This is a cool little shop. It's very old school and reminds me of something from the 1950s. Inside is pretty small near the counter where you order the food. They have both pizzas and donuts so there's a lot to take in. There's a bunch of choices and they vary from many of the pics so try to be prepared. My favorite were the jelly donuts (both strawberry and red raspberry) and the apple fritter! The white cream donuts barely had any cream inside and didn't have much flavor. But seriously, I ordered 2 dozen donuts for my 2 and 4 year olds birthday party and everyone LOVED them. I drove to the Culver location from Chili, I walked in and I had three customers ahead of me, and that cleared out but the folks behind the counter didn't acknowledge my presence, it took about another 4 to 5 minutes before I was acknowledged, so I would call that poor service. read more

I have been hearing about this place since I moved to Rochester. Finally, my BF and I decided to stop by. We ordered the cannoli donut, Old fashioned and 2 breakfast bakery items. The cannoli donuts were way too sweet and didn't taste fresh. Cannoli filling is not supposed to be that sweet. I was hoping it was going to be real cannoli filling. The old fashioned would have been perfect if it was not glazed. I think the employee agreed with me because when I ordered it, she warned me it was glazed and asked me if I still wanted it. I should have picked up on that little hint....so my bad on that. The other items we took home and microwaved them. They were like a small round pastry with sham and Swiss with hollandaise sauce baked into them. Like a cross between a croissant and a pizza. It was tasty. It's really nice to have a place like this between North Winton Village and Empire Blvd area. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Parking and tables are available for dining in. This place offers a nice collection of donuts but they're not limited to that. I be come out from Syracuse lots of times this is my second time here. They pizza doesn't have a traditional crust. Which is ok it's really tasty. I have been a huge Donut Delite supporter since they opened within Salvatore's. I have ordered many trays as well as brought the family for dine-in service. My last two orders had issues. My last delivery order wasn't delivered at 8am like requested. I had to call to remind them it was needed. Donuts arrived at 11am. After that, I decided to do pick-up orders, but then we had missing specialty donuts. At that point, we decided diners-in is the only way to go. My visit last weekend was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was very dirty at 9am. Food under the table, sticky tables, wet menu (there was a child slopping dirty water on them which I assume he was tasked with "cleaning" them), and floating food particles in my glass of ice. We needed to call the server over a few times to request service. Eventually someone who I assume was a manager came over to clear the table and then eventually to give us our bill. It's also disappointing that classics like flying saucers and the Sesame Street donuts are no longer available. These are classics that my college kids always look forward to having due to the nostalgia factor. While I am keeping a couple of stars just for the quality of the donuts, I'm not sure when we will be returning. If the front of the house is filthy, I can't imagine the kitchen. read more

First, food was very good. My over easy eggs were cooked just right! Service was very slow once we put in our order -- over 30 mins for an omelet and 3 eggs. We were told there was a fire emergency in the kitchen that held up our order. Meanwhile, people who'd come in long after us were getting their food. I can understand an emergency situation but updates would have been good to hear and even if our order had been burned up on the cooktop, our replacements should have come out that much faster. I couldn't believe how rude she was! There was a better way to say it! I then got back in line even though I had already ordered and paid. In my opinion, there should be a place where you can walk up and grab and go. Otherwise, what the sense in it? So, I got back in line and waited. I gave my name and the girl was gone for a while. So I'd always liked this place as their breakfasts were super. You don't get the little potato wedges everywhere, and they fry them crunchy... so yum. I also don't really like to write negatives, but I really hope the owner sees this and thinks about this... The service here since they opened the new ridge location has gone downhill... It seemed that all the seasoned staff went to the new location and we stopped frequenting as it was easily taking 45 minutes for two breakfast orders. This past weekend I really wanted those potatoes and their omelettes were always excellent, so we said we would give it another go... It was a new low. They had a full four people running around the dining room (which is small), and yet none of them were properly trained for it. It was close to ten minutes before our waitress came for our drink order. At this point we were ready to order but she wasn't; she didn't have a notepad and wasn't ready for the order. When she came with the drinks, she was still not ready... So it was a good 24 minutes after being seated before we got our order in. We watched two other tables leave during this time, and I should have taken it as a sign. But I really wanted those potatoes. Now I will say that the food came pretty quickly, but I know why... first I noticed no potatoes. I asked where were the potatoes and was told they were out of home fries. Would have been good to mention while ordering; I asked her for an order of tots which she did get quickly. Second, all the fillings weren't properly chopped for breakfast... maybe for a pizza, but onions and peppers at 1cm square are too big and the tomatoes were whole slices. Third, with the water from the tomatoes the eggs were snotty and not completely cooked all the way through to the point that the omelette was leaking. Finally, the cheese was only put on half the omelette, and to add insult to injury... it was luke warm at best. I don't blame the girls entirely because while they should recognize some things, the lack of proper structure and training is evident. I will also point out that there was one staff member that looked overworked and frazzled... so I assume she was clearing up the messes from the girls haphazard attempts. I feel bad for her and hope she can get some help. So... in closing, we're not coming here again unless something massively changes. read more

I remember this place 50 years ago! When I was a kid I use to work on a milk truck and we stopped here for our morning break. Great memories. And this legendary place still lives on. I stopped by for a coffee and snack the other day while doing some city photo work. I must admit the prices have changed since I was first went here, but times have changed, going back 50 years. LOL. It's a clean, well organized coffee shop, (and now pizza shop also) with a variety of donuts, pastry,and pizza now. Good coffee!!! The employees are great people also. Wow, massive disappointment! Came in all the way from Buffalo home of Plaua's donuts and was expecting similar quality. Didn't get it at all! There where so many donuts listed on the website. Fun flavors like maple bacon, red velvet and pink swirl. The only donuts at the place where boring at typical. Got a few anyway to taste. Pb and J donut was very cute on top however, the raspberry on the inside was overpowering and tart. The donut also left hands a sticky mess. 1/5. The Boston cream had good dough and frosting but the cream tasted of peppermint pepto. 100% gross. 2/5. Overall so disappointed. Wow. Glad friends in Brighton told us about this place. Had to stop on the way back to Buffalo (even though it was the other direction). Loved the dough of the banana cream donut ( and the cream too -- only thing that would have made it better would have been chopped up banana in the cream).
