I used to live in Ohio so I was thrilled to see a Donatos location open up in Toco Hills near my home! Mark and I have ordered from them on three separate occasions and the food and service are consistently good. The prices are higher than Marco's Pizza or Little Caesars however the ingredients taste higher quality and we prefer the crust. My favorite is the Margherita pizza with the drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Mark likes the Classic Trio. The Caprese salad is consistently fresh and we love the Paul Newman salad dressing that comes with it. Mark also loved the meatball appetizer. The dining area is small and it's possible to eat there but it's really more of a location designed for carry out orders. We utilize the app to place our orders and typically they are ready for us to pick up in 15 minutes. We recommend this location! read more

I ordered online. The online ordering experience is okay. Rewards were easy to use but it wouldn't let me order a day ahead. I had to come back and choose a time day of. When I got there the pizza was ready. It's clearly mostly fake out because only a couple tables were inside. My order came with a bag and some paper plates, seasoning and Parmesan. The pizza was good. It's definitely thin crust and I like a thicker crust which they did have but I wanted to try their original. It was good just I don't know if I'd go out if my way to try this place over others. One bonus for it though was the plant based sausage which was good to try. read more

Hello - my wife and I dined at the North Druid Hills location and had a less than desirable experience. The pizza was not cooked long enough and was doughy and thus my wife asked if they could cook it longer. My wife did have one slice of the pizza to determine that the pizza was not cooked enough. When brought to the attention of the manager, he indicated that he could not recook the pizza without burning it and also not refund the money because the pizza had a slice missing. This response to a situation where the pizza was not cooked long enough is totally unacceptable and very disappointing. As a frequent customer of this location, I will not patronize this establishment in the future. read more

I finally decided to give Donato's a shot after my colleague raved about their cauliflower crust pizza. It was easy enough to place a pickup order on their website and the order was ready when promised. I liked that on the website you could customize toppings, what half of the pizza you wanted it on, etc. We got the 14" Large famous thin The Works Which had Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms, Green Pepper, Yellow Onion for $19.99. What I liked most were the fresh toppings and the way the pizza was cut into smaller squares instead of slices. I didn't love the crust - to me it tasted like frozen pizza crust. We will likely order here again but I'd like to try a different crust option. The large was plenty for the two of us with a healthy portion of leftovers. read more

First time at Donato's. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of online ordering and pickup! You can tell at first taste they take pride in fresh ingredients! I ordered the Skinny Pizza, cauliflower crust mozzarella and spinach pizza and the garlic cheesy bread. My favorite was the mozzarella and spinach. The atmosphere was cozy. After months of wanting to try this place, I finally decided to pull the trigger. Customer Experience: 10/10 By trade, I'm a CX Coach, so I'm always on high alert and this was a great experience. I was greeted upon entering. And the manager, I think, took my order. I had questions bc I'd never been here before. He was very friendly, enthusiastic when answering. I witness this same interaction with his staff and other patrons. I decided to wait inside for my pizza and he didn't just call me up, he brought it to me, let me inspect it before leaving and also handed me a bag full of Parmesan cheese and paper plates. I thought that was super cool. Interior: very clean and organized. They had gender neutral bathrooms. There is limited space to eat inside, but not good for really large groups. Food: I ordered the "Thicker" meats pizza. It only comes in large but I didn't want thin crust. It was FULL of meat. But, I wish it had more cheese. The sauce wasn't bad. It killed my hankering for pizza, but I wasn't particularly wowed by it. Now, it's not bad at all. I just lived a good distance away, and would return if I'm on that side of town. Nostalgic! My go-to pizza spot while a student at The Ohio State University. So pleased to see Donatos finally arrive to Atlanta! I got a large classic edge to edge pepperoni plus sausage. I received a warm welcome upon entering the restaurant. I like the special touch of writing a personal message on the box. I also appreciate the reserved parking spaces for Donato customers. So excited to see Donato's Pizza has finally returned to Metro Atlanta! We've been craving it for the last 20+ years ever since they closed their location in Gwinnett off Sugarloaf Parkway! They got my husband and I hooked and then bounced. Rumor has it McDonalds bought them and then resold it to the original owners a few years later after closing several locations. Anywho, they are back and the pizza is as delicious as ever. My husband and I drove the 45 minutes to the Toco Hills location the very same day we discovered they had reopened. He ordered THE WORKS pizza (minus the mushrooms) and a Big Don Italian sub for his lunch the next day while I ordered the Cauliflower Garden (minus the plant-based sausage) and a Vegy sub. Yes, I also wanted it for my lunch the next day but after just a sample bite I couldn't resist eating one half of it. BAD DANI, bad!!! NOTE: The owner quickly remade my pizza after they forgot to remove the plant-based sausage as requested. He was so kind and apologetic. I really appreciated the gesture because it's hard for me to ask for anything to be remade, even when the error wasn't mine. I'd rather have just eaten it than make a fuss, but I was grateful that he insisted on correcting the error. THANK YOU!!! Good thing they are a considerable distance from our home or I might find myself foraging on their pizza and subs far more often than my girly figure would appreciate! I was very excited to see I had a Donatos nearby. At last a thin crust pizza I can appreciate from edge to edge with pepperoni. I love the edges of my pizza. I moved to Atlanta from Columbus Ohio and I love a good thin crust pizza, Tonight was my first time ordering pizza for delivery. I will not do that again. I am simply a person that enjoys my pizza hot. I order from places that still hired delivery drivers from within. My pizza was no where near warm. I didn't realize it was an outside silvery service until I received a text whereas I could track the delivery. On this night it was battle of the pizzas. We ordered from two different places at the same time. The competitors pizzas did arrive first. It was hot right out of the drivers hands. Mine not so much. I won't bother to go into detail about what was ordered. I just know it was not right. The cheese bread was mediocre at best. One person ate their entire piece. My pizza...let's just say it was missing some pieces. As an edge person you can only imagine how disappointed I was. The pizza arrived at 9:50 and at 9:51 I called the store 4 times and no one picked up. Throughly disappointed as the pizza was cold. But it was missing pieces . From the looks of the piece...that never made it into the box. I was so frustrated I forgot to take a I picture of the garlic cheese bread. Service was great taking the call in order. Donatos Pizza is complete nostalgia for me as it reminds me of my childhood pizza parties in Fairfield, Ohio. Between LaRosas and Donatos, I ALWAYS choose Donatos every time. I was excited to finally have time to go over to the Toco Hills location. The service was amazing. I was greeted immediately. I ordered the Mariachi pizza. Just okay. This pizza had no depth. The chicken, tomato's, and sauce was decent, but everything tastes the same. The chicken lacked flavor. If you closed your eyes and took a bite, you wouldn't have recognized chicken was a topping. The jalapeño was not spicy at all. That was my favorite part of the Mariachi pizza as a youth. That spice factor. Unfortunately it was missing. Next time I'll try the pepperoni to stay on the safe side. All and all, Donatos in Atlanta is a little underwhelming which stinks because the pizza has been so amazing up north. The worst pizza I've ever had! I paid $16.84 for a small pizza but they gave me receipt for$14.03. The pizza was cold and burnt around the edges. And really small...I was expecting pepperoni to the edge not 6 pieces on a par-baked crust that came on a food service truck! Tasteless or little to no sauce on it.They said it was cold because I took too long to pick it up. My first and last time to do business with them. They called the police to report a trespasser because they wanted to leave and set the alarm. My fault for not doing a little more research before placing an order.
