I was excited to come in for some ice cream with family after seeing this shop for a while on Yelp and Facebook, but was very underwhelmed. I noticed that some of the ice cream seemed like it had been in the tubs for a while and not very fresh. I picked the one that looked the best which was the black cherry. I really enjoyed my ice cream's flavor, but it had little ice chips in it which I did not enjoy and could not tell from its appearance. I also found that all of the tables inside were sticky, which I thought was not great considering we were only one of two families in the store. We also were there pretty early in the afternoon, so it made me wonder if they had not been cleaned from the night before? We did clean off a table and sit to enjoy our ice cream though. I also found it weird how the prices for their chocolates were not displayed anywhere in the store. We had to flag down the one poor worker who was in the back to ask about chocolate prices. Overall, not the best experience and probably will not come back anytime in the future.

Our go to ice cream place in Fairport. Homemade unique flavors & your standard go to's also. Staff is so welcoming & remembers us when we go in. Flavors made in house are clearly marked. They also have chocolates, drinks, shakes, & many other treats we have yet to try. Would love to see free samples of flavors before getting a whole dish or cone of it. Sizes & prices are reasonable in today's economy.

***4.5 Stars*** Nice ice cream spot in the heart of Fairport. At least 20 flavors to choose from. They also have other treats like chocolates, rice crispy treats and other sweets. My daughter loved the strawberry sorbet and blueberry ice cream. It's nice that they have non-dairy options. It's located right alongside the Fairport Canal with plenty of seating inside and also outside by the water. It's a good atmosphere to watch the boats on a warm sunny day. Lots of parking in an adjacent covered parking garage (Fairport library).

Moonlight creamery = best ice cream? I think I may have found my new favorite ice cream flavor: Moonlight Creamery's butterbeer. I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan, but I love butterscotch, and the flavor was soooo good. They have a wide selection of unique flavors, as well chocolates! They all sound so good, and I'm excited to try more in the future. However, even though I rate the ice cream so highly, I was so disappointed by the waffle cone that I'm knocking a star off. I love waffle cones, and a good waffle cone can really elevate an ice cream place. This waffle cone was very underwhelming and I actually avoided eating most of the cone. I will definitely be back to try their chocolates, more ice cream, and their drinking chocolates! LOVE their ice cream, but I'll opt for a dish rather than a cone.

Girl Scout Mint Cookies, walking the canal and eating ice cream. A delightful evening.

Fantastic shop! I stopped in for a cone and then took a walk along the canal and it was the perfect choice. The staff was friendly and the ice cream delicious. I got the Girl Scout Mint flavor! Amazing.

The ice cream is delicious and mostly homemade. We got the "itty bitty" size and it was definitely bigger than expected..not kiddy size. It was $5 for this smallest size, but since the ice cream is homemade, I think it's worth it. The server was very friendly and pleasant despite there being a long line. Inside is your typical ice cream shop, just a tad more upscale. They also serve different caffeinated drinks and wine! We will definitely be visiting again! The

Have been twice nice and it's a fun and funky 90s cafe vibe. Super fun and different flavors, absolutely delicious and it's hard to choose! Both times I've been there's only one person working, so it's a little slow but so worth it!

It was 25 degrees the day we went and I felt it was balmy enough to enjoy some ice cream. First of all, hard to beat this location, even with the bridge closed right now. Stunning view of the canal, gorgeous grassy area with plenty of space to enjoy your treat day or night. Very magical and transportative, even on a 25 degree evening. They have a lot of flavors and cute novelties in the case, which are super tempting. I went with cookie dough ice cream (my go to!) in a dish. My date went with espresso (or coffee maybe?) with waffle cone bits and chocolate sprinks. Mine was absolutely fab. I loved the creaminess, ratio of dough to ice cream to chips, and the fact that they use CHIPS instead of CHUNKS. Big distinction. His ice cream was just not great? I know that's not super helpful. It just tasted a bit bitter and lacked the warmth you sometimes get in a coffee ice cream. To me, neither held a candle to some of the other homemade ice cream spots in town. I'll be back for the pretty scenery and anytime I am looking for a good dessert option in Fairport!

Batteroo and To Sow My Wild Oats

Homemade ice cream and so many unique flavors. We got the batteroo (peanut butter and brownie pieces with cake batter ice cream) and the to sow my wild oats (brown sugar ice cream with oats). They both were good but I wouldn't get the oats again-- they were a weird texture for me but will be going back to try different flavors! Atmosphere is great as well... right on the canal.

Best ice cream in Fairport. It's right next to a small park with a nice outside sitting area overlooking the Erie Canal.

First time with another couple who had been before. I had read many of the reviews here and Trip…read moreAdvisor which also included old location vs new location. Six o'clock reservation on a saturday walked right in and got seated. It is a bit cavernous (older brick building which used to be home to American Can Co). Was not cramped with well spaced tables and not overly loud, did not notice any music playing and was not crowded with a few open tables. Menus were printed on the paper table placings (front/back) which probably came about because of Covid and a great idea. Found serving sizes ample and food well cooked and seasoned. Hugh plate of egg plant parm, two rib bone in pork chop cooked to perfection, beef short rib, "The Bear" (off the bone, they also had a short rib special on the bone this night), 4th entree was a pasta dish (gnocchi?). Did not have drinks other than water and a couple of beers so can not review wines or mixed drinks. Only reason for 4 stars is the parking is horrible on location so save yourself the time and park right across the street at the municiipal free parking.

We got a selection of appetizers and they were all good: Brussels sprouts, meatballs and calamari. I opted for the veal parm which was a generous serving with pasta. One of my companions opted for a pizza which looked delicious. I opted for the "nonna's mule" as my drink and it was refreshing. It's always nice to be surprised by good Italian food because I don't always want to cook it myself!
