I love KMC, so much that I'm writing a second review on this particular location. I visited on a Thursday morning and actually didn't plan on coming here at all. I stopped in at the coffee shop next door and had planned to work from there for a while until I didn't see any outlets. So I got out of line and scoped out KMC and alas, an outlet. I've only ever had the juices for purposes of cleaning and almost grabbed one of the juices on this visit, but I glanced at the specialty drinks and went for Matcha Latte. The girl behind the counter suggested the Matcha Rose Latte, so I decided to get that instead! I sure am glad I did. It was good! As for my working experience, it was amazing. Ambiance is wonderful. Service is great, professional, and fast. Food is ok but note that if you get an açaí bowl and expect fruit on the top, it's not going to be there. I was expecting an açaí bowl with blueberries and strawberries on top (per the menu description). When I asked why they were not there, they told me it was in the blend. Overall I am disappointed with the lack of fruit, volume, and presentation for the açaí bowl. Also I asked for no dates or cashews for the bowl and asked to replace them with chia seeds and goji berries. They accurately removed the dates and cashews but charged me $2 extra for the chia and goji. So...no substitutions I guess. I paid $18 for a rather disappointing (though still tasty) bowl. Looking at it further I realized my mistake. The deluxe açaí bowl would have had the toppings I wanted for just $1 more. Did not realize the cashews and dates and strawberries and blueberries were all just part of the "açaí blend" That serves as the base for both the regular bowl and deluxe bowl. I love a good smoothie when it is hot outside. I got the tropical one which didn't contain any almond milk or nut products. The straw is not plastic it says it's made of chlorella and is compostable. The smoothie was not too sweet. Tastes like all the fruits. Prices seem fair. read more

The food and service were horrible. I requested a refund after the first salad and they refused a refund and offered to remake a salad. They called the manager and he told me he would issue a refund and doesn't have anyone in the store to provide a refund and the manager stated that he doesn't have "people like me" requesting a refund. He also told me when I get my business I can do what I like and next time go to the location that fixes the food like I want it. read more

Visited Toco Hills Town Center and needed a quick "pick me up" and found this cute spot. They had a couple drink options, but this one stuck out because of the maple syrup and cinnamon! If I could give this place a negative or zero score, I would. This was my first time here and it ended with the police being called because I wanted a refund on a product, I HAD NOT EVEN RECEIVED yet. (Crazy right). The young lady who helped said only managers can issue refunds and offered to take my information to get it later. I told her that was not acceptable and asked her to call her manager, to see if he would offer a cash refund or walk her through on how to do the refund, she obliged. The store manager blatantly told me to come back on Monday, mind you, Monday is Memorial Day and when I refused and also refused to leave my info, he told the young lady to call security and then refused to speak any more. I said well should i call the police ( I didnt want the incident being more blown out of proportion), the manager said, CALL THEM, I did! After speaking to the police for about 15 more minutes going back and forth with the "offsite manager", he told the young lady how to do the refund over the phone. SMH....with a 78 restaurant score, I would be nicer to my patrons. I don't recommend this place at all!. Let my experience serve as a cautionary tale for you. Spend your money where you will be respected. The young lady who helped me was very nice and apologetic and it was nothing she did wrong and I assured her of that, bottom line....DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! Okay, so I am very happy that before I wrote this review I decided to visit a second time to try different items on their menu. Kale me Crazy is just a tad bit over rated BUT it is a quick, simple and easy healthy meal to grab for lunch. The first time I went I had a half smoked salmon salad and half kale Caesar salad along with a vegan wrap. Now the salads were great. I was not expecting the salmon to be pretty much raw but I still enjoyed it. The vegan wrap was very basic and I could've made something better at home but I did enjoy it with the sauce they provided. Now my second time coming I decided to try the chicken wrap on grilled whole wheat and had avocado added... this wrap was AMAZING. The flavor hit me so hard I literally almost moaned out loud in straight food satisfaction! Definitely can't wait to go back and try out some smoothies and other wraps. read more

I'm a big fan of Kale My Crazy for lunch! The turkey wrap is awesome, I'm usually not a huge turkey fan but their's is so flavorful. The only thing I'd note is things aren't always consistent. On one visit my wrap will be nice and neat and the next it will be not wrapped at all and a bit messy. I recently ordered a combo and didn't want onion on the salad but wanted pickled onions on the wrap (which I specified) and the wrap was missing the pickled onions. The time before the wrap was missing the hummus. But still, the wrap is just so flavorful. I am also a big fan of their lattes. They are made with cinnamon, cocoa, and maple syrup, and they are super tasty. The Greek salad is also great and full of tasty things like chick peas, peppers, and feta cheese. The price point is high, for a half wrap, half salad and coffee it was $19. This side of Cameron Village can be a bit tricky to park in, but if you do a loop or two you can find a spot as long as it is not the holidays. read more

I landed on pink splash and added a protien in -hemp seed. I also got a shot of turmeric, lemon, and honey. Both items were yummy. I'd say the price was a tad steep, but not bad for a treat every now and then. It matches the pricing of the area. I went to Kale Me Crazy to buy a salad and spent close to $20. I like their salads, so I was a returning customer. When I received my order, I noticed the salad dressing portion was quite small for the size salad given, so I asked for one extra dressing. They said, we'll have to charge you $1.08 for it and proceeded to ring it up on the register. My response was, but I spend nearly $20 for this salad and the amount of dressing you've given me isn't enough for the portion. The guy's response was, "Take it up with management." Needless to say, I just took my salad and left. I really think that could have been handled better. To request I go to management over a salad dressing is silly. I've been here once and it was pretty good but not super impressive. 1) The portions are HUGE!!! I was only able to finish about half of my meal. 2) I got a spinach and arugula salad with shredded beets, walnuts, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, and hemp seeds. It was good but definitely something I could have made myself. Looking back, I'm not sure why I ordered this because it was a very simple salad. The shredded beets were cool though. 3) My mom ordered the poke bowl and enjoyed it. She said that the tuna was excellent - not too fishy tasting. She also really liked the vegan mayonnaise sauce. 4) Prices were a bit steep, but I guess this is something to expect for healthy food. 5) Presentation is great. Very clean and aesthetic looking. Staff is very friendly and helpful, as well, and the food came out very quickly. Not sure if I'll be back, but if I do, I'll definitely order something different. This was my first visit; and I didn't know what to expect. I have several food allergies, which make it a difficult task to dine out. I knew that I wanted something clean,fresh,and appetizing. After walking around,we found it tucked at the end of some quaint shops. It was a really small space; I'm glad that we came after lunch,when it wasn't busy. The board on the wall showed all of the smoothies, raw juice shots, salads, bowels, wraps,ext... I was not sure what to choose,so I asked for help. Due to my allergies,I had to be careful. I decided to get the acai bowel. I didn't know what that even was,but I was open to trying it. I really was surprised that something so healthy could be so enjoyable to eat. It was more of a dessert than a meal. It filled me up and satisfied all of my senses. I will try something different next time,but I really liked what I ordered. Definitely give it a shot! Came here at around 3:30p on a Friday and it wasn't crowded at all. Someone greeted me right away and took my order to go. At first I thought it was just a smoothie place, but then I realized they had food options as well. I had to try the Salmon toast and see how it compared to the Nova Lox that I've had at Bruegger's and Einstein Bros. The radish slices were an interesting addition that gave the toast a nice crunch and nice color presentation. I really liked the dill leaf garnishing which just brings all the flavors of the salmon, pickled red onion, and cream cheese together. Light spread of cream cheese on toasted whole grain (ezekiel) bread gave the overall experience a nice satisfying finish without the overstuffed feeling that I've had when the base carb was a bagel. With that in mind, I would say that the double, which is two slices, would be better if you wanted to make it more of a post-workout snack. But for a light mid-afternoon snack, it was perfect. The $15 for a double is definitely more of a splurge for the amount of salmon that you get. But for the quality of the overall flavor and presentation, it's a nice treat. Would recommend. read more

I'm a first timer and I could honestly say this spot was pretty good! I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with grilled chicken, kale, tomatoes, parmesan, and caesar dressing wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The wrap was a decent size! I also go a side Caesar salad (I'm in love with Caesar, if you can't tell). Both were amazing! The Toco Hills location was super clean and efficient. I was doing a Doordash order(s) today around noon/one. I just want to say the level of disrespect I received was beyond me. I am assuming since I looked different I came off as incompetent or stupid ... The cashier/associate talked down when picking up the order as if I could not tell the difference between a C and T... I would give it a zero for customer service because on top of getting a lesson on my ABC's (as a senior in college) I was then ignored and the last to leave even after others came in mins after. After stopping herself to pack the orders she acknowledged two other gentlemen and gave them their orders with no hesitation. I have never in my life dealt with someone like this in customer service. Despite me doing Doordash it was uncalled for and an assumption on my level of knowledge as well as appearance. I left speechless because I was unaware of what was going on. I have visited the Cary location several times and was so happy to find out a location in Cameron Village had opened! I was able to pop in after my gym session on Saturday and was so happy to get my smoothie of choice, the Grounded! I think all will appreciate the quality of ingredients and selection of juices, smoothies, wellness shots and food. The location is great, parking is a breeze and zero guilt about food choices. I am giving this store a one star because of Fabiola's POOR customer service. My sister and I are from out of town and purchased 3 smoothies and a poke bowl. It was our first time visiting. My sister didn't like her smoothie so she asked to exchange it. Fabiola gave her such a hard time like she wanted to steal. She asked her for the other smoothie back as if she wanted to keep it during a pandemic. She started to lie about the stores policies of taking back food during a pandemic. She needs a lot of training! She started to speak Spanish like I didn't understand her. The young man at the front desk apologized for her. I come here all the time and literally get the same thing. Deluxe Açaí bowl. I know the cost etc. so a younger girl brings out the regular bowl. I informed her that isn't what I ordered. Then she basically tried to tell me what I ordered and paid for. I had to pull up my bank account to show the employee I paid for a deluxe which was a $2 difference. Then all they did was went to the back added toppings that were missing. I didn't feel like going back so I dealt with it. But This isn't okay because of allergens. What if I was allergic to the different ingredients between to the two? That could have been a serious problem. I'm still going to give this location a good review because I've never had issues until today but this needed to be known. I should never have to argue and go back and forth for what I paid for and then was told "oh we will fix it... you don't have to pay". GIRL I already paid for it ... no accountability was taken and I just wanted that to be known! Idk who was working on Sunday Oct 31st but they need to be held accountable. I love this location but I wasn't feeling the laziness and bad customer service today. I am miffed I just discovered this place! Kale Me Crazy is an excellent choice for satisfying any thirst or hunger pains in the healthiest way. My mom and I each got a smoothie. They came out perfect- not extra sweet like most everywhere else, real ingredients with an edge for health (like oats, avocado, matcha powder, chia seeds, maca to name a few), and very tasty. Both almond milk and coconut yogurt are some options for the folks who limit their dairy. The store also offers juices, tea, coffee, shots (think ginger turmeric and honey ahh!) and a range of grub that all sounded good and I'll definitely come back for: acai bowls, toasts (salmon toast oooooo!), salads, wraps (chicken pesto, anyone?), poke bowl, and light snacks for take away.
