It's been years, like pre-COVID, since we visited Grant Central. We were headed to the Earl for a Friday Night show, had planned to go to Argosy, but walked by and thought let's just grab some slices, quicker and cheaper. When ordering it looked like there was confusion in the food preparation area but whatever, the food is usually good. We ordered three slices, a salad and some drinks and took a seat. There was one large party and a few other tables with folks, and a handful of people waiting for take out orders. After 30 minutes of nothingness I asked the cashier about our food and she said they lost our order, the printer wasn't working, whatever, don't care. A bunch of other parties were getting their orders so we just got a refund, high-tailed it to The Argosy, and had a great pizza and some nice drinks, about 40 minutes total. We were late for the show. read more

We have lived in Grant Park for 27 years. The service and food are equally half assed the past several visits. Incorrect orders, pizza half baked, watery and inedible . How they are still in business is beyond me. This is my last visit. This is for the Grant Park Location. It is very sad that a place that's been around this long with such a history and great location cannot currently serve the community as it once did. read more

Horrible service!!!! People there were more interested in their BS music than us the customers!. I stayed there waiting for a pizza (that never came out) for 45 minutes, and they said "Ohh we are sorry, we can put it in now"! And of course they did not reimbursed me, they kept my money. read more

So I've been here a few times and just go for a pizza by the slice. It's pretty good. The pieces that they give you are really big and they come with a lot of toppings. The area may not look like all that, but from the number of times I have been, its fine... its safe. Typically you'll order and they'll bring the food to you if you decide to eat there. So keep that in mind. There's plenty of room and space to sit down and honestly I've never seen it packed. But I've only gone on certain times of the day so maybe that's why. But it's still a good and quick fix. Although there is a pizza spot right next door so that makes it kind of weird LOL. Either way it goes, if you just want a quick slice or two. This is not a bad option if you are in East Atlanta around that area. If you are expecting the most amazing pizza in the world, it probably won't be that lol, BUT it's pretty solid... and definitely worth a slice or two and I would definitely go back. read more

I ordered a Cardiac Arrest pizza (large). The pizza spot use to be one of my favorites. I had taste for it today and was very disappointed. The pizza had no taste, very little sauce. It looks as if I will not be visiting ever again, everything has changed. I suggest they add more sauce to the advanced made pizzas they have on standby to order. read more

Friendly staff, cool vibe, great tunes, clean!!! Stopped in for a quick lunch. Pizza is NY style but a bit chewier crust. Lots of topping options. They also have specials along with beer/hard ciders. Prices reasonable. Service very friendly. Place your order at the counter, get a number and they bring the food to your table. Stop by when you're in the neighborhood read more

Pizza by the slice was 30 minutes. Only one other table had been sit down eating. Frustrating when just wanting something quick while calling it a night. Why market by the slice if UberEats is even quicker? Looked pretty obvious third party orders are priority over sit down customers. read more

A diamond in the middle of graffiti. Any concerns with parking being scarce and the amount of spray paint adorning the local buildings all disappear with the first taste of the pizza in this Gem!! I went to grant central pizza on Sunday. I ordered a large vegetarian pizza with spinach and pineapple. The customer service was A+, and the pizza is by far the best I've had in Atlanta. The restaurant was clean and so was the restroom. My only complaint is the restaurant only has 3 parking spots in the lot behind the restaurant for customers; but street parking is allowed and in abundance on the side streets near the restaurant. read more

It was empty when we went yet it still took forever to get our food. It actually came out when bae was bout ready to leave. According to the waiter their priority was the orders over the phone. The pizza was good but if the person IN the establishment isnt considered Id rather not return just order delivery or pick up. read more

I've finally found New York Style pizza in Atlanta that tastes amazing! Zomg. Granted, we were out drinking all night in East Village, BUT! This thin crust, light tasty sauce and heavy cheese with billowy crust edges was EVERYTHING! Grant central pizza is such good pizza. A large is a really good size for a few friends and the pizza is always piping hot. TDLR: Sh-t pizza, sh-ttier service, don't waste your time or money. It's a cliché by now, but a fitting one: if I could give this place zero stars, I would immediately do so. Ordered a large pie for delivery with two topping and received a pie with one topping that was ordered and one that wasn't ordered-- a topping so far off the mark I had to check twice to make sure what I was seeing was real. When we called them back, they literally replied "What are we supposed to do about it?" Well, for as much as you charge for a large pie, make the right pizza, for starters. Avoid this "business" like the plague. Update: Pizza mediocrity aside, it's obvious from the owner response to this review that decent service is not a concern or priority of the owner or their staff. Caveat emptor. read more

Food was great, service was great and it's in a nice area of Glenwood. If you're looking for NY style pizza this is it.

Great Ny style pizza and my new favorite in town. The place is very laid back with ample seating in East atlanta. Cardiac arrest pizza was the best one amongst the ones we tried. The biggest drawback was we waited upwards of 40 minutes for our two slices on a Friday night. They had only two ppl working in the kitchen and there was not enough staff to bus the tables. It seems they had many to go orders. read more

Um location...yes! Scenery/ vibe...yes! Great pizza + realistic prices...yes and yes! Did I mention pitchers or beer, cool servers, and Sicilian style pizza? Don't worry salad lovers, their salads are the bomb as well! I've been here twice, but as it is a ritual for my ultimate frisbee team, I will be returning weekly, but even if that wasn't the case, my husband would catch me sneaking off for their pizza! The vibe is very much more casual and with lots of selections in East Atlanta Village, it always has a good crowd. Im thinking if anything, put it on your list for a bar hop snack. If you have a large group, they've got tables that can be out together to fit 20! What else, what else??? Oh yeah - this is one of two locations, but def a great vibe and place for all in EAV! Let me know if you want me to take you someone, basically I looooove this place! read more

I used to be a very faithful Fellini's girl, (yasss cheeeeeseeeee) but I live about a mile from EAV, so I decided to cheat and give a new place a try. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I've been here a number of times and every time, they hit the spot. I usually like to create my own and mix toppings- but I imagine the menu pizzas are probably hella good too. The crust is thin with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The outer crust is nice and crispy in the outside, but soft on the inside. Nothing too heavy. The vegetables have always been nice and fresh. They even offer artichokes as a topping!! In addition to pizza, they have pastas, lasagnas and cheesecakes that change every so often. I've tried 3 different cheesecakes and loved them all! You order at the counter and are given a sign with a card, and then someone brings your food to the table. Very simple, no fuss. This place gets BUSY, but even with a packed restaurant, I've never felt the wait was unreasonable. There is street parking in the front, but also parking in the back, as well as a another entrance. They have ample seating, including in front by the window (great for dates and people watching) a full floor of tables and a back deck where you can sit. They also have this section in the back that is FULL of posters for concerts and other happenings around the city. Clutch af! I love this place so so much and it is now one of my FAVORITE pizza spots. I eat here at lease once. Week no. Would definitely recommend! (Will also add that I like this location over the Grant Central Pizza & Pasta in Grant Park.) read more

This place has OK pizza. It's better than papa johns but nothing amazing- we go there because it's near the house and the ingredients seem somewhat fresh. . The problem is they often undercook pizza that has more than 3 toppings and the middle is always soggy. Then today we ordered 4 pizza. The people in front of us ordered three They got their pizza 15 minutes before us (to go orders) and we watched other folks come in and order and get theirs before us. Probably they forgot to make one of ours or something and that was the wait . There were some online orders being picked up so of course they could be done before us. I'm talking about folks who I watched order and get food first. They also gave us one wrong pizza. My kids were super disappointed. We tipped them 15 dollars and were nice despite the horrible service. Going to stick to little azio down the street. read more

Decent pizza. Disappointing customer service. Pizza places get busy on Friday nights, but that's no excuse to be patronizing or rude to customers. If you misspeak and say a customer's order is the "next one out" and it turns out it isn't, own your mistake. Most customers will understand that, but being dismissive, lying about what you said, attempting to demean your customer's intelligence, and then ultimately admitting it was your mistake, is not how to go about things. "I don't need your sass." Lol. I assure you, my sass was at a far lower level than yours. Cheese bread was cooked well and tasted pretty good. The pizza itself was slightly underdone due to it being pretty obviously rushed, but the flavors were there. read more

Inconsistent pizza I've never been to a place that had such distinct differences between who makes their pizza. Some days the dough is extra thin and uber crisp which is great! Another day the dough is just right and stingy on the tomato sauce then feels extra cheesy. Meh! Although I should point out who ever makes the extra thin pizza prob uses the same amount of tomato sauce so it's not noticed to be lacking. I hate saying this but Fellini's is prob still the standard for pizza by the slice in Atlanta. Change my mind! Please! read more

As a single gal who doesn't want to end up having to shop for dresses using tent sizes, I don't order up a calzone very often. Don't get me wrong -- I love calzones, and ideally, they should be a comforting, cheesy hug to your stomach, preferably sleeping-bag-sized. I had sampled Grant Central Pizza at a friend's house once or twice and thought it was just okay, but I'd never tried their calzone. After a particularly grueling day at work, I decided to swing by and I ordered up a spinach and mushroom calzone to go from the friendly girl behind the counter. The smell coming from the box on the drive home was maddeningly delicious. Parking myself on the couch, I flicked on the TV and dove in. To put it simply, it was glorious. The crispy exterior was perfectly seasoned and not too thick, enveloping the creamy riccotta and mozzeralla mix inside, flavored with a beautiful amount of garlic and seasoning. They didn't skimp on the mushrooms and spinach, either. While I planned to eat half of it for dinner and take the other half for lunch (it's HUGE), I ate the entire thing, dipping bites into the tasty tomato sauce served on the side. My inner fat kid squealed with delight. Do yourself (and your stomach) a favor and grab one of these calzones. Your tummy will thank you. read more

Went here with a group. Wasn't too sure about the location since we were unfamiliar with the area but it was great. We parked in a lot about 1/2 a block across the street from the joint and it was a very short walk. The place is very throwback. Very quirky and cute! Not a lot of updated anything. Go up to the counter, make your order (whole pie, slice, salad, pasta) get a number and they'll bring it to you. I would not say it's a true NY style (crust is not quite right) but it's very good, fresh and plentiful. Two of us ate most of a small pie (half cheese, half pepperoni and split a fresh salad). A couple across from us had pasta and said it was good too. For your leftovers, grab an empty pizza to-go box off the wall shelf yourself, pack it up and go! Overall it was fun, and for locals is probably a great place to go for a slice!! Funny thing, after eating there, we saw it in the new Netflix original series "Raising Dion" as a location. That was kinda cool. read more

The whole experience with Grant Central Pizza was terrible. We went to order for eat in at 6:11pm (this is important for later). After ordering we were never quoted a time for our food, this is also important for later. One person at our table got their pizza after about 15 minutes--totally reasonable. The other two at the table, myself included, were left waiting. When I went up ask about the food, the alleged "manager", Kaitlynn J, was extremely rude. She rudely told me she had said it would be 45 minutes when we ordered and it was right at the 45 minute mark. Except, you never quoted us a time when we ordered? And people that came in after us had already been served their food. So I didn't understand the attitude. It was then that I asked for my tip back--just $5.81 and maybe a crappy thing to do but I couldn't take the total lack of customer service. She then begrudgingly gave my money back (for the tip only, just to clarify), and we got our pizza about 10 minutes later--just three of the four slices though. When they finally brought the last slice of pizza, they brought it in a to go box, which is quite passive aggressive if you ask me. All was fine after that, we were eating our mediocre pizza and talking. When Kaitlynn J walked to the back to go outside to smoke a cigarette, however, she made eye contact with me and rolled her eyes. It was very mature of her. So I decided to see if there was someone I could talk to about it, and was informed by yet another rude employee, a man this time, that Kaitlynn was the manager. He then became defensive and said, "you came in at 7 pm on a Friday, your food was going to take a while". Actually, sir, if you want to be technical I came in at 6:11pm, and I'm not here to complain about the amount of time the food took. I'm here to talk about Kaitlynn's attitude. So then I asked if she was the owner, and he told me "I'm not giving you the owner's number". That's fine, sir, I didn't want his number. Just needed to know that Kaitlynn J wasn't the owner. And she's not. That would be Mr. Don Parmer. After that extremely rude conversation I went back to my table and informed my friends we were leaving. We passed Kaitlynn outside finishing her cigarette, and when we went to the car she went inside. She came back to the door after I assumed she went over to our table (without washing your hands after a cigarette, Kaitlynn, that's not very sanitary) and opened the back door, staring at us and patronizingly waving goodbye. Mr. Parmer, you're only as strong as your weakest employee. You had two bad apples on staff tonight. You had an article written about you in 2012 by the Daily Mail and an interview on Fox Atlanta when you put on your menu that parents needed to take their disruptive and crying children outside because customers complained their dining experiences were poor as a result. Well, what are customers to do when the establishment employees are the ones making the dining experience poor? read more
