The garlic knots we took home
    Pamela K.

Went here for lunch with my husband. This was our first time going to Romio's and it didn't disappoint. We had the personal pizzas and garlic knots. The price was amazing for what you get! Our waitress was so nice and attentive and she spent time explaining their menu and making suggestions. The food came out piping hot, really fresh and super tasty.

Fresh mozz and sausage personal pizza

Came to this place for lunch one day and I'll admit, I was a little skeptical. But I'm glad we gave it a shot - the food was delicious. I'm not much of a salad fan, but the salad I had here, as simple as it was, was fantastic. It was so fresh! I created my own pizza consisting of fresh mozzarella and sausage, and it hit the spot. This place isn't the fanciest but it's definitely not to be passed up if you're looking for some decent and relatively quick Italian. I'm glad we found it and we'll be back again.

    10" House Special

I really wanted to leave a stellar five star review but man oh man this pizza just didn't do it for me. I don't think I had high expectations cause pizza is pizza and it's so good whenever and wherever. Maybe I just didn't order the right things? I got two 10in pizzas, the house special and the pepperoni. Both were pretty decent in size but lacking so much flavor. So bland, nothing really stands out between the two pizzas. They're a little top heavy which some might like but the pizza was so soggy. I was really missing that crunch whether you get it with the crust or bottom of the pizza. The pizza was way too floppy, everything falling off including cheese and all the toppings. I'm glad I tried out this place after driving past it for so many years but I don't think this style of pizza is for me.

Nasty undercooked eggplant with dried out pasta
    Katherine G.

The restaurant was empty. I placed an order for takeout. The description was fried eggplant and pasta. The pieces of eggplant were 2 inches thick. Barely cooked through. I could barely cit through with the knife and couldnt bite it. The pasta was dry dry and maybe frozen and them baked in the metal dish. Absolutely inedible. The tiramisu was delicious.

My partner and I were trying to think of a place for dinner tonight then remembered this gem. First time back since our last visit and the food was still fantastic, service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet conversation.

Food was amazing, the serving size is wonderful. Each dish comes with a side and garlic bread, food was ready fast. Salad was exceptional and definitely one of my favorite underground spots!

We ordered three entrees. I thought it was expensive for pasta but the portion size is huge. I can put it away but I didn't even finish this. Lots of cheese, temperature was still hot when the delivery arrived. The picture online showed a whole chicken breast but it came diced. Easier to eat.

The most disgusting wings and WAY over price. $15 for gas station quality wings. YUCK!
    David F.

NASTY wings. omg that was terrible. Straight up gas-station level of quality wings and they cost $15!!!! Never again. I regret paying for this so much. I had friends come over and they all agreed it was not worth it. Embarrassing! We didn't even finish them. I wish I never spent my money on this because I never expected such crap. AVOID these!

I hate to give such a subpar review, but it is much deserved. I love Italian food and don't order it very often. So I was very excited to do did my lunch break last Saturday. I got the cheese filled tortellini with pesto sauce and feta, and a slice of chocolate cake. The garlic bread that came with the pasta was more chewy than crispy, but tasted okay. The tortellini was very heavy and had a pasty texture. Also, too many pine nuts for my liking. The pesto flavorful was pretty good though. But the worst thing- the chocolate cake. I honestly didn't know you could mess up cake that badly. It was very dry and crumbly, and the "frosting" was a fudge type consistency that was so cloyingly sweet... it was bad. I was so saddened by this. I would not eat here again.

Solid choice for pasta with a lengthy menu. It's the classic comfort food feel that leaves you full and satisfied, but nothing too fancy

When we got there at 11:40am, we checked in and the staffer said it would be approximately an hour to hour and a half wait on top of our already 25 minute wait. Whoa! We didn't know these were typical weekend waiting times. My MIL was willing to wait so we took off and came back in an hour. At that time, they were able to seat our party of three at a table outside. So, it took us about 90 minutes total to get seated. Note to future diners to get on the waitlist early if you're coming for weekend brunch!!! You use a QR code to order from an online menu. Liked how detailed the menu was and how we could remove or add ingredients. With my dairy and eggs intolerance, this comes in handy. My MIL ordered Eggs Benedict, I got the smoked turkey sandwich on focaccia, and my hubs got the chicken sandwich on focaccia. Our sandwiches were packed with lots of deliciousness, but my MIL's English muffin was toasted so hard she couldn't even cut through it with a steak knife. So she sent it back and she also asked for her poached eggs to be cooked harder. The staff member was apologetic and said no problem. It took a while to cook it, but when she got her remade Eggs Benedict, she really liked it. We split a slice of apple bread which was delicious. So happy it was dairy free! My hubs also enjoyed his London Fog. My MIL got a huge slice of coconut cake to go and loved eating it later, telling us it was very moist and coconutty. It was a bright day with nice weather and was a perfect time to try out DERU Market. Even though it was very busy, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. They worked like a well-oiled machine. We definitely want to come back and try more of their dishes, pizza, and desserts.

While you wait, grocery shop or relax and have a drink at the Q20 where you can stay to eat your pizza, too. It's fast and efficient! And each pizza is only $10! I've eaten at the Tutta Bella at the Crossroads before. While I recall liking the pizza, it wasn't a wow factor to me then. Somehow, because of the simplicity of the process and a flat $10 per pizza rate, the total value is so much better here. Also, I now have a better appreciation to a true Neapolitan pizza. Tutta Bella is the first pizzeria in the Pacific Northwest to be certified as true Neapolitan - with a softer center (not meant to be handheld cardboard-like NY style) and a chewier crust. Read "Our Story" on their website about their VPN Certification, the culinary discipline of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN) - from the preparation of raw ingredients to the cooking method in an approved wood-fired oven. We had two pizzas this visit - the Leonardo and the Mediterranean. Both were satisfying - with a balanced amount of toppings and cheese, not greasy, not excessive. Good meal!

The restaurant looks big and roomy. They have parking on their lot; the streets nearby offer parking, too. My BIL used to love this place because they have "cheese-on-everything". I am partially lactose intolerant, so I avoided it until now. LOL. The Food: Italian Sausage hot oven grinder - 2 Stars Menu: spicy Italian sausage, marinara, green peppers & cheese Hubby had pizza in his mind when he choice this grinder, meaning the individual chunk (globs?) of sausage meat. The Italian sausage was literally a sausage sliced in half and placed in the sandwich. He said it tasted like a polish sausage with hot dog texture (yikes). It also has a pale red/pink color that resembles a hot dog (yikes again). The toasty bread that we saw in other Yelp photos was less so for both of our sandwiches. They were toasted but much softer/limp when we unwrapped our sandwiches. Vegetarian hot oven grinder - 4 Stars Menu: mayo, lettuce, cheese, onions, green peppers, black olives, tomatoes, mushrooms & seasoning I asked if there's a half cheese option. She said they can do light cheese. My grinder is well filled with all sorts of veggies with discernible cheese. It's fine by me really. I asked for no mayo, and I added my own hot sauce at home. It tasted quite good that way. The next time I take-out grinders again, I will bake them in the oven to brown the bread a bit. These sandwiches lost some texture on the way home. Note the website says $13.95 for all grinders. The Yelp online ordering says $16.95 instead. I didn't ask for a receipt, so I have no idea what the correct price is.
