Dishonest ripped me off and charged over $600. Everyday when using my computer I get upset at mobile kangaroo for installing an old hard drive. Not comparable with any of the programs I was using before it crashed. They lied and wouldn't refund my money. They were Recommed by an apple supervisor. Go figure. read more

I just got done with my second repair at Mobile Kangaroo in Monterey and I had to leave a review. Both times I worked with Oscar and he was so incredibly helpful and kind. My MAC has been acting up and after going to the Apple store and waiting crazy times- I decided to go with Mobile Kangaroo (through the Apple website). Oscar explained everything thoroughly to me and was so friendly. Any and all questions were answered and he made extra sure that I backed up my data before I left my Mac in their hands. All repairs were explained and I was able to understand exactly what the issue was and how they planned to fix it. I love that. I am so glad I made the choice to come here. Turn around was SO FAST and they are so communicative. If it matters they are also bilingual which is awesome. 10/10 would recommend Oscar at Mobile Kangaroo for any MacBook Pro issues! read more

I dropped my Mac off for a broken screen. Here are some of the NEGATIVES from my experience: * they lost my MacBook * they overcharged me, and undercharged someone else, due to them losing my MacBook. This was the result of them mixing up the serial numbers * HANDED ME someone else's MacBook (Yuri Suzuki, if you're reading this, they tried to give me your stuff) when I had just told them my name 1 minute before * did not bother to tell me they lost my MacBook, I had to PRY that information out of them. Totally unprofessional * "offered me" the chance to either 1) drive back 2 days later to ACTUALLY pickup my device when they FOUND it, or 2) I could pick it up and take it somewhere else. I honestly felt super disrespected at the "offer," as that is what I received AFTER them messing up my entire order and driving 1.5 hours to their store. Totally shocking and unprofessional * lost my charger and case, only to deny losing my charger and case, which turned out to be in the back of their shop when I insisted they had it (after minutes of denying they had it) * IGNORED my emails (thanks "Joseph") when I tried to reach their management. Management hides behind a "info@mobilekangaroo" email. It would be 100x more helpful to have someone's name or number. * employees had 0 professionalism. When "greeted" at the door, I wasn't acknowledged with anything besides, "Do you have an appointment?" (hello, good morning to you, too!) * when I was emailed to pick my device up, their email told me the store opened at 9:30, when in reality it opened at 10, which resulted in more wasted time. Just speaks to their overall disorganization I feel. So in sum, come to Mobile Kangaroo if you like 1) wasting time 2) disorganization 3) unprofessional customer service. I was referred to this company by Apple, and as such, believed they would be a reputable business. After my experience, I will be contacting Apple (since Mobile Kangaroo ignored me) to inform them there must be other companies to endorse. I'm honestly amazed this place is in business. I would not recommend them to a single soul on this earth, unless you like a lot of wasted time, disorganization, and unprofessional employees. My only reason for writing this review to help others avoid such a HORRIBLE experience. It was literally like pulling teeth every step of the way. In all honesty, I cannot think of one positive from my experience. From drop off to pickup, it was 3+ weeks of incompetence. Save yourself the time and money. There cannot be any place worse than this. Do not be like me and believe just because Apple endorsed them that they must be a great company. They are horrendous. This business is dishonest. If you have an Apple product, I strongly urge you to try to get an appointment at Apple itself; they will do the repair and mail your item back to you. My story. I have a laptop with a broken space key-a known issue for my model. I took the laptop to Apple in San Mateo and they replaced the key for free, and told me this laptop is known for its faulty keyboard. I was offered a replacement for free, but it seemed so wasteful, I didn't ask for a complete swap. I took the computer home, where in a day the space key would not work. The Apple site directed me here-to Kangaroo mobile repair. I brought my laptop in and explained the issue. But Kangaroo wanted to charge me $99. I have the text messages where they claim that I 1. had tampered with the computer's interior and 2. had liquid damage. These are both lies. Though my computer was under warranty and though I expressly explained that Apple itself had once done a repair, Kangaroo claimed I had opened up the computer without authorization. I have taken the laptop to Apple, San Jose which will do the repair for free. Additionally they found no liquid damage. In theory I would not have minded paying extra for the convenience of a local repair. But I cannot support a business which lies and falsely accuses its customer of behavior she did not do just to get a payment. Please avoid this dishonest service if you can. read more

I went to this store for my scheduled appointment (Apple scheduled it due to no walk ins). The employee did not come out to talk to me and was barely focused since he was multitasking and working on other repairs. He informed me since it was just him working on the repairs I wouldn't get my computer back until "10 business days MAYBE" without even taking a real look at my laptop or trying to understand the issue. He suggested to leave the computer with him and that I would get a diagnosis by tomorrow to determine whether to keep my laptop with them or not (needed my computer by Monday) but proceeds to tell me no promises on when I would get the diagnosis in order to drive to pick it up before they close, meaning they would hold on to my computer over the weekend without me wanting that. Overall I know this is a hard time for everyone, but there was a lack of consideration, not even talking to your customer in person (when specifically ask instead of talking to a hallway), and not giving clear deadlines. I rarely never give reviews, but this one definitely did it for me. read more

Apple site lists battery replacement at $199 for my 12" MacBook---that's no bargain, but I needed a new battery. So I called Apple and they told me to take it to Mobil Kangaroo (Monterey) because they were the closest authorized repair center, which I promptly did. Mobil Kangaroo told me to make a deposit of $65 and they'd get to work, which they did. Then the bait-and-switch happened, instead of the $200 price tag, I was told it would cost $363.11, and I promptly said, NO WAY. Now I am out $65 and still have a dead battery. I blame Apple for recommending this place. Update 1: Oh, it even gets better because the Mobile Kangaroo tech damaged the trackpad, and when I told Oscar Vargas (Monterey), he dared to ask me to come in, and he'd give me another estimate for the repair work. When I reminded him that Mobile Kangaroo broke my machine, he did not respond. Yea, I am furious! So I took my computer to Apple Cupertino for repair. I'm getting it back today, and I hope they'll be able to fix the damage caused by your Mobile Kangaroo. Update 2: Apple Computer not only changed my battery but fixed the damaged caused by Mobile Kangaroo without charging me extra. It appears that Mobile Kangaroo hastily reattached the base plate that prevented the trackpad from properly working. Apple charged $199 for the battery and labor! Mobile Kangaroo has still not responded. I'll update this review if they get back to me. read more

I had an older 17 inch MacbookPro that needed to be diagnosed and repaired. The apple store couldn't help me (a replacement part in the laptop was not an official apple product) but I did find Mobile Kangaroo which is an authorized apple repairer. I dealt with Angel and he was able to repair my laptop no problem! I am thrilled that I don't have to spend money on a replacement (since they no longer make the 17 inch MBP) and I don't have to give up my usb ports or dvd drive. If you ever need to repair your apple product - this is the place to go. Set up your appointment through apple support and you won't have to deal with crowds or waiting around. I prepaid for my MacBook Air to be picked up for a cosmetic repair. I was given a date and time range for the pickup. No one came or called. I followed up with a phone call and email and no one responded. I just called my bank to dispute the charge. This was not a good experience for me. read more

I am a first time customer to Mobile Kangaroo here in Monterey. My MacBook Pro wouldn't start, and i was distraught to find that the Apple Store had no appointments available for nearly a week. The website sent me to the closest authorized Apple repair facility and I was able to bring in my laptop at the start of the next business day. Angel was very helpful and gave me an honest estimate and very professional service. The price was reasonable and I got my book back in 2 days (a part needed to be ordered). I hope I won't need their services again but I will return if I have issues in the future. I recommend this place. Spilled tea on my mac book and it wouldn't even turn on. The apple store was no help. All they did was cringe and ask if I wanted to make an appointment for 8 days later to check it out. I found Mobile Kangaroo on the web and was seen right away. After some diagnostics they determined that it would be more cost effective to purchase a new computer which I did. They transferred the data from my "wet" laptop to my new one the same day. Both Sean and Brad were VERY helpful and understanding. These folks are knowledgeable, responsive and fair.
