All the locals on the beaches and rafting and kayaking down the river were all giving us the thumbs down and yelling at us to go away. It seems like this company, which is the only motorized presence on this stretch of river, and has only been around a few years, is absolutely despised by the local community and other tourists who are just trying to enjoy a quiet and fun river experience. The jet boats speed upriver, are extremely loud and fast, and create large wakes that erode the river bank and annoy everyone else trying to have a nice time on river. The jet boats spin in circles and zig-zag at high speeds up river. WE EVEN KNOCKED OVER A SMALL CHILD WITH OUR WAKE AT ONE POINT, and the guides just laughed while her parents yelled at us to slow down. Multiple times, the guides literally yelled at and taunted people who were asking us to slow down, or who gave us a thumbs down. Please don't support this horrible business. Float the river with one of the rafting companies that has been operating in the area for decades -- it's way more fun anyways. read more

When my 2 road trip buddies and I were in Moab we tripped across this place when our first choice jet boat was booked solid. Thank heavens that happened, as Moab Jett is SO much better. The couple (Annie and ?- sorry,dude) who run it are very nice and their boat is a state of the art design - just ask and you will get details. We ended up hiring the entire boat privately as it turned out to be surprisingly affordable. Not sure if we just got lucky or they do that all the time. We had a beautiful and thrilling early morning cruise. Another Moab jet boat tour company advertises that it can enter the National Park boundary (no other company can) but be assured it doesn't matter as there is plenty to see without entering the park. Further, the Moab Jett boat is smaller than other commercial rides so the overall experience is much superior. The husband/captain is a very very cool guy and worked a long time for that other company so he is extremely qualified on the river. Plus, if you ask, he will make his boat do completely flat 360 degree spin on its axis (which gets everyone wet!). What a riot! This was one of the highlights of our 15 day trip and I will definitely book Moab Jett again. read more

What a fun time! I always like to do something "special" on any trip my family takes, and I thought this would be a unique way to see another side of Moab. I searched around online and found Jett Moab - it was one of the few companies that offered boat rides in mid-March when we'd be in the area, their pricing was affordable, and their office was conveniently located in Moab, about 3 blocks from our hotel. I first messaged Heidi a couple months prior to our trip, and she was very friendly and responsive, providing recommendations and more information about the various options. We ended up booking the "Adventure Tour" for our family of 4 (including two 5 year olds), and we had such a terrific time! Cassidy was our boat driver and guide, and he tailored the trip to our desires... giving us a little bit of "crazy" and a little bit of "education." The boat was stocked with water and lemonade, as well as jackets and blankets (which we definitely needed... wowza, it got cold out there!). Overall a very exciting time - our kids had a blast! I highly recommend this activity and this company. read more

We had a tour scheduled for Sunday, and received a call officially cancelling it 30 minutes beforehand because not enough other people had scheduled. We had already planned our day around this excursion that was cancelled, presumably because they decided they wouldn't be making enough money off our trip. We then chose to reschedule it for the next day. We had something arise in our schedule making the trip not viable for this new day, and arrived in person to cancel immediately -- an hour before the trip. They then charged us for the trip. It is very hypocritical for the company to cancel a trip which we had now scheduled two days of our vacation around, yet then not allow us to cancel ours. It's fine when we lose money, but not them apparently. read more

A MUST DO if traveling through Moab!! While on our journey through the 5 National Parks in Utah we took a small detour and we are so glad we did!
