I called and made an appointment for my Pontiac Vibe 09', VSC off…read morelight was flashing with Traction Light and Engine Light on as well, i needed a code reading with diagnostics so I called around to the usual suspects for some quotes... Canadian Tire - 149$ plus tax, my dealership at Dueck GM terminal ave. - 140$ plus tax, some other local automotive shops (I live in Port Coquitlam) gave you the read for free then wanted to charge you 80$ for diagnostics. Well Deckers ran the code scanner then did diagnostics and realized it was an on board computer glitch (most likely caused when the cars system needs updating) plus a small evap leak. They reset the flashing vsc off, traction and engine light then recommended that I take it more seriously if it happens again. "So what do I owe you?", I asked as I started mental cringing at the thought of forking over a hundred dollars for a less than fifteen minute job that turned out to be a glitching computer...... ready? --- 40$. Nuff said, Deckers now has a customer for life. I immediately tried to book an appointment to change my back breaks with them but the serviceman Mike took a peek with a flashlight and told me the pads were at about 30% so wait 2 more oil changes then come see him..... When ever i leave my car with him i have no worries about if they will repair something before it is needed. When it comes to cost he is a bit more reasonable the other shops . I think our grocery bill has gone up way more than his labor cost . They used to have a ok coffee a ways back . I miss that !!! All in all they have my per cent approval . I have had my Mitsubishi' brakes fixed somewhere else which they were not good enough to replace the brakes perfectly. Therefore, my car's engine light and a bunch of other lights have been remained on. Mahmoud, with his best knowledge, found the origin of the problem and got it fixed. Came here to get some suspension work done, on the recommendation of a friend…read more Parking is available in front of the building, but this can fill up. The owner/manager Danny (super chill and easy going guy) took care of me from the beginning. Usually I'm a bit edgy about trusting shops (including dealerships) as they've messed things up in my car before, but Danny was open when I mentioned the model-specific quirks for repairing my suspension. The other guys in the shop are easy going and friendly as well. I was able to guide them through the repair as the critical "quirky" parts of the procedures came up, and they were receptive. Very special mention for this, as most shops often have the "I know more than you do" attitude, followed by the "oh, I didn't know this repair for your car is different from other models, think I broke something" garbage. The entire shop is quite easy going, and there are cars going into and out of this place all the time. As a result, the work may take a bit longer, as the crew are switching back and forth between vehicles. But they have a nice lounge with Netflix, which kept me entertained. I also saw them offer other customers a lift to somewhere nearby such as Metropolis so they wouldn't be stuck at the shop for a few hours. During my repair, Danny even pointed out some failed components I didn't even know had broken. A quick call to the dealer to order parts, and I was back the next day. This repair took a while, but the shop was busy that day and I knew they were squeezing me in as a courtesy. No complaints. When the alignment was slightly off (common if the suspension isn't fully settled) after I picked up the car, Danny took the car right back in, no questions asked. He even took me around for a test drive so he could see the problem for himself. The price for replacing 4 controls arms, inner tie rod, and subsequent 4-wheel alignment(s) came to under $300 - almost too low, to be honest. Let's see the dealer do this work for under $1000. My suspension is now buttery smooth, and this shop has earned itself a loyal customer. Highly recommended.
