MOD Pizza is my go-to for pizza!!! I've told all my friends about this place, and they completely agree. IT IS JUST THAT GOOD. In addition to the quality of the food - they have great customer service. The staff is ALWAYS friendly & makes you feel welcome when you walk in. The concept is great - you build your own pizza, and the prices are set (depending on pizza size) no matter how many toppings you put on. The ingredients are super fresh, with a variety of meats, veggies, and cheeses for your choosing. Sometimes it can get really busy...but the staff will make sure your pizza is just right. Super casual place to lunch/dinner with your friends or grab pizza to-go if you don't feel like cooking that night! If the place isn't packed, the pizza takes about 5 minutes to cook, and you can be on your way out...OR you can order online and set a time to come pick it up. I'm thankful I don't live too far....because the drive home can be really hard when you have to try not to eat it... Also, try the cinnamon strips...It pairs perfectly with your pizza. :-) read more

When you struggle for words to tell people, and I mean EVERYONE how much we LOVE MOD PIZZA I start sounding like a groupie for ZZ Top.....seriously people. My daughter will eat her vegetables in their mini salad because she can see them, how fresh they are, AND she can have her pick of a plethora of meats, yummy cheese, and then I can have heaven on a crust. Thank you MOD for coming to our neighborhood, Mark the Manager is the BEST! Adam is pretty cool too, and the way that they greet customers with a loud hello cracks me up. My pizza life will never be the same thanks to this place.....all other pizza places are boring, too chewy, awful service, and now thanks to MOD my life will never be complete without my specialty pizzas from MOD. I visited the location on Memorial and Dairy Ashford today. It was my first time. I ordered the smallest size with pepperoni. They don't sell slices. Pizza came out surprisingly fast. Well,the idea is great: cheap price for unlimited toppings;and the service is good,but the crust..it's was chewy and didn't taste good.I think it's because they use this kind of dough that cooks fast...Because usually it's takes 10-15 minutes for a good pizza to be prepared. read more

To make a long story short, MOD Pizza unintentionally stole $11 from me. I place order (under the name Hugo, my coworker who was going to pick it up). Get an email saying the payment didn't go through. That's fine, but my coworker was already there, so I put another order in while he's eating. He'll pick it up before heading back to the office. Get a friendly phone call from Mod clarifying the order, because Hugo was there eating, and another order for Hugo just came in from me through the internet. I tell him what's going on, and he says "Oh, we'll start making your pizza immediately instead of having it ready at 8:15PM." Excellent, I think, 5 star service. Coworker finishes eating, goes to grab my pizza, they act like they have no idea what's going on. I even give them my order number over the phone, they can't find it in the system. They didn't make my pizza, so they start making it right away. I get the pizza, and it tastes very good. I check my bank account the next day and I've been charged twice. I check my voicemail and apparently they made me a 2nd pizza and had called to see if I was going to pick it up. So, they made me 2 pizzas after claiming they couldn't find my order for 1 pizza. And they stole $11 from me. One star, which is really a shame, because I quite enjoyed the pizza. But unless some action is taken to correct this, I can never eat here again. A couple of friends and I stopped in after returning from a weekend getaway. Good service, good parking, clean restaurant and bathroom. We split a salad and 2 delicious crispy pizzas. Friends chose the toppings and one included brussel sprouts!! I decided to return tonight on was pleasantly surprised the first visit wasn't a fluke. Add all the toppings from a great selection (freebirds/chipotle style), they know how much to put on to make sure the crust stays crisp and isn't weighed down by toppings. They cut the pizza in quarters but I asked for eighths. The salad is similar, you choose what you want. The service is friendly but not necessarily helpful in what toppings/flavors would complement each other. They leave that open for you to decide. Both times I went during off hours so no wait. Recently had dinner at MOD, I must admit I am a Pizza snob! This restaurant specializes in personal pizzas! The dough is frozen, pressed into pie in the restaurant and is super thin! The problem is the crust tastes like wafer board! The toppings are not premium. The taste of the pizza was less than average. $17 for pizza and a beer! Not bad on price, ambiance of the restaurant was sterile! Overall experience was so-so! read more

An attempt at the increasingly popular 'authentic' Italian pizza. (Thin crusts cooked very quickly at very high temperature.) A pretty good attempt too. I don't think the Italians would approve, but I think they make a tasty pizza at a fair price. The staff don't seem to care much about your experience or their jobs, but no matter, they can't screw up the order or the delivery when you're standing right there. It's Chipotle for pizza. MOD Pizza has a great selection of ingredients and features some pre-designed pizzas if you don't feel like blowing a gasket trying to decide on toppings. I like how the price remains the same regardless of your topping selections. The pizzas are cooked in a pizza oven by an employee who rotates and adjusts them as necessary to make sure your pizza is cooked appropriately. No conveyor belt ovens here! The is a good selection of drinks including unique lemonade recipes and craft beer along with traditional sodas. Perfect destination for picky eaters and foodie adventurers alike. read more

When this place gets busy it's like the staff loses all control and has no idea what they are doing. The food gets sloppy and the service is terrible. When I asked for a manager the "worker" pointed to the rudest employee of them all. Management needs to make some changes ASAP. There were a lot of unhappy people in that restaurant. read more

If I could give them 10 stars I honestly would! I go here a lot but never had a yelp account and felt so compelled to create one after my last visit (8/4/15). I order a pizza with their dairy free cheese, BIG mistake that cheese is awful (no fault of theirs) and I brought it up to the lady asking for extra sauce to disguise the awful cheese and she offered to make me a brand new pizza even though I'm the idiot who ordered dairy free cheese. Think a more upscale subway for pizza. Found this place by accident - a happy one. You get a made to order pizza with any number of combinations put together in front of you. Use the cheat sheets of ingredients - you'll miss something otherwise. Since the pizzas are very thin, they cook really quick. Worth the trip. read more

Good food but terrible service!!! I placed an order via their website. My family was in town and there is always a line because MODs Pizza staff are so slow in processing the orders. After we placed the order online and selected the requested time from the drop down menu, we waited and went to the store to pick it up. Mind you, 4 pizzas and 4 salads, approximately $65 and none of it was ready!! No one had checked the internet orders and they had to make all of it as we waited an additional 35-40 minutes because they were so busy. The whole purpose of placing an online order is to avoid the horrible long lines and slow service. We sat there and waited while my wife and my mother were starving waiting at home. They apologized once and gave me a card for 1 free dinky pizza. I just spent $65 at your establishment and you made me wait more then 30 minutes after I did everything right and order online. Thanks MODs for a horrible online ordering experience. My advice is do not trust their online ordering system and you will be lucky if anyone picks up the phone to confirm that your food is ready. I will not return to MODs or give them any more of my business. All it takes is one bad experience and poor service to turn off a customer. The only nice thing I will say is that the food is good but it is not worth the time and money for their pizza. There are so many other pizza places in Houston that can provide quality food, good service with good value. Hopefully you guys (fellow yelpers) will have a better experienced then I did. Relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating layout. They never disappoint and the price is very reasonable especially in the Galleria area. Friendly staff everytime we visit. If you like thin crust, you're good to go. I like that it's made right in front of me and that you can add as many ingredients as you'd like for no additional charge. Everything looked fresh, I'm more of a meat and cheese kinda girl so I can't speak to the flavor of the other options, but nothing appeared dry or wilted from my view. They were very generous with the portions except for the sauce, I had to ask the guy to add more and then ask for more again, (in his defense, I think he was in or just out of training). It didn't take long to bake and I know it's weird, but I like the box that it came in, it wasn't your traditional fold over box, it was an actual lid-I'm easily pleased. My only complaint would've been that the crust was a little too soft, but after I reheated my leftovers the next day on my pizza stone, it was like eating a freshly made pizza again. I think I'm hooked. I'd like to thank Zoe's Kitchen for being closed and allowing me to give MOD a chance. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This place appears to be tasty and clean. I mean who wouldn't love a pizza joint where you can easily customize your pizza without paying extra for toppings. I have been to MOD quite a few times. Unfortunately I will never come back. DO NOT GET THE SAUSAGE HERE. My fiance ordered a pizza with pepperoni, chicken, sausage and few other vegetables and he was sick to his stomach the next day. It was the worst food poisoning I've ever seen. The ONLY thing he had eaten was his MOD pizza. He also got the Nora Virus from this place. Their tables and the way they have their toppings set up is very unsanitary. They will use the same gloves for different types of meat and vegetables which causes cross-contamination. My fiance went to the doctor and she confirmed he received this virus from there. I am surprised that all of this happened from MOD pizza but I will NEVER go back again nor will i ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

The service at this location is sketchy and unsanitary. Upon my visit a month ago, I found 3 small black hairs in my pizza. I then looked at the people working behind the counter, especially the one who made my pizza, and a majority of the workers were wearing hats or some other kind of headwear to prevent their hair from getting into their pizza, but their headwear was either half on or little effort was given to prevent their hair from getting into your pizza. I mentioned this to the manager, and he said "Yeah, man, I just took over management here, and I'm trying to improve from the last manager, can I get you a gift card?" I politely refused, seeing how I wouldn't be coming back to this location. Well, today, I decided to go back. I noticed the same hair situation. What surprises me is that some of the women servers have a huge head of hair, where they give no effort to braid it back or be more sanitary about it. The guy serving me had no hair, so I was relaxed, while he made my pizza. I had arrived at the beginning of lunch, so the restaurant was fairly empty, but all the servers behind the counter were folding pizza boxes preparing to-go orders. I waited 10 minutes for my pizza, which would usually take less, to be approached by one of the servers to apologize to me that she burned my pizza, and they were cooking another one. I asked here if she remembered all the ingredients, and she said yes. When it came back out, the extra ingredients I requested were missing and one of the pizza slices had nothing on it. Maybe I'm complaining about too much, but this was my second visit. read more

Great concept! We hadnt heard about this pizza place until someone told us that they do thin crust pizza, baked in a traditional pizza oven (albeit not wood fired). So we decided to give it a go and must admit that it was pretty darn good. You can either select toppings at your choice or choose some of their favorites. We selected a couple of the favorites and slightly modified them. They came out fast, great tasting and all for a very very reasonable price! Will certainly return. read more

I ordered a pizza from here online and when I went to go get it, they hadn't even started making it yet and didn't know my order was there because their printer wasn't working. Also when I got the pizza home, for some reason there were two crusts on top of each other, so only the one on the bottom got cooked and the one on top with the sauce/toppings was raw, like still stretchy. Also there was even sauce in between the two pizza crusts. I think they put my pizza on top of someone else's or something. So some raccoons probably got to eat the pizza, because that went straight into the dumpster! read more

So if you look from my Pearland location I left a pretty bad review my whole family got sick they did try to make it right and I have been really hesitant to return but this fat boy likes pizza so what can I say . This location is amazing the staff are so friendly and they honestly give you as much or little of what ever topping you want the whole concept of build your own pizza is a great idea wish I would of thought of it . They start from dough you pick the sauce the cheese the topping the xtra Sauce cheese etc they have everything you want the pizza is a perfectly thin crust with loads of flavor and its under 10 bucks I don't know where else I can get a pizza with what ever I want for anywhere cheaper Or better . The lines can get long but don't let that scare you ,you can be in and out in no time they also have deserts they I have not tried yet but will when I have a big appetite that day .so if you are a pizza love like most of us get in here in give it a try . read more

MOD Pizza is my new favorite pizza place (sorry Grimaldi's), and here's why: 1. Service - The assembly line pizza makers and cashier were extremely friendly. 2. Menu - The menu is entirely customizable... think Chipotle! You simply inform the staff what you want on your pizza or salad as you move through the line. All of the ingredients looked fresh. MOD also offered a selection of house made sodas and teas. 3. Price - Comparable to Papa Johns, and much, much less expensive than Barry's. The price depends, of course, on what you order to eat and drink. I ordered the mini MOD (which is 6 inches in diameter), while everyone else ordered the MOD size (which is 11 inches in diameter). The total for all ten of us was just over $50. 4. Ambiance - The dress code is casual. Jeans, shorts, and flip flops are acceptable to wear. 5. Taste - The best thing about MOD is the taste of the pizza. I normally don't like thin crust pizza (as I really do enjoy the taste of pan crust), but this crust was absolutely delicious! The crust was neither flaky like a cracker nor doughy. It was perfectly cooked and topped with just the right ratio of ingredients. In short, I would highly recommend MOD! read more
