This Sharetea location always seems to packed, but they have a good workflow and pickup is very easy. Drinks come out fast, even with multiple parties ahead of you. I got one drink for this visit: Classic Pearl Black Milk Tea, Less Ice, Half Sweet ($6.20) - This drink comes with boba so you don't need to add it as a topping. The drink itself is average; they use pre-brewed black tea that isn't high quality and has no fragrance. They mix in a lot of non-dairy creamer, which gives body to the drink. Half sweet was fine for this drink. The boba is quite hard and tough, harder than other Sharetea locations I've been to and not a texture that I enjoy overly much. In larger metros with more boba shops, Sharetea is usually around mid-tier. The one here is no different. read more

My mom had broken her arm falling on some black ice and my nerves were fried from worrying and shuttling her between home, the ER, the pharmacy, etc. Driving home after this very long day I decided to treat myself to a bubble tea. I pulled out my phone and checked the Snackpass app to place an order for quick pick up somewhere. I had seen rave reviews about Sharetea here on Yelp so I landed on that for my order. I got my standard, the black milk tea with pearl boba, 50% sweet, and light ice, and a Thai tea with pearl bob, 50% sweet and light ice for my husband. Ordering and paying online was a snap and, since downtown is so quiet these days, I was able to snag a spot right in front. I popped in and saw my order ready on the counter. Grabbed them and left. Very easy! And the teas? DELICIOUS. My husband absolutely adored his and mine was one of the best I've had in a long time. It's understandable why this is a 5 star joint, for sure. The Ann Arbor boba scene has officially become difficult to keep up with! But I am all for it!! I'm super familiar with ShareTea from back home (Bay Area) but I was still excited to try it here in Ann Arbor I ordered an Oolong Milk Tea with boba at 30% sweetness on their kiosk. Services was very fast and friendly and the staff were great about safety and social distancing. The space is really nice and I can definitely see myself lounging here with some milk tea and a book or board game in normal times. The milk tea was delicious and the boba was really good. There are so many new boba places in Ann Arbor now, which I am ABSOLUTELY LIVING FOR, & this is the latest one in the one block radius around Nickels Arcade! Sharetea probably has the most prime location because they're located right on State Street, but as of right now, after having tried only one drink, I would rank this below Tea Ninja and Ding Tea, but above Chatime. The online ordering was a bit confusing when you walk in and causes quite a bit of congestion near the front of the store, but I'll definitely be back to sample other parts of their menu soon! read more

I've tried their milk tea with 50% sweet with both pearl and lychee jelly. In terms of the sweetness at 50%, stick with the pearl as this is what I wanted in terms of sweetness - it was perfect. If you do get lychee jelly, get your sugar level at light 30% as the syrup from the jelly will sweet things up. Outside of the milktea, I would recommend their mojitos. I have tried all four and my two recommendations will be the strawberry and peach version. Too bad that it's non-alcoholics... but get it to go and add some rum when you get home!! Welcome to Tree Town, Sharetea!! The most exciting part of their offerings is that they have mini boba. What's the big fuss about mini boba? 99% of boba shops do NOT offer it; I don't know if it's complexity in supply chain or what. For instance, another boba franchise in MI used to have it, but corporate made a decision to cut it so I couldn't find mini boba in MI until NOW!! Anyways, mini boba is slightly larger than tapioca pudding tapioca, but smaller than regular boba/pearls. If you've never had boba, it's a good intro to it! Even though I'm a seasoned boba consumer, I always get mini when I can. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea, which can only be reduced to 80% sugar so it was a bit sweet for me but the mini boba more than made up for it. After I had already ordered, I saw that they have oolong MT, so I'll try that next time! read more

Place: This place is fairly new and great place to grab a boba drink while you are hanging out in state st. I would say this is my favorite place to grab boba on central campus (Trust me there are lot of boba places nearby so this is my go-to). Service: The service is good. They have online ordering at the store which makes it easier. They open to answer any questions for first timers as well. Food/price: The interesting part is that they seem to have only one size which is like a large and they give a lot of toppings. There's a lot of variety and the price is around $5+. Honestly worth your bucks because the it is pretty good boba. I usually go with the basic and try the milk tea with three toppings: pearls, yellow pudding, and grass jelly. Ok so I'm a California native and I got so excited to see that Sharetea is so close to me now! Minus 1 star because parking was a nightmare on a Sunday afternoon, but apparently that is normal on this side of town lol . I got my usual signature Hokkaido milk tea plus egg pudding less sugar light ice. I will say, I might have been spoiled with the best milk tea back home in the Bay Area but sharetea is by far one of my favorites due to the consistency even across the country. I've been to the one in Windsor as well, drinks made almost identical I think this is important as a franchise. I can't believe there's actually a sharetea here! Sharetea used to be one of my go to boba shops in San Francisco and this boba shop really brings back some memories! I didn't even kno this place existed but I saw when I was on a quick trip downtown recently. I realize evenings are generally busy downtown Ann Arbor, esp Thursday thru the weekend, but honestly I was a bit bothered by the amount of ppl inside the small establishment. I went to pick up my drink, which was an Okinawa milk tea With mini pearls, which I love! It's a little sweeter than I like,, but you can have it sweetened like 20% less than the original and that seemed pretty good. The drink was amazing-and I loved it, however back to the amount of ppl in the establishment. Do you think you could inform the employees to follow guidelines set by Gov Whitmere? It's just a suggestion but having more than what is appropriate for this pandemic could get a lot of ppl ill. Then you'd possibly have to shut down which would be awful since you just opened. It's only been a few weeks and safe to say, I'm already obsessed with this place. So far I've tried the Mango & Passion Fruit Tea, the Okinawa, and taro pearl milk tea, and the Okinawa. My favorite by far is the Okinawa-that tea flavor is unbeatable! The taro tasted a bit too creamy for my preference, and the classic milk tea has a much milder flavor than Okinawa. If this Sharetea starts offering medium sized drinks, I would probably be here every day. My only minor issue is that today they got my order wrong (drink had ice when the receipt specified no ice). This is probably my go-to boba place in Ann Arbor. The teas and tapiocas are good, ideal sweetness it at 30%, and the drinks stay mostly consistent. More specifically, the regular milk tea has about 80% consistency (there are some times when it is quite diluted), and the jasmine green milk tea has about 95% consistency. I'm someone who loves having quite a bit of ice in my drink, and Sharetea is actually quite inconsistent with ice quantity - sometimes there is a lot, sometimes there is hardly any. That is rather nit picky but overall, it's a good place :) There's also free wifi to do work and quite a bit of seating as a hangout spot. read more

My favorite thing about ShareTea, and the thing that sets it apart from the multitude of other bubble tea places in the area, is the unique drinks it offers, including the ones blended with ice cream and the (virgin) mojitos. They can be picked up or delivered, which is fantastic when you don't want to leave the house in the middle of a pandemic. I highly recommend ordering online even if you're just picking up because otherwise you could end up waiting for a while. I visited today after finding out from a club email that the opening promotion was still running and I had a great experience! My friend ordered ahead using Snackpass and I went to pick up our drinks. There was a tiny mix-up (we ordered four drinks, but there were only two in our pick-up bag) but as soon as we asked about it, they immediately checked for us and said they would make it ASAP. It turns out that it was mistakenly packaged in another bag for a customer who had the same first name. The drink I got was great! I got classic black milk tea with mini pearls and I was super happy. I really like mini pearls, but it's super hard to find in Michigan, so I was ecstatic to hear they would have them. Honestly, I can't really tell the difference between the teas of the different bubble tea shops in Ann Arbor, so I would definitely come to Sharetea when I'm craving mini pearls (which is always). However, I am a little bit concerned about how the safety guidelines are enforced. When I first arrived, I saw that the inside was basically packed--the tables were all full and groups were at tables right next to each other. Luckily, everyone was wearing masks and a couple of minutes after I arrived, two large groups left. However, it still worries me a little, especially because social distancing between groups in the relatively small space is difficult. I think that when the pandemic is over Sharetea will be a great place to get a coffee shop vibe, but it felt a little unsafe for this time. Still, I know it's still the first week of opening, so I hope that in the future it will be more socially distanced. I will definitely come again to pick up an online order! read more

Having been to Sharetea locations in both Vancouver and Toronto, I had high expectations upon the opening of the new Ann Arbor location. Upon my first visit, the owner and the employees there were very welcoming and amiable. The interior design is very modern, attractive, and comforting. I ordered a Classic Oolong Milk Tea and it was the highest quality bubble tea in terms of taste that I've had during my time in Ann Arbor. Personally thought my bubble tea was less sweet than other places where I normally stick with the standard sugar level.
