Nice hometown bakery right on Main Street in Bergen. Very cute inside and small tables to seat down. There baked goods are amazing and always fresh. They serve lunch and also make fresh breads. Note: if you are looking for something special call ahead as when I went there about noon pretty much everything baked goods was wiped out.

Chocolate chip cookie and raspberry turnover... yumm!

A gem of a bakery in the small village of Bergen! If your heading out to Rochester it is definitely worth the stop! In fact it's not too far from the Bergen exit on the 490 so if you are passing by do yourself a favor and get one of their delicious sweet treats! From scones, to muffins, to cookies, to pies, to pastries, coffeecakes, brownies, and turnovers, they have something for everyone! They even have treats for your furry friends! They have cakes and cupcakes for any and all events you may be planning. They also have bread and lunch. I have tried quite a variety of their sweet treats but my favorite by far is the turnovers. You really can't go wrong with any of them, but the apple turnovers are so flaky and stuffed just right, they really melt in your mouth. If your in the area, or really if you just need to get away for a day, head out to Bergen and enjoy this amazing little place!

Shop small...when I find myself in a small town, I try to find local shops, especially bakery shops! Greg'ry's is a throwback to days when Blakey's served their wares along with coffee and light food. Greg'ry's is such a place. There were so many locals going in, I decided I better try it, so I did! Oh, decisions, decisions. I opted for a lemon turnover. It was a generous portion with a flaky crust and flavorful filling. You won't find this at Wegman's. (Don't try eating it in the car, either, when I say flakey crust, I'm not kidding!) The staff was wearing green t-shirts with a logo that seemed familiar somehow (insert giggling smiley here) as it is a little piece of home. Milwaukee Iron is now also part of a small-town bakery. (It was created with permission, too, so don't ask.) There are two chances of me ever returning to Bergen, and Slim is on a diet. Just the same, Greg'ry's will long remain in my memory!

There isn't much in the little town of Bergen: a pizza shop, a bar, and Greg'ry's. If you live within driving distance, I'd highly recommend a visit! The bakery looks like it was built in an empty space between two existing brick buildings - done in such a way that they put up a wall at the front and the back of the two buildings in order to connect them, and left the outer brick walls of the adjacent buildings as the interior side walls. It's quaint. It's homey. It's really cute! When I first walked in, I thought, "Oh, they don't have much display room." It's a lot more than it seems at first glance! Lots of pies, cookies, scones, and breads. They also serve sandwiches and lattes. The staff is friendly, and I heard them call more than one customer by name while I was sitting there, so it seems they have a pretty regular base of customers. I stopped in for a pastry for dessert, but can't wait to go back and try their sandwiches!

Awesome small-town bakery in Bergen, NY! Greg'ry's has been a staple in this tiny downtown strip for over 30 years. When you walk in, the pastry case is brimming with alluring baked goods: crumb muffins, pies, fruit & cream cheese mini loafs, pretty cupcakes, cookies, eclairs, and cream puffs. There are stacks of homemade bread on shelves. There is a small breakfast menu listed on a chalkboard. I ordered an apple crumb muffin and a coffee (self-serve from their coffee station). I also picked up a loaf of their whole wheat sandwich bread and a giant eclair to go. There are several small tables sit at. While I enjoyed my treat, a few women were bustling around the kitchen preparing orders and baking; Greg'ry's does a great catering business. Several patrons that appeared to be regulars were in and out. And one other gentleman sat and ate a breakfast sandwich, and said it was amazing-- next time! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole wheat bread for toast and sandwiches throughout the week. Greg'ry's is totally worth a stop if you're passing through. It's only a minute away from the 490 Bergen exit. I will consider using them for future holidays when I need rolls or baked goods!

    Greg'ry's Huge Molasses cookie. Yum!

I can't say enough good things about their baked goods. A 40 mile round trip is not even a slight inconvenience for these delicious Molasses cookies. Molasses are my favorite and I never get them because they never taste good to me. Thank you Greg'ry's for doing them right. The breads are fantastic and their pies are excellent.

I was greeted at the door by the bestest boy/doggo named Teddy and someone who I assumed was one of the owners. The shop is very cute, lots of gnomes, rubber ducks, and fun quotes showcasing the owners' sense of humor. The owner was actually very helpful and gave me tips on how to best enjoy my baked goods. I got ten items for a very reasonable price! Sweet roll: one of their popular items. A roll with warm sugar and cinnamon on the inside and gooey frosting on top, but I can see why they don't advertise it as a cinnamon roll. It doesn't smack you in the face with that cinnamon flavor, but has all the other good parts of the roll. Blueberry muffin: not too sweet and chock full of blueberries and streusel topping! Turnovers: I wasn't a fan of the icing sugar topping, but the puff pastry was light and flaky. I'm sure if I was home and was able to pop it in the oven it would have been amazing! Cupcakes: this was a surprising gem for me. I generally find cupcakes and their frosting to be too sweet, but the actual cake was light on the sugar and balanced well with the buttercream. The cake felt a little dry, but my cupcake was chocolate flavored and sometimes that has an innate dryness to it. I looked online, and they actually have a crazy amount of cool flavors! I would love to come back to try more flavors. All in all, a very pleasant experience, if you're in Corfu you should definitely stop by :)

Between the two of us, we ended up ordering an iced latte, a molasses cookie, a peanut butter brownie and a chocolate almond pretzel pastry. The iced latte had a goodix of milk and espresso. The molasses cookie was perfectly soft yet chewy and had a great molasses flavor along with ginger and cinnamon. The peanut butter brownie was chewy and had a good amount of peanut butter buttercream frosting topping it. I ate the chocolate almond pretzel pastry at a later time and heated it in the air fryer for a few minutes. It was flaky, buttery and flavorful. I would definitely recommend Buttercrumbs & will return if I'm in the area.

We collectively tried the olive ciabatta, three kinds of croissants, a flatbread, an epi bread, and maybe a couple of other things I am forgetting. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I love the vibe of the place, I love the logo they stamp on their bags, I love that they threw in an extra pastry because we bought so much on that last day, and I love the location just across from the river. (First-time visitors should note that you enter the bakery from the back of the building that faces Water St.) Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from my partner's 14-year-old son, who gave the almond croissant a 10/10. When I asked him to rate the almond croissant that he loves from a bakery local to us, he gave it an 8.5/10. Follow-up questioning revealed that the chocolate croissants from the two bakeries merited a 9.5 and 8, respectively. Oh, and if you call earlier in the day they will hold things for you if you won't be able to make it in until later in the day.

Both were great and would happily eat either again! The chooclate croissant had a soft chocolate filling as opposed to a harder chocolate. I liked the bostock better but both were yummy. A small hole in the wall by a river. We ate our pastries on a swing across the river. Everyone in the area is super friendly. Good vibes and good pastries.
