My daughter likes to come here for a treat followed by playing in the playground across the street and walking by the water. Lots of flavors to choose from and generous portions. $6 gets you two large scoops in their "small" size. It's enough for both my 2.5 year old and me. Friendly staff and some seating outside makes for a good time.

Good portion sizes. Many flavors. So many options. Shakes, sundaes, etc. etc. Lines can get very long, and parking can be difficult. Staff is friendly and works as fast as they can to serve the masses. Beautiful scenery as it is right on the lake. If looking for quicker service and less lines, try the location in Farmington. Just as great!

I visited the Finger Lakes with my fiancé and stopped at this ice cream place while in the area. It's conveniently located near Canandaigua lake and close to downtown. We got chocolate chip cookie dough and Cinnabon ice cream in a kiddie cup. They said the kiddie cup size is only one scoop, but we both thought that it was filling. The ice cream overall was good and it was nice being able to bring it over to eat by the lake. I would recommend coming here!

Cute ice cream spot really close to the water! They serve Perry's ice cream flavors and soft serve. The soft serve portions were very generous. They take credit cards! And there's a large free parking lot very close by.

When I was little, I used to walk by the Niagara River with my grandfather and my cousin, eating our dripping ice cream cones as the world passed by. One of my ice cream flavors of choice was the Perry's White Lightning, deep dark chocolate ice cream with bolts of peppermint shooting through it. One day, my old favorite ice cream place scooped its last scoop of White Lightning, and never replaced it. For years, I thought that flavor was but a memory, sailing gently down the stream... No one told me that it just headed up the river to Scoops near Canandaigua Lake (don't quote me on that geography)! Flash forward to my new favorite ice cream place, and imagine my surprise when I discovered a fresh bucket of White Lightning, a bigger waterfront for strolling, and chairs that look like ice cream cones!! Scoops is adorable and old fashioned, but the flavors are anything but! Every special and exciting Perry's flavor is on the menu (Speculoos cookie, anyone? Lemoncello? If you're me, you try both for an adventurous flavor combination). Plunk down on one of their chairs and pretend you are an ice cream scoop atop a waffle cone...or walk just across lakeshore drive to Kershaw Park for an instant lakeview. This place takes cash only, so be prepared. They also offer doggie sundaes for $4.50, so everyone can enjoy the walk by the Lake.

Scoops is a timeless Canandaigua staple. I've been visiting for years. My mom first brought us here many years back when we'd splash around at the beach on Canandaigua Lake. My brother, sister, and I knew a visit to scoops was destined after a long day in the sun. And today that tradition still stands. Anytime I'm in the area, nowadays it's after a hike in Naples, I'll make a pit stop here. My mom always got the lemon sorbet, I couldn't resist the cookie dough or the Panda Paws with the mini peanut butter cups, my siblings would go for cotton candy or caramel praline turtle. No matter what the flavors were out of this world because it's Perry's Ice Cream and that's the best. Yeah, I said it. It's an order at the counter spot and cash only. They have a few ice cream cone shaped seats if you want to sit, but I recommend eating your come as you walk along the lakeshore.

Cute place with only outdoor ice cream themed seating. Large servings. Tons of flavors. Didn't have soft serve so can't speak to that.

I didn't want her to end up disappointed in what she ordered so I called Abbott's and asked if they let you try the flavors, and they said yes. So off we went! It was completely empty when we got there, which was nice. The girl at the counter was such a saint. So patient with my 6 year old. She let my daughter try as many flavors as she wanted, and then ended up letting her get a cup full of the gummy bear topping because there was nothing else that she liked. It probably took us at least 20 minutes to figure out our order, and she didn't seem impatient or annoyed about it in the least. Great customer service! I ordered a small chocolate with peanut butter sauce and peanut butter cups. She scooped it into a large cup so it didn't melt all over itself, and filled it to the brim with toppings. It was delicious! (I wish I had remembered to get a picture of that. Next time!) We ended up walking our treats across the street and eating them at a picnic table by the lake. My ONLY complaint about Abbott's really is that I wish they had more flavors! But they make their ice cream in house, so they get brownie points for that. And the topping selection is top tier!

This location is conveniently located across from the lake. It is a great spot for families and…read morekids to enjoy a sweet treat. Parking is available on the street and there are tables outside for guests. This is an average Abbott's location. It can get fairly busy, but if you enter at just the right time, there can be little to no line. Everything appeared to be clean and the ice cream was typical Abbott's. Customer service is sorely lacking and interaction was borderline uncomfortable. Location is everything here. Grab your frozen custard and head to the lake for some fun!

We were seated in the middle of the crowded dining room around 1:30 that thinned out quite a bit during our brunch. Without a reservation you can't complain but we got bumped into a few times so it didn't make for a very relaxing experience. Our waitress was not very good. For the french toast she asked if I wanted a small or big stack. I didn't have glasses on or I might've noticed on the menu short=1, full=2. Using the same terminology or explaining would've been very helpful because when only one piece of toast arrived from my shorter "stack" I was very surprised. The mimosas were in small flute glasses which is way overpriced for the size. My husband's coffee was meant to have refills but we had to flag her down for that. She didn't actually bring us anything either, other wait staff brought the drinks and then the meals. The food was good, the ambience if you have the right seat is nice too. At the hostess station we overheard a phone call with someone requesting to be by the fireplace and now I see why. Will not return to this location when we're in town on a getaway this summer but might try the one in Pittsford or Penfield.

Having made reservations for 7:30pm, we arrived early and waited for our table to be ready. We made a note in our reservation for a booth on the fireplace side, and the woman (host) worked hard to make sure that happened. After sitting down, we placed in a couple appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delightful. The bacon, crispy and the scallops incredibly tender. Served with a side of drawn butter, but these were delicious on their own. As for the loaded potato puffs, we received a generous number of puffs, and each one was also very tasty. The sriracha ranch sour cream was the cherry on top. For mains, we opted in for the prime rib, and Delmonico "cowboy" cut. The prime rim was incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with a phenomenal au jus, this is the best prime rib I've ever had. I can confidently say that about the Delmonico steak as well. This 20 oz. center-cut, bone-in was grilled to the perfect requested medium-rare. Seasoned perfectly, tender and juicy. Although I didn't care much for the gorgonzola cheese sauce, the steak was amazing. We also ordered a side of lobster tail. This was also incredibly tender and really brought the meals together. To end all things, we ordered their creme brulee served in a chocolate shell. This was a great dessert, although I would have preferred the custard to be firmer, and less chocolate sauce overall. I found the generous amount of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the plate, and on top of the creme brulee, on top of the chocolate shell they're served in to be over the top. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this dessert. I want to point out, all the staff members including the owner was very kind and welcoming. From the initial host to our server Lauren, to her boss who came around to ask us how everything was, the staff are very hospitable. Add in a warm and cozy dining room area with a fireplace, this is easily a 10/10 experience for us. We will make it a point to revisit more often and not years in between.

Even up to a couple days before the event, they were very accommodating when a couple people dropped out of the dinner. Nolan's set us up in one of their beautiful back rooms to put on our event. They were also nice enough to put up a picture up on the tv for our dinner that read "Eli and Sam's rehearsal dinner". The staff were also very accommodating allowing our guests to go out to the bar to order alcoholic drinks, seeing we went with just the water and soda package. There was a little mix-up at the start of dinner, with the food sitting out for a little bit, and us having to ask if we could start. As for food, we choose the Caesar salad, roasted vegetables, penne pasta with red sauce, chicken Parmesan, and steak with a chimichurri sauce. The salad was well dressed and the lettuce had a great crunch to it. The roasted vegetables were cooked just right, and had a good variety of vegetable to it. The pasta was absolutely delicious, with melted cheese and ricotta spots on top. The pasta also had the perfect amount of sauce on it. The chicken parmesan was nice and crispy with some melty cheese on top. Now on to the star of the show, the steak with the chimichurri sauce on it. The steak was cooked perfectly with a texture that melted in your mouth. The sauce was good and not too potent as chimichurri can sometimes be. I think I went back for thirds of this steak... yes it was that good. The staff were very attentive and switched out the food as it was getting low. As for desert, Nolan's was amazing and special ordered lemon blueberry cheesecake for us. This cake was to die for. The wonderful lemon flavor, with the cold tartness of the blueberry with each bite, and the nice crispy crust... what I would do to have a piece at this moment. All of our guests raved for days about how nice the restaurant was and how GOOD the food was. We are so happy we chose Nolan's to put on this event, and we will keep coming back.
