I've been to a lot of different build your own pizza places and it's usually all the same and nothing stands out different. But this place has really got my attention. I truly believe that all the ingredients here are fresh. The customer service here alone is outstanding and I would definitely come back. Every single employee was upbeat and friendly and welcoming. I would choose this location allowed out of any other build your own pizza places. Great job to all the workers, the manager, and everyone who works here. This place got two stars because of the pizza otherwise customer service was terrible and deserves zero stars. The pizza was outstanding perfectly cooked and the toppings were great. But the customer service because it was horrible. To the cashier that wore the Chargers hat, you are a terrible representation of this restaurant. Here are the things that you did terribly wrong. You told me that the original look like WEED Who does that? Then when I asked if you had any deals on Pi Day, March 14 you said you received 10 calls and that everyone who asked you for a deal on Pi day annoyed you. Then finally when paying for the pizza, you asked me if you can go home after the transaction. Why would you do that? You need to be fired. read more

Well this is a tough call because the actual pizza had good flavor. Ordered pizza with sausage pepperoni green bell pepper, side salad, dessert and a Sprite through DoorDash. Pizza tastes really good and I love the thin crust pizza and I will definitely make a trip to eat the pizza in person, because the pizza was a little cold by the time we got it but that's okay since we ordered it through DoorDash. The big issue is sending an order with no utensils or napkins. How do I eat the salad without a fork? And the bottle of Sprite was not refrigerated. I'm staying in a hotel so I ate a salad with my fingers with no napkins. read more

I ate at Mod Pizza on 26722 Portola Parkway in Foothill Ranch The place was nice and clean. The sever was nice and friendly. The nice manager allowed me to take some photos. I ordered: The Mad Dog Pizza; mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, and sauce; I also added; pineapple, red onion, olives, and feta cheese. A good combination of flavors. 3.5 stars if I could. I ordered 2 pizzas over the phone and the guy was a little hard to understand, but he DID get it after I had him repeat everything. They were ready on time and picked up by a friend. No mistakes! I really enjoyed mine and would order again. Crust is a little different - kind of a cross between a crispy flour tortilla and a pizza crust that's a little different. Maybe they are pre-made and just used that way. SHOULD HAVE GONE TO BLAZE Thought I'd give this place one more chance. Mistake. Ordered a salad. The kid behind the counter was being skimpy with the toppings and asked me about 5-6 times "Anything else, sir?" What the Hell is that about? LOL. Asked for the pizza to be well done, and it was out of the oven before I paid for it, maybe about 2 minutes I think. The baker offered to make me a new one because "I can't put it back in the oven once it's been cut." So I'd have to wait even longer. Uh, okay. Anyway, I was hungry, the pizza didn't look too bad, and he didn't charge me for it, so I thought I'd try it. Friggin' thin crust here and it was raw. Gross. The toppings were just kinda warm. Lost my appetite and didn't want to risk ordering another pizza. I think the Health Department needs to be notified about this restaurant. To anyone else who gets served pork sausage that's not up to temperature and actually eats it, good luck! People deserve better. Pizza is supposed to be BAKED and served HOT. This place is a joke. Got there 50 minutes early and waited in line with slow service and a busy line to be told that they could not serve pizzas anymore after being one minute over 10:00 pm and having waited 50 minutes. Have been coming to this location for a while and to have this absolutely disgusting customer service just made them lose one of their consistent customers. The slow service and unbelievable lack for customer care surely has solidified me never coming again. Please avoid this place at all costs - go anywhere else because the employees are so unprofessional and wouldn't know customer service if it smacked them in their face. read more

First time at mod pizza on Friday night. It's comparable to blaze, pieology and all of the other build your own pizza places. I went with no cheese, red sauce, sausage, pepperoni, ham and onions and bell peppers. I really liked how they kept their counters clean and how toppings weren't mixed in with one another - I seriously hate that!While the line moved quickly, it took awhile to get our pizza - not because of the cooking process but because 6 pizzas came out at exactly the same time and the pizzas were just sitting there until someone could cut them. We took ours to go and ate them at home. It was really good! I would definitely come back as it's one of the closer pizza places of this type to me. read more

This place is great. The staff is friendly and attentive. I have had lunch with colleagues at the location in Foothill Ranch around 5 or 6 times and everyone was friendly and outgoing. Even if they were just feigning interest in our order, they did it well and with what seemed to me genuine enthusiasm. Huge fan of the roasted brussel sprouts. Tried this place for the first time . During the pandemic we are forced to order take out only. These guys put together a program that is awesome . Visit their website , review their menu , place your order, pay online , drive to their parking lot , phone them at prescribed time and an employee walks out and hands you your order . So easy . And the best part is the wife loved their pizza and side salads . At very affordable prices . Yep we are a customer now ! read more

Food is good but no matter how many times i request my pizza be cut in 8ths it rarely happens. When i first order they write it on the paper (no one ever looks at that after its cooked). I confirm again when i pay and then even if i tell them before they cut it, it still doesn't happen. I come about once a week for the past two years and tonight i'm finally writing a review because its not been a big deal, but this is clearly a systematic issue and i don't know how else to have it cut how i request it. Maybe by writing this something will be put in place to ensure whoever cuts the pizza actually looks at the paper, or its communicated clearly. read more

I was charged twice for a pizza i never received. I called explaining what happened and spoke with an employee who didn't seem to really have a solution for this. I tried to then place an order over the phone with this same employee and she could not figure out how to accurately take my phone order. The lake forest location off of El Toto rd always seems to get it right and has outstanding customer service. My recommendation is to go there. read more

They gave me the amount of a small salad when i ordered a MOD salad for pickup. Just make sure to not use their app when picking up. First time customer, long-time pizza eater. I walked in on a Friday night closer to closing time and I was greeted by the friendly staff. I like the casual ambiance of this restaurant and it looked like the staff keeps it pretty clean, and there is plenty of seating both in the dining room and in the patio. So far so good. I came in for something super intense... a pepperoni pizza (LOL), so basic, I know. The guy putting together my pie was really cool and asked if I wanted extra pepperoni, which I thought was a nice gesture. I got my pie to go, so I did't eat it as fresh as it could have been, but it tasted great and pairs well with a nice hazy IPA. I'll be back for sure! read more

Personally favorite it the BBQ Chicken.. the manager is so nice and so are the people who work here. This has become one of our fabulous places for lunch. I asked for extra sauce as I do everywhere with no issues, they say they can't. I've been her 2 other times and one lady said she could? But now they can't? After I asked if I could have sauce on the side and they said yes. Once our pizzas were done I asked for that sauce and it was tossed at me. I LOVED the pizza here! Hands down the best personalized, quick, pizza concept I've been to thus far (and I've been to A LOT)! This location is new construction, so it's super clean and modern on the inside. The staff was really friendly and efficient. I was splitting a pizza with my mom for lunch, so I didn't go too crazy with the toppings, but their selection was amazing! The crust was incredible! Cooked to perfection and didn't have all the messy corn meal on the bottom like some other pizza place. Great pizza and salads here and the service was fantastic! They really have one up on the other create your own pizza chains by offering different crust and salad sizes, large pizza, small salad or vice versa depending on your mood or hunger, I love that. I was starving so i went with the double pizza, two crusts stacked on top of each other just to see how that turns out. Well, same size as the regular and the double crust does not really make sense nor is worth getting again, it was just kind of odd, still fun to try once. The small salad was still plenty, especially after adding all of the free toppings that you would like, which was pretty much all of the veggie options for myself and tons of meats for my husbands salad. Several sauce and dressing options, it can really take some time to have them build your pizza and salad here, as the staff is a bit slow but very caring and there are just simply so many toppings, plan a bit of a wait. Prices are more than fair, we had plenty of leftovers. Plenty of seating and not too busy with sufficient and easy parking out front. Great location, we really enjoyed our dinner here! read more

Came here for lunch with co-workers and was excited to try out this make-your-own-pizza chain out because I've LOVED others in the past. It quickly became apparent that the quality of ingredients here were low quality, poorly cut and tasted old :( The toppings tasted bland, and the mushrooms were practically 1 inch thick slices. It was horrid. I got my pizza with half white and half red sauce, but the white sauce looked translucent. It was not an opaque, normal-looking white sauce. It sure didn't taste normal either. In addition, it took a really, really LONG time for each of my co-workers' pizzas to come out. With many other fast fired and better pizza places around that will give you faster service, higher quality ingredients and more food at a lower price, I most likely won't come back, and I don't recommend this place. read more

I've been going to the MOD Pizza in Irvine since they opened so I was pretty psyched they opened one here. It's my fave of all the "build your own" pizza joints. On this visit, I ordered a heavily modified Dillon James. Yum! Hubby and I also shared a custom salad (Mod sized). Food was solid and everyone was friendly, maybe just a little green and shy. My husband and I had never been here before and when we approached the counter Ryley fully took the reigns, sharing her favorites, talking about what they offer, their gluten free ingredients etc. There was no manager on duty to compliment her, but Ivan came over right away to take responsibility of being the shift lead. Got a Calexico pizza (chicken, jalapeño, buffalo sauce) and added roasted garlic to it. Servers were fast and efficient. Good price & fresh ingredients. Great first experience at MOD in Foothill Ranch. I've been to build-your-pizza places before, but had yet to try MODs. (We are just visiting the OC, but have an MOD in our hometown.) Our first visit did not disappoint. The service was fantastic, especially Trevor who was awesome..... super friendly & welcoming to us newcomers! Our pizzas came out as ordered and all four hit the spot. I loved the option of balsamic fig balsamic drizzle to top of my veggie pizza. Delicious!!! That's something I don't recall seeing at some of the other establishments of this type. I would love an option of a wheat crust.... something to consider! The interior seating was clean, with plenty of room for our large group to enjoy a long lunch. Location was convenient and the service was quick, responsive & efficient. Based on this experience I will definitely try the MOD Pizza back at home & would return here for a solid fast-casual pizza meal in the Foothill Ranch area.
