved. They had an indoor fire pit which was cool. They had an abundance of staff but we were one of the only tables of guests. The food was good. We got a #34, #35, and a create your own pizza. They are deep dish pizzas and the larges are definitely a lot of food.. but they are also expensive. The pizzas were unique, as they have cheese over the crust, which I really enjoyed. We also got the mannicotti, which was good but nothing to write home about. We got a Caesar salad and a house salad with the creamy feta dressing which was really good and unique! I think the biggest let down was the service and the set up. We were a group of four, but did not have enough room for the 3 pizzas on our table so one had to be put on a nearby table which was annoying. Our server also kept forgetting little things- side of ranch, drink refills, extra plates, etc. Overall, our experience here was fine but it was definitely nothing to write home about. read more

I was excited to try this upside down method (toppings underneath the cheese vs vice versa). Thought that was an innovative idea but unfortunately didn't love it. It resulted in the cheese becoming... stiff? If that makes sense? It came in a block form almost as if it was melted on a plate beforehand and then layered on top of the pizza after cooking (I doubt this is the procedure but that's how it felt). The cheese wasn't melted into the sauce/crust/toppings at all. End of the day it's take out pizza so we can't complain, but it wasn't my favorite. read more
