If you have other mechanical issues, he also owns the Midas shop a few kms up Kingsway that does brakes, exhaust, and other major repairs. I've never been so demeaned for being a woman. I called back for a refund after the refused to service me. Meanwhile Richard the owner sat in my car and googled codes he wasn't able to fix. The issue? My mechanic told me later that the tube they replaced in April was leaking, and that's what they refused to fix due to what I believe is incompetence. I called the following day for a refund and Allan told me to come in again and I said I didn't trust their work after coming in and waiting. Allan was extremely rude and dismissive after my long wait to an empty shop. If you aren't in an emergency, or a woman, AVOID this place. They add things to the bill without asking (my initial visit I was charged $100 for coolant I didn't want). Reported to BBB. Awful service. After a lack of info and waiting without answer, I towed my car. The new and trusted mechanic said the coolant leaked and needed a new hose. No one at Jiffy lube answered basic questions and in fact couldn't even find the leak! An appointment to fix the issue never happened. The owner, Richard, spent an entire hour sitting in my car Googling basic diagnostic codes on his personal cell phone. He did not know how to fix the issue, yet I was still charged [Insert amount if you want]. Falsely claiming we scheduled a follow-up is an attempt to cover up a complete lack of basic expertise and a rip-off. Future customers beware.

After I ask, they say they can have it in noon the next day. I go there at 1:00 pm the next day, am told the wrong filter arrived, and they wouldn't be able to get the correct one until Tuesday because of long weekend. 5pm the same day get a call saying the filter came in (which means they lied to me about receiving the wrong filter). Just before they about to start, he says it's going to be $171 plus tax! That's nearly $200 for an oil change and $32 more than I was told the day before. Guy says he doesn't know who I talked to the day before and that's the price.

We needed to drain the oil pan after we added a bit too much. They added an air filter which was only 20 bucks so the oil change was.. well, really effing pricy. Lo and behold, battery test results show replace battery status. Took less than 30 minutes to buy and install new car battery plus they also inspected tires and check oil filter. Chose to get new car battery here for my Mom for peace of mind and friendly service. I have had my Mitsubishi' brakes fixed somewhere else which they were not good enough to replace the brakes perfectly. Therefore, my car's engine light and a bunch of other lights have been remained on. Mahmoud, with his best knowledge, found the origin of the problem and got it fixed. The lady at the desk was super helpful and informative, and let me know that instead of buying a new tire, it could possibly be repaired for cheaper. She insisted I come on down and see if my tire was repairable, even though I wouldn't get there until 5 o'clock. They stayed open a half hour late to get me all set up, and thoroughly answered all my questions. Extremely affordable prices and quality service. They even let me hang around and ask annoying questions and watch how they were patching my tire, as I love to learn new things given the opportunity. The mechanic and the desk staff were SUPER friendly, kind, good people. I'm visiting from 1000 miles away and I was so relieved to encounter such benevolent, genuinely helpful, happy people after being stuck in the pouring rain for an hour. Will not hesitate to visit them again next time my car needs anything. I appreciate the honest work, and being informed of cheaper alternatives that I was unaware of, which is so rare in this day and age. 1) Upsell Through Misrepresentation of Services…read more I came in for an oil change. Upon arrival, the staff tells me that there is sludge on the oil tank cap. He tells me that it is necessary for him to flush the engine before he is able to proceed. I say okay and was ushered back into my car. Within a minute, I go back out and ask the staff to not proceed with the flush. The staff says that he had already flushed the engine and that there was nothing he could do about it now. During the rest of the service, I ask more questions about the legitimacy of the service and the staff member tells me that the internet cannot be trusted. I then call the Vancouver Volkswagen dealership and confirmed my last oil change service date I did with them as well as mileage. The Volkswagen dealership relays that given the time and mileage between the oil change, that sludge formation was highly improbable and that if that was in fact the situation, that that would indicate a severe problem with the engine. I asked the staff if there was anything wrong with the engine, to which he says no. I argue that given the information provided that a flush was unnecessarily and that the staff had either misdiagnosed or mispresented the situation and service needed. The staff refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. 2) Repeated refusals to honor agreed upon solutions Following the issues mentioned above, I spoke with the manager and he told me that he would refund the amount for the engine flush. He said that he would speak to his supervisor and that the refund will be processed the next day. The next day, I called back and the manager said that he could only refund half of the amount back. I was reluctant to the refund amount but agreed. Following the call, I posted a review on Google illustrating the interactions above. Half an hour later, the manager calls back and says "I saw your review on Google, no more refund for you", dishonoring yet another refund agreement.
