The service was welcoming and helpful. They even do something that most don't do if you order an entree without the bun and provide utensils. We at outside and it was clean and quiet. The burger was decent. They even had fry sauce. Overall a nice place.

I have gone there now twice for work lunch. It's an ice cream shop but also serves burgers, pizza and other food items. I had the 1/2 pound burger and the macaroni salad. The burger was delicious but the macaroni salad was standard. I liked the burger because it seems like they make their own sauce or the combination was really good. The little aftertaste from hot sauce was also interesting. The complaints I have are that they do not have a restroom or fountain drinks.

The best ice cream spot in Wayne county. Your dollar goes a long way with the huge servings. I always order a kiddie and it's enough for 2 and a half servings of ice cream. The staff will happily give you a dish so you can take some home. Always packed and busy. My only complaint is they can use more seating options but overall very happy to support this wonderful business.

The hamburgers are like Smash Burger. They were excellent. We did lettuce wraps for GF. Decent prices. The ice cream is amazing. If you have allergies, ask to see their chart. They had blueberry pancake vegan, nut free, gf ice cream we were excited and honestly the best ice cream I have tasted that is VG and GF. Places to eat outside. The line can get long but man the workers in there work so hard..fast as they can go.

The employee working was SO sweet, told us what's great and popular since we were first timers and we went right before close. Refreshing to have such friendly service portions are INSANE. These are both kiddie kiddies. Very delicious, can't wait to go back for another treat after a bike ride on the canal!

Our party of 15 took up the whole place as we ordered from the grill hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. The hamburgers we huge. Many of us shared because they were so big. And the onion rings were good-not soggy or oily like sometimes you risk. If your really hungry get the trash plate. And for the ice cream. Lots of options. Wow the scoops are huge. We shared the cookie sandwich and that was fun!

Great service, awesome ice cream! Was a warm summer night so why not ice cream trip?! First Time here and we will be back for sure! CASH ONLY and the serving are huge! I ordered a 1/2 kiddie and it was a medium size. My husband and son shared the banana split boat (platter) wow!

Excellent white hot dog, French fries, and ice cream. Bacon cheeseburger ok, chicken fingers had good crispy batter but not the best texture - although it was real chicken. Ice cream comes in both soft serve and scoop. The soft serve small is about four scoops of ice cream

Don't go here! They don't enforce mask mandate. These photos are from august 12th 830 pm. Shame on this business for putting customers at risk.

If you've got a hankering to venture out Route 31, you'll find an excellent Burger & Ice Cream Stand nestled in the heart of Palymra. Great food, and humongous helpings of ice cream make for a experience... I've heard that the lines get tres long in the summer, especially during Hill Cumorah. Still, worth a stop! Last time I was there I talked to folks who'd driven up from Ithaca to pay the Chill N'Grill a visit!

This was your quintessential roadside dive. The wait was unbelievable, but given the time of year and events happening in town, it was to be expected. When you are really hungry though, the wait only seems longer. The tables/outdoor area were filthy and it wasn't particularly clean inside the establishment either. The girl bringing the food out seemed to be in a particularly foul mood. "Out of my way! Coming through!" sort of attitude. I understand it's busy but that's not a reason to be disrespectful to the people who just bought food from you. We ordered two burgers, a side of fries and two kiddie size ice creams. The burgers weren't anything special, but we devoured them because we were hungry when we arrived and famished by the time we ordered and got our food. The plate of fries was very large and since my wife is from Idaho, the fry sauce was a happy surprise. The ice cream size was unreal. We found out later we could have ordered half a kiddie size and probably would have, had we known. More ice cream is nothing to complain about, just know that you will get what a normal ice cream place would call a medium or large. Overall, it was fine, but I'd suggest just getting ice cream here and eat dinner some place else.

"Strawberry shortcake" Don't recommend not unless you like dinner biscuits with your ice cream and strawberries

Best ice cream there is, and huge servings. Ask for a "kiddie" or even a "1/2 kiddie" if you want a normal serving.

They only have celery no carrots on the side. The bbq boneless chicken bites were delicious! Next day visited again. Got the soup and salad. Both pizzas were average. Nothing to write home about, but good enough to eat. The gf crust was cardboard-like and crunchy, but we were so happy it was available. I'd order it again. Shannon was our server & she was excellent! Loved the separation of dining room & bar area, and loved that the music was playing but not loud. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing, but the front-of-house needs some serious help. We began with the fried pickle chips, which were amazing--served piping hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The kitchen is remarkably quick, too; almost immediately after our appetizers arrived, the staff was already at our table taking main course orders. For my entree, I ordered the chicken tenders and fries basket. The tenders were perfectly golden and incredibly crispy, served with a generous mountain of fresh crinkle-cut fries. I'd rate the tenders a solid 3.5/5--my only minor critique is that they could be a bit more generous with the dipping sauce for a portion that size. My dad also ordered a beer, which was poured beautifully with a nice head. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience completely dragged the meal down with some glaring cleanliness and professionalism issues. I found a long hair wrapped right around the lemon wedge in my iced tea. To make matters worse, I watched the staff member pouring drinks rub her mouth right at the drink station before handling other beverages. Meanwhile, the lady behind the counter was completely disengaged, literally just scrolling on her phone instead of focusing on the dining room. The overall neglect was obvious if you looked around. Hanging directly above our dining table was a vintage wall thermometer covered in a heavy, flaking buildup of rust and grime--definitely not what you want hanging over your food. Even the bathroom was neglected, with trash and used paper towels left on the floor. If you are strictly judging by the kitchen's output, the food tastes fantastic and comes out incredibly fast. However, management desperately needs to invest in a deep clean and have a serious huddle with the staff regarding basic front-of-house hygiene.

It also includes 2 strips of bacon, a piece of ham, and a sausage patty. Sounds delicious, but the home fries are not from home, they are likely frozen, and they were way overdone. I couldn't even get my fork into many, and they were so bland. I doused them in ketchup and the "awesome sauce" on the table. No help. The pepper and onions were largely absent.. They were so finely diced, and also overcooked, it was easy to miss. Sausage, bacon, and ham were VERY crispy and a little burnt, but they were still tasty. The eggs were spot on. It came with meat sauce or sausage gravy. Both were very rich. I passed on my meat sauce (too much allspice and/or nutmeg for me). Husband ate his gravy. He said it was sausage forward, with little gravy, but definitely scratch made and good. Full points for that. Coffee was ok, nothing great, a little weak. Now, I will give them credit as we came in at the end of breakfast. So maybe that was it. We got what they had left. The staff was great! I decided to keep going and find another restaurant when a couple miles down the road there it was!!! I was actually excited when we pulled in. We sat at the counter and my wife and I both ordered the cheeseburger garbage plates with everything but relish and I have to say this was one of my top 10 meals! IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I had a milkshake with my plate and it was awesome too. We were so happy with the food the server brought the owner and his wife out to meet us. Great folks! They told me this place almost became a Dollar General before they took it over!!! What a waste of a wonderful tradition for the people in that area. We do a lot of what we call "cheeseburger rides" on the motorcycles with friends and I have no idea why it took so long to get back to this place... I would make a long story short but its too late to do that. We are looking forward to returning here with my son (who was with me 35 years ago) and friends often. So, as a loyal customer of greater than 50 years--- I will no longer go back. It is not that good anymore.
