We had a great time on this tour. They sent the waiver documents with time to sign online, so the check in process was quick and easy. You can either meet at their location, where you can get some merch, sunscreen, use the facilities and ask any questions you have, or you can pay a small fee to get picked up from your location. From their place to the river, we did one of their raft tours, with 2 other couples we met there, and Josh, our guide. From beginning to end, Josh had a lot of information and history to share with us, and he made everything interesting and fun. He enjoyed answering questions, sharing his knowledge with us, and taking all the pictures we wanted. We even stopped for a quick hike on our tour (and those that didn't want to join were welcomed to stay on the raft). This was an amazing way to see a lot in a "short time" and learn. read more

We were in town and had a plan for a hike and expedition of Arches National Park. But the other national park, Canyonlands, we didn't have a plan yet. I was searching on line and found Navtec. The river ride on the Colorado sounded like a great way to see the park. And it sure was, we nailed it. We arrived at their location downtown Moab a little while after checking into a hotel downtown. They offered to pick us up but it was a nice 10 minute walk to get to their office. It's a nice spot with plenty of last minute necessary's like sunscreen. Within minutes of rallying our group of 6 we were off to the launch point for the tour with our motorized blowup boat. We had a stop along the way at the great wall to see hieroglyphics. The boat ride was great, with information on spots and stories as well. Our guide Josh was excellent. Happy to say we had a great time. read more

He connected with each of us individually, and created a team vibe so that we all felt Ike we knew each other-which we did by the end of the 5 hours we were together. Eli is extremely knowledgeable, quick, clever and funny. I only had one other experience on a river rafting trip and it wasn't positive because unlike Eli, the guide didn't make me feel safe. We had limited time visiting Arches NP. We had spent the previous day visiting Canyonlands NP, had to be out of our campsite in the morning, and were leaving for Monument Valley in the afternoon so at the recommendation of my brother we booked a semi-private, guided 4x4 tour with NavTec expeditions. we did the 4 hour Arches Safari from 8am-12pm tour so which ended up being over 5 hours. Brian was our experienced driver & knowledgeable guide. We shared the Lexus 450 with another couple. I sat in the front and my wife shared the backseat with another couple who were thankfully very nice. We took backroads & trails away from all the crowds. He took us to Eye of the Whale arch which required a relatively easy hike. No one else was there. It was quiet and peaceful all to ourselves. He also took us to the more impressive Tower arch which required a little more difficult hike with some minor scrambling over rocks. My wife struggled a bit getting there. It started getting warm. Luckily it wasn't too hot because we took the early tour but it would've been more difficult with heat midday. Tower arch was impressive. There were several other hikers there but still peaceful and quiet. We also stopped at Double arch which was an easy walk. An added bonus was stopping at some dinosaur footprints which was cool. All the while taking some minor technical off road trails. We didn't get to see delicate arch because the hike would've taken us too long so we'll have to return another day. This tour wasn't cheap but I felt like the cost was worth it. This and being split from my are the only things keeping me from giving 5 stars. read more

My family and I experienced a great adventure with Levi from Navtec. He has a great wealth of knowledge that he shared with us about Arches National Park. He told us about the creation of the rock formations and the history from dinosaurs to modern era animals and plants. He drove us close to Tower Arch. Then we hiked 15 minutes. It's a beautiful arch that 99% of the park visitors will never see because you must have a very durable off-rode vehicle and an experienced driver to safely get to it. Levi showed us numerous arches, windows, and other rock formations. He explained their various names. Overall it was an experience of a life time. read more

I had a rafting trip with Michael down the Colorado River on our family trip to Moab! It was awesome. He was super knowledgeable about the area and had plenty of Dad jokes. He was careful on the rapids as one of our group members has a has had a few back problems, which we appreciated. You can tell he is an experienced guide. The view is beautiful and a trip to Moab isn't complete without going down the river. Navtec also offers trips in the back part of Arches (permit, 4x4 access only), and it was amazing. We booked this adventure on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. At first I was a bit hesitant, because I didn't know this person from Adam, so I was uncertain that their interests might not be mine. Well let me tell you...they were spot on, and luckily when we met Adam (our tour guide and new bff) we knew we were in for quite an escapade! Reviewed today via mobile We had a wonderful tour with Keith as our river guide and Hyram as our driver. Both were all smiles the entire trip- down to Earth guys who are lots of fun to be around. The river was a little low and slow so the ride was mostly leisurely but Keith found ways to make it really exciting by "surfing" our raft. We were able to dip into the water several times and it felt wonderful against the scorching Moab heat. --- Exploring Arches via 4x4 is a MUST. If you don't feel comfortable handling technical terrain in a very expensive rental Jeep, you should really consider this tour with NavTech. They are one of the oldest tour companies in Moab with deep roots and knowledgeable guides. I recommend riding on the right hand side of the vehicle for the best views. What a great pleasure it was for me and my two twenty-year-olds to spend a recent full day touring and hiking Arches with Adam from Navtec. He was awesome. The tour was so memorable, and Adam was such a delight to be with and most informative - I can't recommend it enough. We saw a couple of arches (gotta go to Delicate) on the regular path - but a great beaten path - and then, after a lunch prepared by Navtec, we went back country with Adam all afternoon to see several glorious arches and scenery with nobody else around. He couldn't have been a better engaging host, insightful guide, and helpful support throughout the day. A total pleasure and a day filled with wonderful memories. He/Navtec helped us appreciate and love the park in so many ways - and wanting to come back for more. I'm 77 and a step counter. 24,000+ steps that day - by far the most I've done since I've been counting over the past year. This is the 2nd year in a row we've done the 1/2 day rafting tour. We do it with the kids, So we don't expect super exciting. Last year the guide had some personality and there were some parts of the river with small rapids and soaking water and the boat rocked. This year the girl could barely paddle the boat. My son got out and swam faster than she paddled. She avoided any type of rapids. She did not speak. My sons were bored, and we've done this year after year and they've never complained before. We will try a new company next season. read more

We had the greatest time with Bridger on the river (Smooth Bridgerator for sure!). The trip itself is gorgeous, and Bridger did all the work, we just got to sit back and relax. But he kept us entertained and informed and did a terrific job making sure we all got the splashes that made it fun. We will definitely return to do Westwater (Bridger says Westwater is the Bestwater) and if we're lucky we'll also get Shaggy as our shuttle driver again. Thanks for the tip on the Historic Marker! We did a four hour sunset adventure trip(8/21) with Chris exploring Arches national Park. Chris was an awesome guide and took us into some hard to reach areas with his 4 x 4- which was half the fun. He also took us to see some great Arches as we wanted to do a lot of hiking as well. Chris asked us what we were interested in doing and provided us exactly as we requested . He pointed out things that we would never have noticed and taught us a little bit about botany, geography, geology, paleontology among other topics. Chris gets a huge thumbs up!! We would definitely do the trip again and will now include NavTech as an adventure tour group that we will consider on our next trip. read more

Urry led an astonishing 4x4 expedition into corners of Canyonlands that few visitors see, and which would certainly be out of reach for most private vehicles. My friend and I were visiting Moab for a few days. To see as much as we could, we booked two tours with Navtec... Arches 1/2 Day Safari and Island in the Sky Half Day Canyonlands. As it was late March, Navtec had not yet started sunset tours. However, through email and a phone call, I was able to work with Mary Alice in the office to add an evening tour to the schedule for us. We booked the Arches tour as a sunset tour and the Canyonlands tour for the following day as a morning tour. We received email confirmations from Navtec shortly after booking. The office is right off the main road in downtown Moab. Very easy to find. Upon checking in at the office for our evening tour of Arches, Mary Alice had us complete a few simple forms before introducing us to our guide Rick. Rick took us out to the Land Cruiser that we would be using for our tour. Rick was friendly and flexible from the start. He got us setup in the 4x4 making sure we had plenty of water and snacks. Additionally, my friend and I brought our backpacks along with our own snacks and water. We were well supplied! Since it was March, we wore jackets. The vehicle had air conditioning and a heater. Keep in mind that there is no music in the vehicle. The radio is disabled. We drove out of town towards Arches while Rick started to point out some sights around the area. This tour takes you through the back roads of Arches away from the paved roads that most of the tourists are using. There is some rough terrain that the 4x4 is able to navigate. It seemed that this kept the crowds away. Rick stopped at several prominent sights inside the park... Dinosaur tracks, Balanced Rock, hidden arches, rock formations, etc. Rick seemed to know all the secret spots around the park! Along the way, he happily snapped photos where we wanted, stopped if we wanted to take a longer look at something, or answered questions that we had. There are several bathroom stops along the route. It was a great overview of the park's backcountry without all of the crowds. As our tour wound down, we drove back to the office. We really liked Rick's easygoing, friendly style... So we requested to have him as our guide for the following day at Canyonlands! Navtec was able to the juggle their scheduling last minute. When we arrived for our Canyonlands tour the following morning, one of the managers, Angela, surprised us with Rick once again as our guide. Back in the 4x4 to Canyonlands, we got more of the same friendly treatment. Rick continued to point out sights, stop for photos, etc. Rick masterly navigated the back roads of the park showing us countless sights. Again, it was nice discovering the park away from the crowds with a local expert. Between our two tours with Rick, he graciously gave us all kinds of tips about what else to see in the area, hikes, restaurants, etc. While out on the roads, we knew we were in safe, capable hands. Without question, we had two amazing tours! I highly recommend you ask for Rick if you are headed out with Navtec! read more

If you decide to go with Navtec for jeep touring or river rafting be sure and request Zoe as your guide! We recently took the jeep tour with her. We were so impressed by her skill, knowledge of the area and it's geology, (not to mention her great personality), that we decided on the spot to go river rafting with her as our guide the very next day. We highly recommend Zoe for both activities. When you do the jeep tour make sure the front desk does not put you in a jeep called Sweet Alice. The vehicle is pretty run down and was very difficult to get into second gear when we needed it most for rugged rock terrain. We noticed that there are better vehicles in the fleet, so just ask for one those. The jeep tour is a great way to see the Arches away from all the crowds and the river rafting offers exciting fun! read more

Mike was THE most dashingly handsome guide I have EVER had. He even made us a delicious salmon dinner with Crown liquor and cheesecake. Wow!!! Plus his knowledge of the terrain, foliage and history was on point. Maze Tour Tip: read your itinerary! I like to be "surprised." Last year I took the Island in Sky Tour, which was not extraneous at all. Figured same for the 2 day Maze tour. Nope. First thing was a six mile trek thru Horseshoe Canyon. Alone. In the middle of a wicked sand storm. With the last mile being a 75 degree incline up sand and gravel. And it wasn't your typical dry hot Moab weather so def bring the gear listed on your itinerary (ie waterproof pants and hiking boots). Other than that, excellent trip! I will continue to use Navtec until I see it all!!! read more
