Box with some leftover churro and chocolate churro segments
    Sara M.

It was just ok but we were already pretty full so maybe better for a quick snack stop. There were lots of teen I side and seemed to just there for snacks. We had just had Hot Pinot next door. You have to buy a box of three so we let a group decision drive the choices. Not the greatest plan actually. They do split up into little ball chunks but the flavors were bland. The raspberry was sweet and not very "berry" the churro not very "cinnamon" but the chocolate churro the most realistic. I liked the rice flower dough but some of the others did not. I have not seen one of these shops before so maybe elsewhere it would do better. I'd love to have been able to try one more flavor but you can't buy just one. Sad actually. The carton for 3 is cute but a lot of empty space.

My friends and I stopped by Mochinut this past Saturday after lunch because we wanted something sweet. We got the 3 MOCHI DONUTS for 10.00 and we chose Lotus Biscoff, Ube with fruity pebbles and pineapple. The texture of the donuts were a bit stale, but still relatively bouncy. However, the flavors of ube and pineapple weren't good. If you blindfolded me and fed be the ube, I wouldn't know I'm eating ube. The pineapple was way too sweet, so i didn't enjoy it. The Lotus Biscoff was fine, but not exceptional. Overall, nice to see that there's Mochinut in Ann Arbor, but the quality from this past visit was subpar.

I stumbled into Mochinut looking for a quick boba fix and ended up staying for hours--and not just because of the drinks! The space is huge and spotless, perfect for cracking open the laptop and pretending to be productive (I was productive... mostly). The boba? Chef's kiss. And don't get me started on the mochi donuts--crispy, chewy little circles of joy. The staff were super friendly and gave great recs (shoutout to the one who insisted I try the churro donut--you were right). I'll definitely be back. Might just move in, honestly.

Updating my thoughts on Mochinut after a few visits. Still love the product, but I wish there was more flexibility in ordering. You can't just order one donut; it has to be an order of 3 minimum. This is often a roadblock in me justifying a small sweet treat. Also sadly their space always looks like a tornado passed through. Tables aren't clean, there's trash all over the floors, and the staff doesn't seem to care much - even if there's a lull in customers. So I'd recommend getting your order to go. I'd give them more like a 3.5 or 3.75 because I am still a #1 fan of the hot Cheetos corn dog - it just isn't worth 5 stars anymore overall.

Obsessed! The cheese/corn dogs are huge, but SO good! The mochinut donuts are delicious- highly suggest getting an assorted box to try. Also- love the ramen wall! Great vibes, friendly service and over all must try in the area.

Super tasty and unique doughnuts! Love the fun shape and the texture of the mochi dough is outstanding. Light and fluffy yet chewy. We went in around 8pm (about an hour before close) on a Thursday and they were down to just a few remaining, so selection at that time wasn't the best. However, very happy with what we got. Also tried to get 2 and learned they only sell in quantities of 3, 6, or 12. So ended up getting 3, and there were exactly 3 flavors left so tried one of each. My fave was the Blueberry, followed by Cookies & Cream, then the White Chocolate. Very tasty! Would be nice to have an option to just get 3 if you're feeling like a little sweet treat just for yourself. The set of 3 is packaged in a nice little box. The sets would make a nice option for gifting and sharing.

Service was quick, sitting area big. Donuts made well and the coffee was really good. Boba could've been sweeter

Located where qdoba on Plymouth rd used to be. Inside is odd shape if you come from parking lot in back have to walk quite a ways to get to the front counter. The selections of mochinut change when we were there we tried to cookies in cream 1 milk chocolate, 1 strawberry, 1 matcha, 1 chocolate churro, a total of 6 for $18. Definitely not cheap, however they are quite good highly recommend the ones with frosting over sprinkles or sugar. Definitely less oil when compared to a regular doughnut. If you have tried mochi ice cream imagine if the outside of the mochi ice cream was balled into a doughnut that is the texture of the mochi doughnut. My favorite was the Ube bubble tea the flavor was outstanding almost like, I was drinking a halo halo. Interesting how they make the bubble tea in a soda can, not sure I like it anymore than how they package traditional bubble tea but it works.

I was so excited to try after opening! Once the initial crowd died down, we came to check it out. There is plenty of seating and chill music playing. To order, you use the electronic quiosk. We didn't have any interaction with employees. We ordered a 6 pack of donuts ($18), 2 hot dogs, and two drinks. The total came out about $40. At the end of check out, there is an auto-added tip that was a little sneaky, so keep an eye out for that. I got the mango lemonade with popping boba. It was really good, but next time I would probably only do the drink, sans boba because the combo was just way too sweet. Unfortunately you don't get to pick the sweetness level. The hot dog was the star. I got a potato dog with half mozzarella. It was awesome! I've just tried one of the donuts we ordered so far. I went with the cookies and cream for my first pick and it was so good!

I love that a Mochinut has finally made its way to Ann Arbor. The donuts are chewy like mochi and fun to twist off. The hot dogs are also really big. I like to get the potato mozzarella ones - savory and cheesy. However, note that you can only be 3 donuts at a time for $10 which is a little bit overpriced in my opinion.

I like Mochinut and have been to other locations. I think I only like the glazed ones though at this point. The flavors are not always great. I did not like the coffee glaze. The others were ok. The quality of the donuts was good. The inside is nice and has a lot of seating. The music was a little too loud. Overall, it was ok.

For all the donut connoisseurs, this place should go on your list! These donuts are so soft they melt in your mouth! Cute storefront with seating inside. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny if you're treating yourself

We tried this place because of the hype. We had the potato and hot Cheetos dogs. The potato dog was better than the Cheetos. Mind you it is highly recommended. We also tried the green apple lemonade which was sour at first but very good and we also tried the Ube. Both were very delicious. Price point was good. We didn't try any doughnuts because we came later in the day and they only had 3 flavors. We wanted to try the ones they didn't have. So we will visit back again.

It was a snowy afternoon so the customer volume was likely lower than usual at the shops of The Courtyard in Ann Arbor. The suite had a bright orange awning and about ten tables of various sizes for seating. Several power outlets were available along one wall for students to plug in their electronics and hang out because this business was across from a large college campus. Two self-service kiosks were at the counter where you could place an order. A menu board was hanging on the wall to the left for quick reference. Just drinks were served here as no food was offered. The categories were milk tea, fruit tea, slush, chocolate, yakult, macchiato, fresh milk, and tea. Six recommended choices with photos were listed at the top of the board. I selected the second one which was the Tropical Special. This drink was from the fruit tea category which was likely where I would have made a selection anyway. Passionfruit green tea with pearls and coconut jelly were the ingredients. I requested light ice and normal sweetness. The tea flavor wasn't strong, and the pearls were chewy and clumped together on the bottom of the cup. The jelly was extra filler that added more texture. The price was at least two dollars less than what I would have paid for a similar product at one of my local haunts. I gave a 3.5 star rating for my experience at CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice.

When I walked in, it seemed pretty bare but I like that there was spaced out seating. Other than that, the ambience is definitely lacking. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it was... not a Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee is meant to have a strong flavor and have a rich but subtle sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk. What I got was poor quality black coffee with too much sweet creamer. I checked out the ramen bar just to see what it was but it was also lacking. There were many options and I didn't see any toppings of any kind (I'm think they were refrigerated but it would have been nice to have them displayed in a fridge next to the area; maybe it was and I missed it).. I can also tell they are attempting to go for a third space type of vibe with board games and things but the space they have created isn't inviting enough to uphold that environment. As far as the service goes, he was very kind and patient which goes a long way. I asked him if he could just add a little more coffee so it wasn't as sweet and he said that he could just remake it for me and that he wanted me to enjoy my drink. It was far above what I expected and I really respect that. The drink was again, not very good because it just wasn't Vietnamese coffee, but the service was very thoughtful. I just didn't feel right asking him to make a whole other drink I would like because I didn't like the one I had (I'm not a Karen lol). I'm sure other fruity drinks or the dalgona coffee is better that what I had and I just happened to choose poorly off the menu, but I do strongly believe businesses shouldn't just add popular drinks to their menu to bring people in but focus strongly on what they are good at. It's always better to have a small menu of well curated and crafted drinks than a large menu of drink with some of them not quite perfected. With that being said, I probably won't be back but I hope they can find what they are best at, hone in on it, and grow a lot! I see huge potential in this store being quite popular if they make a few changes. Best wishes to them!
