Let me start with some positives:…read more 1) absolutely delicious and unique flavors with good ingredients. 2) the pizza is not nauseously greasy, and I might consider this "guilt-free" pizza. Okay now that I got the niceties out of the way, let's dig into some not-so-great attributes. 1) The portions (for the price) are laughable. I mean a 12" thin crust for $20 is wild, especially considering that the overhead for pizza is not high. I worked many years in pizza... I know a thing or two. $10 for 4 thin slices of cheese bread? Hmmmmm. 2) They should make it glaringly obvious that you are ordering what some consider a personal pizza and shouldn't be shared by any more than 2 adult humans. Or maybe that you're getting 4 measly sticks of cheese bread. You will most likely not have leftovers and I say this as a person who doesn't seek big portions. Outside of the toppings, it's not clear what exactly you are ordering unless you search through the separate FAQ on their website. Hmmmmm. 3) This pizza place is in the Underground which is just notoriously hard to navigate and lowkey dangerous depending on the time of day. There are minimal instructions on how to arrive. We live walking distance so I sent my husband. He said there were LOTS of umm... incapacitated people and notably angry solicitors (12AM, so expected). You might happen to stumble upon or into a fight to get pizza from here. I know that their rent can't be high... which makes the cost-to-portion of their products even more laughable. 4) Whatever their online system is seems to not be accurately calibrated, at least when we ordered. We ordered at 12AM and got a confirmation that said it'd be ready by 6PM... we had to call and confirm for ASAP, and the person who answered the phone was even more confused by that. She ended up calling back and we worked it out, but still. That level of hassle to order pizza of all things is clunky to say the least. Idk. I'm not convinced. The flavor was awesome but the other stuff makes this place hard to revisit. I'm sure they do good business from the surrounding clubs, which might also explain the absurd prices. Getchu some, but take caution.

When ordering it looked like there was confusion in the food preparation area but whatever, the food is usually good. We ordered three slices, a salad and some drinks and took a seat. There was one large party and a few other tables with folks, and a handful of people waiting for take out orders. After 30 minutes of nothingness I asked the cashier about our food and she said they lost our order, the printer wasn't working, whatever, don't care. A bunch of other parties were getting their orders so we just got a refund, high-tailed it to The Argosy, and had a great pizza and some nice drinks, about 40 minutes total. We were late for the show.

One thing to note: the prices on the printed menus were about a dollar lower than what I was actually charged, so it may be time for them to update the menus to match the current pricing. We ordered a whole cheese pie, and it was more than enough to feed two people. The crust had a nice chew, the sauce was well-balanced, and there was a good ratio of sauce to cheese without feeling overloaded. Personally, I would've liked a little more cheese, but that's simply my New York preference--not a flaw in the pizza itself. Overall, it satisfied the craving and reminded me of a classic neighborhood pizzeria back home. If you're looking for a solid New York-style pizza in the area, Vinny's is worth a try.

WE did not expect it to be inedibly, sickiningly SALTY. Both of us took bites we promptly spit out rather than swallow. WE phoned to warn them that something was dreadfully wrong with the sauce. The response was , "WE KNOW the Calabrian peppers are not just hot, but dreadfully salty." Friends, I don't care that VINNIES knows ... as a customer, I want to know that before choosing to waste my pizza dollar. The pizza was in our trash chute while still warm. We will think twice before ordering from Vinnies again.

Overpriced disappointing food!…read more This was the second time I got food from here. I tried to give Pielands a second chance after being disappointed the first time but it got even worse. I ordered food for delivery and it came 30 minutes late. It seems like my food wasn't made until the driver arrived to the restaurant. I got the limited time chicken, bacon, ranch pizza. It barely had any cheese or chicken on it. I didn't taste or see any ranch on it. The buffalo wings were soggy by the time I got them. Won't be coming back here. I paid $45 for bad food. I could've paid less than $20 for dominoes which would've tasted better.

I ordered the farmers market pizza to go. I called them to ask if it was possible to add garlic because on the website it says "No additional toppings". They checked and decided that request was an ok. I was disappointed that it was an additional $3.99 for fresh garlic yet I honestly couldn't find nor taste the garlic that much after biting into it, but such as it is. The pizza tasted very fresh with all of the veggies and there was a sweetness about it that complemented it very well. I'm not sure if it was the tomatoes that were sweet, but I did like the flavor. Unfortunately, the crust was a little overdone for my liking. I think this was just the luck of the draw. I'll try again next time and I'm not adding the charge of the sprinkles of garlic. I'll just put it on myself when I get home. Lol

I got the garlic and olive oil slice and it was pretty good. A little oil-e and I didn't realize it wasn't a tomato sauce based slice which I would have preferred. The desert pies do look good but you'd need to come with your crew to trie given the $18+ price. Otherwise, single slice deals (for size and quality) and pricing makes sense I think.
