The cafe itself though didn't really do it for me either - it felt incredibly dated, like I'd teleported back to the 1980's. Typically, I'd even think that was charming... but I didn't feel the charm in this cafe either. Tattered bar stools and a couple booths were available for seating. Besides my friend and I going together for my most recent visit, there was only a family of 4 ordering some donuts... but otherwise, the place was empty. Even then, service felt a bit disorganized. The two employees switched back and forth between who they were paying attention to, and even then the employee who ended up coming to the counter didn't remember what the order was she had just filled. Ultimately, I think Ridge Donut Cafe probably caters more to the folks who grew up in the area and have some nostalgia for it than anything else. As a newer customer, I've tried it a couple times and always walked away thinking it was just okay. Will I visit again? Probably not... I've done my due diligence in trying this cafe, and I just don't have those memories / that nostalgia for it that locals do.
