It was a nice warm night so they had the doors open and everybody pretty much was sitting outside. They have a lot of tables outside - some on the patio and a whole bunch out on the lawn. It's a very family friendly place, with games to play out on the lawn for the kids and adults. They have a decent menu of sandwiches burgers and the usual appetizers/starters. I wasn't that hungry so believe it or not. I ordered off of the kids menu! The burgers were huge. They were double patties and I didn't think I needed that. So I ordered the chicken strips/chicken fingers which came with their potato differs, which are like thin potato wedges. You had your choice of sauces so I got barbecue and lime Crema. Both were really good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and could only eat part of it because it was huge too. It also came with the potato dippers. She liked what she had of it! So there is a farm that is part of Blue Barn Cidery and they just harvest it a whole bunch of blueberries so they are selling blueberry confections in their gift shop. When you first walk in you walk right through the gift shop which sells honey and candles and T-shirts, etc. They have a whole bunch of choices of cider, but I'm more of a beer guy so I got my favorite, which is Other Half Green City IPA. My wife hasn't been drinking, but she absolutely loves root beer and they have Saranac root beer there so she was happy. It was a very relaxing place to have some dinner and a drink and listen to some music outside. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back.

The exit pathway leading back to the main road is incredibly narrow and lined with massive, heavy rocks. It is completely obvious the owners put them there to keep people off the grass, but they have essentially turned the exit road into a tight obstacle course. To make matters worse, there is zero lighting illuminating these boulders. If you are leaving after dark, they are practically invisible. We hit one of these rocks a couple of years ago with a brand-new truck. Even moving slowly, it resulted in a very expensive body shop repair. We returned yesterday on October 4th, and it was a complete nightmare. The parking lot was packed, and it was bumper-to-bumper trucks and cars trying to squeeze out. It was so chaotic and frustrating that we didn't even end up staying. Our passengers had to watch the side mirrors aggressively just to make sure we didn't scrape the rocks, and my daughter driving behind us said we barely cleared one. It is incredibly upsetting to spend a couple hundred dollars to eat and drink with your family, only to face an expensive vehicle repair on the way out. If you are going to line a narrow driveway with truck-damaging boulders to protect your lawn, you absolutely must install proper roadway lighting so drivers can see them at night. If you drive a large vehicle, be warned: take a smaller car or avoid this place when it's busy."

Adam and I came here this year to go apple picking and we were very happy this is where we picked…read more It was very easy to get to here and when we got in to the entrance there was a list of the apples ready for picking. They ask you which apples you would like to pick and then tell you how to get to those apples. They also give you some heavy duty bags to place your apples in during picking. There is no real parking lot but you can park your car in front of the area that you would like to pick from. We picked gala and janagold apples. There was a large amount available and they were all delicious. We picked a full bag of each kind and all of the apples lasted awhile so I was able to do a large amount of apple baking. When you are finished you drive to the front, all of the apples are weighed and you can pay and be on your way. You must pop your trunk for the weighers whether apples are in there or not so you might as well just keep all of your apples in the trunk. The apples are also fairly cheap. Like I said, we got 2 full bags and paid under $20.00. So much cheaper and tastier than getting them from the grocery store. Overall, we will certainly be back. I can't wait to pick other fruits they have growing there.
