The BEST way to spend the day in Moab! My boyfriend and I rented this lovely vehicle from 8am-1pm and boy did we get our money's worth!! Upon arrival the staff was accommodating and friendly and asked us what type of ride we were looking for. We said some scenic routes, and then some rock crawling. They programmed our route into the gps in the vehicle and it was 100% user friendly. We took the vehicle to the Sand Flats Recreation area and did the 'Find N Things' route. We still had some time to kill so we braved the beginning part of 'Hells Revenge!' I am so glad we did because what an electric time we had!! After this trip, and this amazing time on the 4X4 we have decided to make Moab an annual trip. We will be back & ready to complete the entirety of 'Hells Revenge'! read more

Thor delivered. Literally and figuratively. Our family did the Gateway to Hell's Revenge / Fins and Things tour this morning (9-12:30) in a brand new 2026 Polaris side-by-side, and it did not disappoint. Epic 4x4 Adventures nailed it from start to finish. We hit some serious traffic with the Easter Jeep Safari in town, but Thor navigated around the congestion like a pro -- pivoting on the fly and actually turning the detour into the highlight of the trip. Baby Lion's Back was my personal favorite: a great climb, an even better descent, and some fun sand berms to cap it off. My kids (11 and 14) were loving every second of it. Thor clearly knows this terrain cold -- he guided us confidently over every obstacle and made sure we always felt safe without sacrificing any of the excitement. My wife occasionally deals with motion sickness and had zero issues, which honestly says a lot about how smoothly he ran the route. If you're in Moab and want a guide who knows when to stick to the plan and when to ditch it for something better -- ask for Thor. read more

We booked the sunset UTV tour of Hell's Revenge with Epic 4x4 Adventures and could not have had a better time. Naturally, the scenery is Epic (pun intended) but it was our guide, Landon, who made the event a stellar experience. First, and foremost, Landon was all about safety and he demonstrated that obsession throughout the event. Our adventure to Hell's Revenge and Fins & Things was a blast from start to finish. Our guide, Foley, was a very skilled driver. He was attentive, instructional and made the safety of our group his #1 priority. The drive was technical and very challenging. The scenery was other-worldly. A few things to note: this company is so safety-conscience that they utilize a headset system where each 4X4 is in constant communication with our guide (while on the trail, we saw that this is not always the case with other 4X4 tour companies); helmets and goggles were provided; our guide brought plenty of water for the group; we were on the move for most of the adventure, with limited stops; be aware that the 4X4's are very loud; and, if you are prone to motion sickness, consider taking an over-the-counter medication like Dramamine before you start your drive. This was such a great decision. It was so much fun. A guide leads the pack while you drive your own UTV and follow. They make it so you have space for fun, especially if you haven't done it before. They guide you exactly how to get up and down the rocks. This is a beginners intro into rock crawling. It was a blast and Travis made us both very comfortable and always made sure we were safe. Instructions were super clear and the headsets made communication with Travis a breeze. This review is for the You-Drive Hell's Revenge Sunset adventure. Upon pulling up to the meeting point 30 minutes before departure time, we were met by an extremely nice woman (I can't remember her name, maybe Jennifer?), who checked us in from the trailer parked outside. We completed all of our waivers online prior to showing up, so we just had to provide our licenses for verification. Shortly after, we were introduced to our tour guide, Scott. We were then outfitted with our requested equipment, a motorcycle-type helmet (this is optional but I suggest it because 1, safety and 2, protection from 95% of the the dirt and exhaust fumes created by the vehicle in front of you. I don't know how people just wear sunglasses and a scarf). Once the other parties appeared, we were given an orientation on vehicle use and were on our way on time! Scott was super informative and took us to numerous trails as the evening progressed. There were some tough climbs as well as a few "need for speed"-esque moments and we loved it! We also were able to stop off at a few scenic spots for pictures and information as well. If you're visiting Moab, definitely book your tour with Epic, they really know what they're doing out there! On a side note, I'd like to personally shout out Jennifer for being super quick to respond to my emails regarding items I left behind in the vehicle. I emailed her last night and she got back to me in 20 minutes! She was able to get in contact with the lot porter very quickly, who in turn placed my items to the side for me to pick up first thing this morning. What a fantastic business Jennifer the owner was great with us. We took their Fins and Things/Hell's Revenge evening tour and what a blast it was. Scott the tour guide was fantastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The UTV's are new with some customizing done to them to make them safer like the 6 point safety harness and the roll cage. and had tons of power. All UTV's have nice RTIC coolers mounted to the back loaded with ice and water. The owner was there helping us and she was very friendly and energetic. If your ever in Moab and want to do a tour then head over and check them out. After you talk to them you'll definitely be renting from them. I wish I could give it 10 stars. This is a "must do". The booking process was very easy. The staff was very responsive to questions and their communication up to the day of the ride was amazing. We are from CA where they NEVER let you switch drivers on these types of tours trying to force more revenue by having people get their own vehicle. I love that they price by vehicle not by person and that you can switch pre-approved drivers anytime during the 3.5hr ride and have fun sharing the experience together. Our guide was top notch (sorry it was an 8 day 2,400 mile trip so I forgot his name) He was very friendly, shared a lot of information about the area and was really good at instilling confidence in each of the drivers. He made us believe in ourselves that we could do these crazy things. My husband used to 4x4 back in the day and even he was nervous at some of the obstacles until he did them. I would have to say this was honestly the highlight of our SF-Reno-Bonneville Salt Flats-Salt Lake City-Moab-Grand Canyon- Joshua Tree - Temecula (family) - back to SF journey. We will be talking about this forever. I really want to point out that not all tours are the same and you'll see that when you are out there. Some of the other companies use what seem like souped up golf carts and they had to keep going around us avoiding some of the really cool obstacles. I kind of felt bad for them when they drove by and saw our awesome rigs with race-car lines and giant tires. I'm really glad I did my research and read these reviews before I booked. They have the most robust and stable vehicles of all the ones we've seen, with large tires to prevent tipping. All their vehicles are special built by the owner and are upgraded for maximum safety and enjoyment during your ride. We had an absolute blast and felt very confident after getting proper instruction by our guide, Landon, on how to navigate the terrain. He literally made us stop multiple times mid-decline to show that the vehicles could handle being almost 90 degrees perpendicular to the ground and still respond to coming to a complete stop. They have helmets and protective eyewear and it is clear safety is prioritized every step of the way. And when that safety and trust is established through some easier routes, it is much more fun to enjoy the rest of the tour through some cutting edge climbs up and down ridges! This is arguably one of the most fun things I have done in my life! It was fun driving the vehicle, learning how it works, and having a scenic 3.5-4 hour tour with a knowledgeable guide who knew about the terrain, various formations, nature preservation, and other topics that enriched the experience. I am so grateful I booked with Epic 4x4 Adventures and when come back to Moab, will do another one of their tour options that they offer. We had an awesome time with Gavin yesterday! Our friend went through this company and recommended them. I highly recommend them as well. You can tell that their vehicles are much better quality than the others out there. The others have tiny tires and suspension. What's crazy is that some companies let inexperienced people drive without a guide. We had a group of 13 and I sat with Gavin while the other 12 fit into 3 vehicles, driving their own vehicles. All of us had zero experience with a 4x4 and Gavin kept us all safe while having a really fun time. When it was over and we got into our own car, my daughter commented that it felt really boring Gavin also really knows kids and he helped my 3 year old calm down and get his helmet on when I couldn't. He ended up really winning over all the kids with his delicious snacks. I was impressed with the assortment that he had too. Went on a tour today. Honestly something my husband really wanted to do. He was a razor guy forever until we sold all our toys a few years ago. He convinced me to go with him never was my sought of thing I ever liked doing. Our tour guide Landon was amazing! We went on a tour here. Let me first say that my first impression was not good at all. I found Jennifer, who I understand is the owner, to be very rude. Definitely not understanding of first timers. Quite honestly my first impression of this place, made me want to ask for a refund, and turn around and walk out the door. Due to myself not being the only one in the group I decided to go on. Once we got in the car and got going, things improved drastically. Kudos to Our guide Josh for redeeming Epic Adventures. Josh did a fabulous job, was engaging, encouraging, gave clear directions, and communicated well! He was also great with our kids. Have to say we debated hard going guide vs no guide and can say after the fact that having a guide in Hells Revenge / Fins & Things is a no brainer. Starts with the guide and Jason is the man. Super motivating and genuinely wants everyone to have a blast. Show you can follow instructions and handle some terrain and he'll take you to the good stuff. Awesome dude. Having a guide also a no brainer so you know where to go and what the machines can do. No way we would have tried a fraction of the technical spots without Jason there. Not to mention would have wasted tons of time trying to figure out where to go. This is not sand hollow or other dunes in Utah where you can roam freely.
