As I've been traveling in Asia for 3 months I had pizza craving, specifically Mod Pizza craving. Asia has really good pizza, truly. But they aren't fun like mod's. It's personal size, you get to choose what you like all for an affordable price. In fact it's almost the same price as one would pay for a pizza in Asia. None can beat that here in the US. We replaced this order for our daughter for delivery via Uber and we have had this restaurant pizza in the past, but not in this area. We ordered the 11 inch Caspen pizza adding mushrooms and bacon and the mega cookie. The pizza was good, but they did not top off the pizza with the barbecue sauce. It was missing. In addition the cookie was over cooked and it was very hard when trying to warm it up. I like this spot. It's in a Decatur shopping plaza behind the sprouts market. You have the choice of choosing a speciality pizza or creating your own. The menu is not complicated. Several items are in the mini size. I like that, because I was able to get a little bit of this and little bit of that. The desserts were tempting, but at the end I opted out. I also ordered a drink. Ordered a Mega Mod pizza today. Ask that the pizza crust not be burned. I was there about a month ago and my pizza was so burned that I asked for another one to be made. The young man that waited on me had an attitude for having to do so. Unfortunately, today the same young man put my pizza in the oven. After it came out the oven I asked him if he could slice the pizza into 6 even slices because I was taking some back to work to share with my coworkers. I don't know if this young man remembered me from before but he acted like he had an attitude again!.When I took my pizza to work to share it looked liked it had fallen out the box. I don't know if he threw the pizza in the box but one slice that was in there was sliced so small and hardly had any cheese and toppings on it, I guess the cheese and toppings were what was laying in side the box. The other slices were cut terribly!, not even into pizza slices. It was like he just took the pizza cutter and just sliced across the pizza!. His customer service is terrible!. I called back to Mod Pizza and asked for a manager. The young man that was there also, answered and said that he was the manager. I actually gave him a donation for his fund raiser he was having. He was very nice and pleasant but he made excuses for his worker. I also told him that the worker was sitting on the counter when I came in, again he made an excuse and said that he didn't notice that but that he would talk to the young man. A year or two ago my myself and coworkers would frequent Mod Pizza Decatur often and it was always a pleasant time. There seems to be a big turn around in workers there. And the one that I encountered again today acts like he doesn't like his job or doesn't want to be at work. He definitely needs to be retrained, if he was trained at all, in customer service and how to prepare, cook, and slice pizzas. Also there should be uniforms that the employees have to wear and hair nets when working over food. The first time that I went there, the same young man was working with his pants hanging and his underwear showing. If I had known that he would be the same person handling my pizza this time I would have cancelled my order. If Mod Pizza wants to keep their customers then they definitely have to do better in managing their establishment and their employees, and to have them realize if they know better, they will do better. read more

MOD Pizza was perfect, I mean I created it from the menu of course I had a garlic pesto with mushrooms and pepperoni and it was absolutely amazing. The service was great as all of the workers were extremely attentive. The manager was a little hard on them but they were all doing an amazing job. The restaurant was spacious and extremely well lit and it wasn't as busy as we expected for a late evening but that made the pizzas come quicker so that was an extra plus. He simultaneously scratched the Crack of his butt and his genitals. I brought it to the attention of the only other employee present at the time. She didn't say anything to him, but he heard me when I said, "he needs to wash his hands and please make sure he does NOT handle my pizza." He never emailed his hands and continued to touch the register and various common areas in the restaurant. He served the next guest who entered the restaurant but he did glove up. I was in the mood for pizza this evening and I had a few options nearby to choose from. I had never had MOD pizza before so I decided I would change that. This spot is different from some pizza restaurants I've been to. Unlike your franchise pizza places, you can actually dine in here. It's great for groups, a date or a solo outing. It has a very chill vibe and I really liked that. They have their specials but they also give you the opportunity to build your own pizza, so that's what I did. You have the options of picking between a mini 6", mod (11") which is thin crust and mega (11") which is thick crust. I had the Mod 11" with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, mild sausage, pepperoni and jalapeños ($9.97). Once you've built your pizza to your liking, they place your pizza in the large gas fired oven. Besides the pizza, I also had a Caesar salad ($9.97). This particular salad is made of romaine, tomatoes (diced), parmesan, asiago, croutons & caesar dressing. The pizza took maybe 7-10 mins before it was pulled out. Last, once your pizza is done you can choose a sauce to pour over or have on the side. The list of sauces is made up of about 7 different types. I picked the Sri-rancha sauce. The pizza was amazing! The thin crust was on point. All the toppings came together and made this pizza a spicy one. The mild sausage, plus the jalapeños and sri ranch sauce was the perfect combination to produce a pizza with a great kick. The pizza came out very hot of course and when they cut it for you, you can have up to about 6-8 decent slices. Add in the salad which you can also choose between mini, mod and mega (I had mid) and you have a great dinner that can not only serve as dinner but as a snack later as well. They pour the dressing on your salad which seems to be just the right amount. It isn't too soggy nor is it dry. The caesar salad must be what takes this salad to the next salad because it's also amazing. With great prices, great food and a very chill vibe, MOD pizza is a dope spot to grab some food when you're looking for something quick outside of your typical Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns etc. try them out. First I'd like to praise and applaud the Decatur location for rising above such rude, inconsiderate, compassion-less guests that went above and beyond to be a PAIN! Let's first acknowledge that it's New Years Eve at the end of the year 2020 when most people who'd be out celebrating are staying in and ordering out! I'm sure every restaurant is getting their asses handed to them tonight! The Postmates map is all orange which indicates EXTREMELY HIGH DEMAND! Trust me on this one! It's just so happen that this location's online system has been oversold/overloaded with more orders than they have the brick oven space for! I myself placed an order for pickup at 7, but to my surprise I walked into a dining area filled with disgruntled people arguing that the confirmation times are much longer than expected. DUH! Not only do they have to keep stopping to entertain these guest inquiries, they're seemingly frustrated but holding their composure very well. Then you have some guests picking with them because their not acknowledged every 5 minutes checking on their orders! COME ON GUYS!!! You can definitely tell the privileged guests who were about to become belligerent or had already become irate! Last time I came here I was trying to healthy got the cauliflower pizza and honestly I didn't like it. This time I went with the regular pizza crust and it was so much better. I like how you can chose one of their pizzas or make your own. I made my own with spicy sauce, pepperoni, spicy chicken, tomato's, and bell pepper. It only took maybe 5-10 mins to cook. They were scraping the bottom of the barrel for the regular pizza sauce and no employee wanted to go get more to refill it. Men's bathroom smells bad and is dirty, coming from a man. I think the ingredients were sparse, but you can definitely ask for more to be added. I had the Bianca. It was the only pizza with a white sauce. I would recommend adding more cheese. It will taste sooo much better. :) The hubs had the seasonal MOD salad. It had ham and pumpkin as two of the main ingredients. I thought the pumpkin was going to be strange (i.e. texture wise), but it was in little chunks so it added a nice fall touch. The chunks of ham really made it seasonal and added a slight saltiness to the salad. Service was pretty on point even though it's a fast food business.
