Then the starter problem. I had replaced a starter myself from a rebuilt shop and it was defective.Sabi was able to figure this out.Since then I knew i had found my repair shop. His shop has been doing oil changes,starters,,master cylinders,tires,Brakes Alternaters and services on my cars.Always repaired correctly and affordably. Its nice to see a familiar face at a garage shop with someone who knows you and your vehicles anytime you need auto repairs. Sabis shop is very qualified with very honest and reliable mechanics and I would not take my car anywhere else. Unpleaseant receptionist and very young mechanics. Recently had my Forester in for an overdue maintenance. A number of lights not repaired, but apparently they all failed at the same time a few weeks later ??? Obviously did not check the alternator which must have been on its last days IF checked. It is now in another shop for replacement....engine filthy with no attempt to provide basic wipe down that usually showed the area had been inspected for problems. Charged me $600 for very shoddy work and 3.5 weeks later the alternator was toast and battery very low. Receptionist? Hey lady, we checked everything 3.5 well ago and all was working well...how should we guess the alternator was failing...you mean by checking the battery and the alternator? Guy at the desk says NO Potential Problems when they did a "full regular check up" but the shop now replacing the alternator has found a number of basic things overdue for repair ..again the car" just happened to need more work" after the $600. bill ? Ive been using Deckers for 10 years and had nothing but EXCELLENT SURVICE and a great neighbourhood shop that was recommended by my neighbour when we moved to Burnaby. Head mechanic quit when the staff turnover happened and I'm doing the same. Zero Customer Satisfaction. This shop has been repeatedly targeted over the last few months by theft attempts so reception agrees it's not safe to leave your keys overnights / just get it in ASAP in the morning. Once the " regular maintenance at $600." was completed, all at the unhappy parts formed a complaints union but they took too long ( 3.5 weeks) to figure out who was on the committee so it's all their fault nothing will be done at the shop to bring service up to normal expectations. SUV must have really enjoyed the time off from it's usual hard driving within a 15 mile range from our house to : dog food store in East Burnaby: to Byrne Road Park ( 8 minute drive from our house) : to go for a long daily dog walk, stopping on the way there or back at Save On for groceries. We avoided Covid like the Plague it is so virtual NO trips anywhe Warning : beware shops who don't guarantee their inspections and work for even one full week. How the Mighty have Fallen is the now the warning! I am a full time caretaker wife with zero car knowledge . The good news is that I can now tell the Alternator from the battery and how to open the front hood and I know thanks to BCAA tow truck mechanics, that the little front warning red battery sign means " it the Alternato Lady, Not your Battery ‍! Yes its tired, but you can replace it after you get the new Alternator. It's not Brain Surgery. Anyone with a great shop in the South Burnaby area willing to share yours ?

Two days ago, the tire pressure in our right rear wheel was low. After filling and checking again overnight, we did indeed have a slow leak. We went to one of the larger tire shop chain stores, and they found a screw that had lodged near the inside edge of the tire. They said that it was in an unpatchable section of the tire, and we had to replace the tire. After taxes, it would have been $550! The major cost was in the tire, so we figured we would get the tire done closer to my in-law's place in New West so that we could just drop off the car for the day, then pick it up after it was done. We found Hyack on Yelp, and quoted a slightly lower price for the job. I brought the car in so that they could inspect it in-person. Dave took a look at the screw in the tire, and he said, "I think I can patch this." He said that he's seen this type of screw before (must be common occurrence with all the construction in New West or something) and that these were typically short, so the puncture was probably small. Dave said that he would have his guys take the tire off and look to see if they can patch it. If they couldn't, we would go with Plan B and order the new tire. We left the car for a couple hours and then Dave called and said he was able to patch it. As he suspected, it was a short screw, and the puncture on the inside was actually in the flat part of the tire where he could secure a patch. All together, $45 for the patch! Definitely saved us from replacing a brand new tire with another brand new tire! How is that for honesty? I would absolutely recommend Hyack for their reasonable prices, honesty and quick turnaround. And for the person who thinks that he can get a patch for $10, good luck. Maybe if you bought your tires from that shop, they would do it for a discount, but $10 hardly covers the labor. $45 was very reasonable. The large tire chain was going to charge us $56 and the dealership $150. Thanks Hyack! You saved our trip!

Which is a little shady... this is a few months later now and I Just got my Wife's struts done at a different shop and she paid less than 200 dollars for labour and we bought the struts to get installed .I wouldn't recommend this place at all this place didn't fix the problem I had and charged me for things I didn't need. I don't think they even drive the car to find the problem just charged me the most expensive they could and didn't fix the problem which I took elsewhere. This place is a rip off 0 stars
