Oreo Milk Tea with coffee jelly - A large, clear plastic cup with a logo and partial text is held by a person inside a vehicle. The drink appears to be a milk tea or similar beverage with a light, creamy color. The person's hand and part of their sleeve are visible, and the background shows a street with parked cars and a road with yellow lines. The cup is the main focus of the image.

This place is kinda awesome. It replaced the old bubble island that used to be here pre-covid but it is a great revamp of the same thing! I am reviewing this after my second visit, my first visit was a little chaotic due to them forgetting part of my order (check your bags guys) but they gave me a free mochi waffle with the flavor of my choice to make up for it, so it solved the problem. Although they forgot part of my order, the service is streamlined, fast, and very accurate. They use an app called snack pass which is actually iconic because not only does it give you all the deals for various restaurants but they have a countdown timer for your order and it will actually be ready. All of the snacks I've tried so far have been a hit and I've probably only got half of the menu: Korean hot dog, curly fries, waffle fries, pork & chicken gyoza, egg bubble waffle, oreo mochi waffle, and popcorn chicken! You can tell the food isn't made in a microwave and makes for tasty snacks. The bubbly tea is great as always and I will definitely visit in the future.

Place: This place used to be called bubble island but it changed Quickly! Whoa I was excited about the menu! Service: The service was good! They take your order and call your number after. Food/price: They have this mochi waffles and different types of boba. I got the grapefruit boba and it was really good! The price is your typical boba price around $5. They also have popcorn chicken which were good! Audience: Great for friends! Recommend/tips? I recommend this place and plan to go back again!

My experience here was such a bummer which is sad because I was so excited to try it and the bubble teas are AWESOME. But the rest just didn't hit the mark. I placed an order for pick up via Snackpass--I had gotten two bubble teas, a chocolate mochi waffle, and an coconut egg waffle. As I was driving there I got a notification that my order would be delayed by an additional 10 minutes. No big. I'd just hang out in my car until then. I parked out front and waited until It came time so I stepped in but I didn't see my order anywhere. So I waited. And I waited. And I saw them attending to other walk in guests and folks there after me were leaving. And my order was still nowhere to be found. I saw my chocolate waffle sitting lonely on the rack but nothing else. I finally asked them and they had to look around for my order slip. I totally got lost in the shuffle. Ok, again. No big deal. It happens and we're in the middle of a pandemic so I do my best to be understanding. I just continued to wait. I had another order of takeout dinner in my car that I was beginning to worry about (I was treating my husband and I to a nice meal and dessert after a particularly rough week) but other than that I was fine with waiting. Finally, 20 minutes after I walked in and nearly 50 minutes after placing my order I walked out with my drinks and desserts. Unfortunately, when I got home and unpacked, I found a completely mangled egg waffle and a chocolate waffle that was missing a full quarter of it. The good news is that it tasted awesome. The sad news is that after all the frustration of waiting I unpacked it to find some sorry looking treats. I just felt like someone burst my balloon and I had paid for that balloon and waited for it. Any one of those things alone I would have just shrugged but everything together just equaled a pretty disappointing experience. The teas were delicious and, as I mentioned, the desserts did taste good. I just think they need to do a little better paying attention to the details.

Quickly is one of the OGs in the boba game. I was drinking Quickly as a kid almost 3 decades ago now, but I quickly moved on (no pun intended) when other tea shops/brands offered more premium offerings in California. But I'm now an adult/self-proclaimed seasoned boba drinker (what's the boba MT version of a sommelier? a bobalier? haha) & I'm now in Michigan (obviously). I've seen Quickly outposts in other parts of MI (i.e. Troy), but they've officially jumped into the saturated A2 market as of this week; the grand opening was 1/13. They're having grand opening special all week (1/13 - 1/27). but what also drew me in was their mochi waffles as posted on IG. The power of social media y'all. I found that offering a bit more unique and i'm here for it. I went for a non-milk tea because I was getting a mochi waffle. What's the logic? None, ha. But I did order a milk tea for my partner so I was able to sample his. I thought it was fine - the boba left a little bit to be desired though! I was stoked to see they have Aloe Vera as a topping here! Not every boba spot in A2 does. As for the mochi waffle, I want to come back for this ALL DAY EVERYDAY. What is a mochi waffle? Basically like a waffle you make at home BUT they add mochi in it for fantastic texture. They have various flavors available but I just ordered original.

Am I in high school again? Going to Quickly in 2021 is such a nostalgia MOMENT! Only the real ones know how iconic this chain was for California teens in the early-mid 2000s. They were all over the Bay Area and we'd always go after school for their popcorn chicken and drinks. So color me shocked when I saw that a Quickly had set up shop in Bubble Island's location (RIP Bubble Island - I may not miss your basically all syrup drinks but you truly crawled so that these amazing Ann Arbor boba shops could fly and flourish. A true pioneer for boba in these, up until recently, uncharted waters). Anyway, so of course I had to check it out if just for nostalgia's sake! I opted for a jasmine milk tea with 30 percent sugar and it was everything I hoped it would be: a nice but not overpowering sweetness, jasmine flavor shining through, great creaminess and of course perfectly done boba! There are tons of options for toppings but I like to keep it simple. Unfortunately, we decided to get Quickly after already ordering dinner so as much as I wanted to I couldn't partake in the popcorn chicken or delicious mochi waffles. So I will definitely be back! Service was great and it was pretty convenient walking in and ordering on the kiosk. It was a bit busy so be mindful of that for social distancing. Glad to welcome this OG fave to Ann Arbor!

Decided to give this chain a try. In my opinion, there are better boba places in Ann Arbor. Drink was decent, I got the honey dew tea with green tea and it had good honey dew flavor to it. The food is why 3/5 stars. The "Taiwanese" popcorn chicken tasted like your average chicken nugget and the taro egg puff (bubble waffle) didn't have any noticeable taro flavor and it was very floppy and did not hold shape. It was quite dense and overall very chewy. Not sure if they used mochi mix to make it or if that's just how they make their bubble waffles, but I prefer the traditional crisp on the outside and fluffy, hollow inside.

The image depicts the interior of Quickly Bubble Shop in Ann Arbor, featuring a ceiling with recessed lighting and a ventilation vent. The storefront has large glass windows and doors, with signage and decorative drawings on the window, including the shop's name and illustrations. A poster advertising popcorn chicken is visible near the entrance. The setting appears to be a small, indoor space with natural light coming through the windows, and the overall atmosphere is casual and inviting.

We are Quickly fans for their big buckets of tea, we go to several different locations to get their food and drinks. This was our first time at this location. We were day tripping around the Ann Arbor area and wanted to get the kids a drink before we headed to a tasting room for the adults. They had their typical huge menu which included a lot of food. Several items were sold out like the green apple slush, but that's okay. They people working here were nice and helpful as always. What I did not like was the awkward space, it was like the corner of an office building, and the lack of bathrooms. Since we had been walking around we wanted to wash our hands before handling the drinks (we used the sanitizer). But also, if you get food and drinks here and need the restroom, it's odd for a restaurant not to offer the customers a bathroom. They said the closest was Pete's Pinball down the street. I typically eat at the Troy/ Rochester location, but I would prefer a place with a sink before having chicken and waffles. So I would probably get a drink here again but not order food.

I love coming here every time I come downtown! This place has a wide variety of flavors to try and the combinations are endless! Outside of boba, they also offer a small amount of quick bites to eat. You can order at the front station or on the tablet to cut down on wait times. The cafe itself is relatively small, so I would stick to smaller groups if you're planning to come and hang out for a bit.

Insane portion! Ordered the size large and the cups are huge!! Perfect for a nice hot day during the summer. I've been to their cafes in Ann Arbor and Troy. I really enjoy their drinks. Not overly sweet. Definitely hit the spot!!

Easier ordering at the kiosk. Fast and friendly service. My son said his boba was great. The chicken had great flavor. Biggest downside- no bathrooms.

Day of visit: 4th of July '22 Love this place. Staff is always friendly, and boba is always on point along with those yummy sugared donuts. Saw a team member help a guest with Gluten concerns and she made sure to get her the correct information on what she can order. Bravo team member! That's going the extra mile. Didn't get her name but she had braids, African American, super friendly. Always a lovely visit.

Wonderful new (as of Jan. 2021) bubble tea place on campus! I ordered at the kiosk but they have counter service as well. My order was ready in the amount of time they gave and was delicious! Their stuffed waffles are incredible and their bubble tea drinks are huge! I always cut my sweetness to at least half at Boba places; they gave me an option for 30% sweetness and it was still incredibly sweet! (Yum!) Boba (the tapioca bubbles) do not come standard though, so pay attention when you're ordering! Definitely a must try out if you're in the area. I will return!

I visited quickly a few times, each time I went with high hopes of a great experience. They really drew me in with their great marketing ads on Instagram, but unfortunately, I was left underwhelmed each time. My bubble tea was great, so on my next trip I decided to place an order ahead online and ordered some food. When it was time for pick up my order was incorrect, they missed a few items and I was not impressed with the food I received.

Giant bubble tea!

I am new to the Ann Arbor area and coming from Southern California so I have a baseline of really…read moregood Chinese food. This was not it. I should have listened to the average rating. The host was responsive. The food came out of the kitchen incredibly fast. It had that hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant feel. But that's about it. That's the 2 stars. The hot and sour soup got the taste balance and broth right but the ingredients were a disappointment, too much tofu, too much egg, not enough wood ear and/or black mushrooms, scandalously few shredded bamboo shoots (which also clearly came from a can). The wok hei for the mu shu pork was not good; too greasy and again, the ingredients were really inadequate (way too many onions, zero cabbage, scant protein). The hoisin sauce clearly came out of a bottle (way too sweet and flat) and here's the death blow - thick flour tortillas, not those thin Mandarin pancakes. I mean, the thinness of the pancake is the whole point - it is NOT a "Chinese burrito" (a phrase that is an insult to burritos, mind you). The last dish was ma po tofu. For me, a good ma po tofu is all about flavor balance - do you understand between straight up heat from the chili and the numbing of Sichuan peppercorns? They do not understand, this was so overwhelmingly peppercorn that it seemed pretty apparent that someone just equated "hot" with peppercorn and then added chili oil. Again, scant protein. I usually give a place a couple tries because anyone can have an off day. I won't be back. This is a kitchen quality problem, not an off day.
