The scenery was breathtaking, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide Shaun. Shaun was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the river, but also the history, geology, wildlife, and the entire surrounding area. Every question we asked was met with an interesting answer, and his passion for what he does really shines through. Beyond that, Shaun was kind, funny, smart, and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we launched. He struck the perfect balance between keeping us safe, sharing fascinating information, and making sure we were having an amazing time. By the end of the trip, it felt like we had spent the day with a friend. We can't wait to come back to Moab and do it again! When we do, we will absolutely be requesting Shaun as our guide. If you're considering a rafting trip, don't hesitate - you'll make incredible memories, and if you're lucky enough to get Shaun, you're in for an unforgettable adventure!

I was super nervous about the rapids but it was honestly not bad at all. We even got in the water and floated thru the rapids at "swimmers rapids" and took some splashes in the face but it was still a ton of fun! It was warm out so getting splashed and in the water was refreshing! The smaller 6 person boats were the perfect size that you still got some bumps as you went thru the rapids vs the really huge boats some other companies had and it kept it to our family of 5.

Stunning! Absolutely stunning!…read moreI've traveled on four continents and this is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Park Avenue was my favorite, then the Delicate Arch, but holy heavens, around literally every turn there was another absolute stunner of a view. I took easily 100 pictures during my relatively short time in the park. Then, when you drive back out, you see all the same stunning views, but at different angles, and you experience those things in a brand new way. This was easily the highlight of my 3,600 mile, 12-day, 9-state road trip. You have to come here, it is nearly unbelievable how beautiful it is. You have to experience it for yourself. Absolutely one of the most beautiful places in the US, without question!

This park's hikes follow one long main road that ends around a campsite area that goes to several arches including Broken Arch. I drove out their first and did this hike which is really more of a long trail. The arch was MUCH bigger than I'd expected, and it was cool to see! The weather wasn't the best -- scattered light showers creeping in but thankfully it never rained too heavily, and despite the trails being all sand/sandy dirt, my shoes stayed fairly dry and it didn't get too muddy. Along this trail are some other arches e.g. tapestry arch (there's three of them connected together). The trail is pretty flat and manageable for almost anyone, just a few areas that are a little more uphill than most but no scrambling or anything. Other cool hikes are the delicate arch trail (even if you just do the short viewpoint one, which I did), the sand dune arch, and the double arch/north window arch (more of a long walk than a hike). The skyline arch is also a nice easy pull off pic (or short walk to get closer), and the Park avenue and Garden of Eden viewpoints (+- other early viewpoints in the park) are absolutely stunning. If you're in the area, I would absolutely rec a trip to Arches NP! If you only have time to do one park in the area my personal pref would be Canyonlands rather than arches, but you can certainly see near all of arches within a day (or even a few hours if you just want to hit some of the major spots) whereas Canyonlands is MASSIVE and some areas require AWD/high clearance so Arches is much more accessible. If you really just want to hit the highlights in both, you can do it in one day (that's what I did -- left around 7a to go to mesa arch and grand overlook viewpoints @Canyonlands, then drove to arches and hit all those short trails/viewpoints mentioned above. Was done by about 6p the same day).

She was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept us laughing all day with river guide stories and jokes. One of our favorite parts was when Molly pointed out a Padlé Oarefish. We'd never even heard of one before! She explained they're unusually flat fish, most commonly yellow with blue, red, or pink accents, and they're surprisingly well camouflaged along the river. Such a cool thing to learn! She also showed us a rock formation that looked exactly like Winnie the Pooh wearing a beret and breathing fire. Once you see it, you can't unsee it! The wildlife was unbelievable. We saw bighorn sheep, three otters, geese, blue herons (mud flamingos), a baby deer, a fox catching a fish, and a huge eagle nest. Molly said we're officially her lucky group because they usually only see a couple of those animals, and she'd never seen the deer or the fox on a trip before. Lunch was fantastic too! The "conewiches" were surprisingly delicious. We were a little hesitant because we'd never tried Mediterranean food before, but the homemade Mediterranean salad with feta and kettle chips folded into a tortilla absolutely rocked. I'm still wishing I had Molly's recipe! If you're thinking about rafting in Moab, book the Fisher Towers trip with Red River Adventures. If you get Molly as your guide, consider yourself lucky. You'll leave with great memories, sore cheeks from laughing, and probably a newfound appreciation for the rare and majestic Padlé Oarefish. Oh, and I t's officially Hank's Bubble Bath in our book. I strongly advise looking for another mountain biking outfitter in Moab. Our private tour of the…read moreDead Horse Point Singletrack on April 11th was a massive disappointment, largely due to Rim Tours' misleading staff and lack of basic safety protocols. Before booking, I explicitly called their office to inquire about the trail's difficulty. Their representative adamantly assured me that this was an easy, beginner-friendly ride. That was completely false. The trail features rocky, technical terrain. When confronted about this later, management simply pointed to the "intermediate" label on their website, completely ignoring the blatant misrepresentation by their own sales team over the phone. To make matters worse, we were caught in a severe storm. While I understand a standard "rain or shine" policy, we were exposed to active thunder and lightning out on the trail. A competent outfitter would prioritize safety and pull their clients off an exposed plateau during a lightning storm. Instead, because we had to end the ride early to avoid being struck by lightning, Rim Tours hid behind their cancellation policy and refused to offer any kind of refund or credit, claiming the guide deemed it "appropriate to proceed." If you value honest communication and your own personal safety, do not book with Rim Tours. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your credit card, and once the tour starts, you are completely on your own.
