Gnocchi dish
Anne M.

It's been years since I had been at this restaurant so I was delighted that it remained consistent all these years later. We were welcomed and seated immediately on a not so busy weeknight evening. We were offered bread service immediately, that lovely fresh bread with garlic oil was amazing!! We opted for the bruschetta for an appetizer, it was divine! The baguette was so good, and the tomatoes were fresh and plump! For the main, I ordered the gnocchi with vodka sauce and Italian sausage, while my partner had the Papperdelle dish. Both were fresh and the sauces were cooked well. The prices look scary but we agreed it was great value for money. Our server was great too. The interior has an old style Italian feel. Overall a lovely experience, glad to see this small local business still open.

Linguine Carbonara

i know this rating may look bad but it's really not. the food was great, everything was cooked very well and i ate every bite. the ambiance was pretty and it didn't feel cramped despite it being a small space. our waiter was courteous and checked on us regularly. the only problem i have is that the food is *very* pricey. my eggplant parm -- which, btw, did NOT come with pasta -- was more expensive than some of the meat dishes on the menu. it was a fairly large portion but i'm not sure if it was $35 large. speaking of the meat dishes, the majority of them come with sausage (pork) so for any other ppl that cannot eat it (like myself) just make sure you double check the menu! it's all listed. overall i had a good time and i enjoyed my food, but i'm unsure if i will return bc of the pricing. i understand that it's bougie woodinville but i think this may be a "one & done" type place for me.

Strawberry Salad!

I have always enjoyed this restaurant in Woodinville. The food is consistently fresh. The service here is always welcomed. Small, quiet place that is different from a lot of local restaurants.

We picked up a togo order with 2 apps and 2 mains for $116 before tip. We ordered the meatballs, calamari for apps and the carbonara, and lasagna for mains. It's been a while since we've been here and the last time we were here, the food was good, unfortunately, the food today was awful. Overall issues: The food was over salted across the board. Price: I'm happy to pay for dine-in and good food but was genuinely surprised by the $120 tab before tip. We paid, we tipped but shocking for 2 apps and 2 entrees. Specific Issues: the meatballs were dry, the lasagna was crispy and had WAY too much hamburger meat like it was made on the fly. It had like 1 layer of a noodles over hamburger meat and sauce The noodles weren't fully cooked as well.. The Carbonara was dry as well. Genuinely disappointed with the food, to the point where I had to cook dinner for the whole family, defeating the purpose of pickup. I did try to reach out to the restaurant to try and address the issues with them directly but we never got a call back. I hate to resort to a 1 star yelp review but the food was genuinely terrible tonight.

Mushroom ravioli

The food here is so good! We happened to be in the area and wanted to try a new place. Randomly chose this spot and so glad we did because it was delicious. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and my husband got the gnocchi. Both tasted great, which is why I'll be back to try other dishes! Make sure to make a reservation!! We were lucky enough to get seated with out one on a thurs evening but the folks that arrived after us were turned away because no more seating - it gets quite busy. Nice ambiance and service.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. We have dined here many times over the years, and it never disappoints. Nice, quiet ambiance-service is always top notch. Prices are a bit on the spendy, but the portions are beautifully presented and very generous. Bread comes on the side and it is delicious. Highly recommend!!!

This place was a hole in the wall gem! The inside was so nicely decorated and the food was amazing! The staff was friendly but not too overbearing.

It is cute, small, lots of regulars, great food, and has good servers. We have been a few times and constant classic italian food.

Can you bring your own wine and pay a corkage fee?

I am sure you can do that. But they do have a very nice choices of wine also.

Came in on a Friday (had reservations) with a small group from out of town. We were walking over…read morefrom Mark Ryan after a tasting - and got a call from the resturant verifying we were still coming, saying they had a long wait list, at 5 minutes after the reservation start time, which I found odd, but OK. I can see trying to manage a wait list and they were pleasant enough. We picked up the pace! We arrived 8 minutes after the hour, and were seated quickly. I saw then why they called us, as they had nearly half the place locked up for reserved seating. Tight seating, for sure, but we were seated quickly. But what was bizarre is that even by the time we left, several of those tables still sat empty, listed as reserved, and no one ever came in. So I am not sure if they had a big group ghost them, or it was just poor time management / reservation planning, but I digress. We started with a round of cocktails and bunch of water to catch up from the tasting prior. Tasty drinks, all served quickly, in basic rustic barwear. Don't think I have ever had a martini served in a rocks glass - but it was kind of the vibe so we rolled with it. We got a sampling of apps as well - the simple rustic foccacia bread (OMG so good) and calamari and burrata hit the SPOT! Then dinner all around. Three pizzas and a pasta: The Rugola - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto di Parma, shaved parmesan. Probably the best of the bunch. Delicous crust with nice crunch and a soft chewy center The Capricciosa - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, artichoke hearts, sausage. Same delcious crust, but a little weighed down by the artichokes and ham making the overall flavor less balanced. The Brie E Fichi - Mozzarella, brie, fig jam, prosciutto. This COULD have been the real winner, but the crust was over done. Instead of leopard spotting on the bottom, it was mostly char, making the crust hard and crunchy, not soft and chewy. And my friend had the house special short rib ragut that was was good EXCEPT in portion size. Much smaller than would be expected and to be honest, the flavor were a bit muted. But that could have been a result of the fact that the pizzas all exploded with flavor in comparison. No dessert for this group - as we were fully cooked by the end. Overall a worthy visit and some great meals!

They had spots to sit outside or inside! Located close to all the wineries so a perfect spot to stop of lunch or dinner after. I enjoyed the starter of bread with oil and vinegar and the bread was so soft and tasty! We shared the vongole and carciofi and we all agreed they were both yummy. I had the Brie e fichi pizza which I enjoyed, but honestly preferred it cold the next day over freshly served! I would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

I honestly don't get it, but I still tipped above 15% for the service regardless. Service was very attentive, so I do feel they deserve a reasonable tip. But if the restaurant needs the customer to help them pay for their staff with this added surcharge to the bill, then maybe it's better for the staff to find a better job. Seems strange to me. But anyways, regardless, I enjoyed the food quite a bit. I'm usually a pretty tough critique on Italian food since it's one of my favorite cuisines. So for me to say the food is good should say a lot. I got their chicken risotto and I was impressed by it. I also got an opportunity to try some of their pizza and the crust was done very well. Not a floppy pizza. They have a proper pizza oven for baking it. Very good! The restaurant atmosphere feels quite high end. Great for date night, business dinners, or a fancy family meal. The restaurant did feel a bit crowded and tight though. Especially with how busy it was. I honestly think this place has great food. I just hope the staff gets paid enough. Like, I'll tip! Just don't have me pay for what the employer should be paying them. Just have me pay them for their great service.

Our waitress was superb--patient, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was phenomenal. We ordered several appetizers and every single one hit; the crab dip alone is reason enough to come back. The Caesar salad was crisp with a perfectly balanced dressing, and the pasta--wow. My only minor criticism is the desserts. They weren't bad, but they were clearly outshined by the appetizers and main courses by a wide margin. That aside, we'll definitely be returning. Bonus points for the music--it was spot on and exactly what you want in an Italian restaurant.

For mains, we ordered the margherita pizza, pesto penne, fettuccine alfredo, pasta primavera, and gorgonzola tortellini. Overall, the food was okay but did not taste very authentic, although the tortellini really stood out. The service was great and very attentive, although it felt a little aggressive at the end when plates were cleared almost immediately after we finished. The decor also felt dated and could definitely use an update to match the menu and prices. Not a bad spot, but there is room for improvement in both the food and atmosphere.

Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but it was Valentine's Day, so totally understandable given how busy Italian spots get. Parking was pretty convenient with spaces both in front and behind the restaurant, and if those are full, it's close to the Totem Lake area so there are other options nearby. The ambiance was definitely unique--lots of mannequins, motorcycles, and a sort of roadshow vibe. It felt fun, a little quirky, and different from your typical Italian restaurant. Service was good overall, especially considering how busy it was. Our server was attentive enough and kept things moving smoothly. We started with bread and butter--nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. The garlic herb compound butter oddly felt nostalgic and reminded me of childhood. For appetizers, we got the meatballs, which were hearty and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta in a wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. There was a good amount of seafood--not super crab-heavy, but enough to get a few nice bites--and the sauce itself was light and well-balanced. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which he said was good but leaned a bit on the bland side. Overall, it feels like a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Definitely a place we'd come back to when we're in the area.

We love to eat family style, so it was nice to sample a wide range. My daughter loves the carbonara. The mushroom and truffle oil with spaghetti could have been more truffle-y. The porchetta sandwich had good flavors with the crispy focaccia, tender porchetta and marinated eggplant. Pasta is cooked al dente. If you want the pasta cooked longer, let them know. I swung by on a Saturday night with some friends after 8PM and the store was pretty empty, but it sounds like they might have stopped doing open seating recently. Carbonara (4.5/5): Definitely the best of their pasta options. Super crunchy bits of guanciale with a super creamy, cheesy sauce. Thick and satisfying, especially with their bucatini if that's available. Polpette and Ragu (3.75/5): Tried these a couple times and they aren't bad, but don't blow my mind. The creamier options are just much richer and the tomato sauces are just a bit standard. Porchetta Sandwich (2/5): The sandwich is not good. Stick to the pasta. The fillings were cold, which was surprising, and while I actually quite liked the eggplant and green chimichurri-esque sauce, the focaccia is a crime. Insanely dry and not fluffy. Tiramisu (4.25/5): Actually, super delicious and comes in an adorable little mug. Not overly sweet, great light cream and melt in your mouth sponge, with a great balance of flavors.
