Nine years since I first reviewed Zweigles hots, and I'm back. Only now I live in Southeastern Arizona. I can tell you this, in the five years since I moved here, I haven't found a decent hot dog in this state. That's why I'm thrilled to be able to order Zweigles hots and other products through Calabrasella's NYstyledeli. They have been a REAL lifesaver. They sell and ship all Zweigles products as well as many other Rochester favorites. Hi so I grew up in Rochester which obviously means I also grew up on Zweigles hot dogs. I moved to Minnesota last year and the hot dogs here suck. Zweigles ships and it's wonderful and they also sometimes send fun hats along so you can look dope while you grill in your apartment courtyard. My boyfriend ordered all the franks so that we could make garbage plates with them and introduce all our friends here to the magic of Zweigles but honestly we don't have a lot of friends here and will probably end up eating all 8 packs of these on our own which, like, I won't complain about. read more

I want to fly like a Zweigle. A Zweigle of course is a hot dog, and one flies when it gets thrown at you. Down a hallway, perhaps. I don't like Z's as much as I like, for example, Sahlen's of Buffalo. But they're not far off. Most of the local hot dog places serve these and they're a Rochester institution. They should have 585 carved into every single casing. Either that or 666 if the employee working the shift is a devil worshipper. But that's not really Zweigle's fault. You have to take all the help you can get. However, their White Hots are so good that it makes the fact that I'm not crazy about a lot of their other meats, moot. Hey, meats and moot almost rhyme. Rochester is a "white hot" town with maybe 100 places serving hots and garbage plates and such. Most of those places serve hot dogs from this spot, so while they're not the best in the world, they are clearly deserving of the 5 stars. read more

My boyfriend's aunt flew in a few weeks ago, armed with frozen Zweigle's red hots. I must admit, I could not understand the hype of Zweigle's until I tried them last weekend. I am amazed and addicted! The skin has such a perfect crunch to them, and the sausage isn't salty (and surprisingly not hot at all for a spice wuss like myself). That being said, I've found I can only get them in Los Angeles if I order them online from Zweigle's themselves, and I will be soon stocking my freezer! If you haven't tried it, please do, they will not disappoint! PS they have a sale right now (for July)--24 pounds for $199.90. Not bad, considering overnight freight is always painful. I love Zweigles hot dogs. I've been suggesting relocating to Rochester to my husband and I keep introducing him to reasons why we should. Zweigles is on the list, along with Wegmans, which is where he can purchase Zweigles. For now I'll keep asking mom to deliver them to me in Ohio when she visits! read more

After going to RIT for 5 years, Zweigle's became a staple of my diet. Also, cooking up some white hots on the grill is quite possibly the best thing ever created by man. After moving to Virginia, I pleaded, and begged, and got signatures from people to get the local grocery to carry Zweigle's. Little to say, I'm going home tonight, popping a white hot on the grill, sauté peppers and onions, top with a pickle wedge and get to some good eats. Zweigle's, you complete me. read more

I've lived near Los Angeles all my life. When I was a kid a friend of my dads used to visit New York a couple times a year, and he would always come back with whitehots. Zweigles whitehots. They were so good, and I always wanted to get some, but I never go to New York. I was pleasantly surprised one day when I discovered that they could be ordered online, straight from zweigles! A couple years ago I had the first whitehots if eaten in over 25 years, and they were EXACTLY as I remembered them... The price is high to cold ship sausages from Rochester to Los Angeles, but it is a treat I look forward to. I need to order more... I'm all out :( read more

The absolute best hot dogs that you can find. I know live in Atlanta and always stock up when I return to Rochester. Nothing says "Summer" like having a few white hots off of the grill. Personally, I love the naturally casing ones that split open. Yum. I sure wish that there was a store that sold them in Atlanta. We have a local hot dog joint that uses Sahlens(Buffalo, NY) and cooks them over charcoal right in front of you. Good, but not Zweigles. read more

I always have Zweigle's White Hots in my luggage after visiting friends and family in Rochester, and they bring them out as offerings when they visit San Diego. The highest quality, best flavor, a real taste of home. The regular red hots and italian sausage are every bit as good, but the white hots are the unique regional specialty. Mustard, onions, sauerkraut, dress 'em up the way you like, they pop like a real sausage should from first bite to last! Having grown up in Rochester, NY, I had no idea how lucky I was. Zweigle white hots, sometimes known as porkers, are an institution there, and available at every Mom and Pop joint in town. Zweigle also makes red hots, but I much prefer the white variety. I understand that Zweigle makes a skinless version, but the pop-open variety is the original and my favorite. The thin casing pops as they are cooked, and add a nice little crunch when you bite into the dog. Anytime we have visitors from Rochester, we always ask that they bring us some white hots if they have room. They are available on line, but overnight shipping makes them cost prohibitive. read more

I have not been to the facility, but because of its nationwide reputation, a little bird whispered in my ear knowing that I have a obsession over hot dogs about Zweigle's. I am the type of person that will jump on a plane and spend a day in that city to try one of the best proclaim hot dogs in the nation. My review is strictly coming from the superior customer service given to me from their location at 651 Plymouth Avenue North, Tuesday, May 22 around 2:30 pm. It was either sales or shipping dept., Shannon? Well, I reside in South Florida and we looked at all the variables. Luckily, there is a former Rochester resident residing in West Palm Beach, so I was able to get my Zweigle's red and whites within meat sauce from him. It is very delicious! A big shout and cheer for the worker who demonstrated pride in the product and by being very persuasive through positivity. I love your product! I ate two sausage sandwiches at Rochester's Corn Hill Art Festival earlier this month. The things were awesome. They were so good I went back and asked the vendor if I can have the sign. Zweigles hots have been a part of my entire 44 years on this planet. As a kid, it was the reds. As an adult, I can't get myself away from the whites (pop open). I no longer punish myself by grilling only as many as we need, but instead always cook every hot I have available to me because they're so amazing to eat as leftovers the next day. I just had one for lunch an hour ago and I can't stop thinking about it. It was so flavorful I want another one. I'm a mustard guy so my prefence is mustard and onions, mustard and pickled jalapenos, mustard and relish (either sweet or dill) or the ultimate in white hot scrumptiousness........mustard, onions and hot sauce. You owe it to yourself to try these, and make sure you have some leftovers.
