The food was fantastic! I got the beef pho and my wife got the shrimp bowl. We loved both of them. The server brought us extra fixings at no charge. The tea for two was stellar, especially because they added hot water which felt like a refill. The ambiance was pretty nice, we liked the outdoor succulent forest patio! Definitely recommend for a fun bite for two for under 40$! read more

First time stopping by, I ordered the chicken pho to go. It hit the spot! Laura was kind & professional, I definitely will be back again.

Amazing service + amazing pho for the win! We stumbled upon this little gem not knowing what to expect. It had both good and bad reviews on yelp so we went to try for ourselves. To start off, our server was friendly and nice- he had mentioned he was new but the way he served us says otherwise! He knew what he was doing and made sure we had everything we needed. (drinks, utensils, extra napkins, good food etc) We ordered the chicken pho, beef brisket pho and a pork rice dish. They were all phenomenal and did not disappoint. There was a freshness in each dish that did not leave us heavy but satisfied. The broth for both phos was so delicious! I usually never finish the broth but this was exceptionally tasty and not overly salty which made it enjoyable! The pork on the rice dish was an amazing combination of sweet and salty together with the dipping sauce they provided. Lastly, their water tasted really good! That's usually not something I'd review but it is worth mentioning. ;) read more

My husband and I decided to try this place and it was the perfect comfort food for a cold day. Laura, our cashier was friendly and helped me decide from the menu. I got the organic range free chicken pho and my husband the beef pho both with steamed vegetables added. The broth was flavorful, the noodles tasty and the meat perfectly tender. We also ordered freshly brewed Jasmine tea which was pleasantly floral. The restaurant is cozy with outdoor seating and modern decor. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items. read more

Service, rude staff, I ordered large pho and it barely came with noodles and I told the waiter and he brought me cold stale noodles knowing my soup couldn't make them soft, other time i went i ordered extra noodles that cost and they brought them taken out of hot broth, i don't know if it's family or chain owned but the service is moody at times and makes you feel unwelcome read more

I love coming here, everything is so delicious. I've shown my whole family this place and it's truly so good.. just last week I came in here at at the same time like at 10:40. Today we returned to grab some lunch with my husband and they said they open at 11. The store was opened, but upon walking in they told us they were closed. Looked like they were still prepping.. they shouldn't open at 10:30 some days (as that's what their time of opening shows) and at 11 other days. You can't pick and choose and inconvenience other people. My husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice lunch, we have a newborn so we took our time fed her and put her to sleep so we can enjoy some quality time together, not that that's anyone's fault.. but just explaining why I'm even more upset. read more

This Pho is so good. It's been my only go to pho place because of how flavorful and clean their broth is (they don't add msg). Their servers are always on top of it and get my order right the first time. I love the aesthetic on the inside but I finally sat outside recently because I visited with my dog and even he got the great attentive service we always receive. read more

Definitely doesn't look like much when you drive up but inside are the nicest people they were so accommodating when they knew I had a cold and gave me hot tea;) Unlike any other Pho place in Costa Mesa they actually made me Pho with tendon Even though it wasn't on the menu;) I was so grateful to have it and it tasted yummy when I got home!!! I definitely wrote this to thank the staff for their kindness and accommodating my craving for tendon Pho read more

ok. So there were a lot of things wrong here. From outside, this place looks closed because of how dark they keep it in the restaurant. The decor in this place is strange, there isn't much of a theme, making the dine in experience lack luster. The service here was the slowest service I had experienced at a Pho place. The waitress took forever to come ask us for our order. And then once we put the order in. The food took 20 minutes to come out. We ordered an appetizer of the Shrimp egg rolls and those didn't come out until our Pho did. Shrimp was chewy, and the sauce that came with it tasted like watered down sugar water ? Don't expect these egg rolls to taste like the traditional ones. I think by making it "healthier" they also made them less tasty. Also, $7 for 3 egg rolls? I've never seen it that expensive anywhere. My usual place has 6 egg rolls for that price. But the real culprit really comes down to the very soggy noodles I was served. The noodles were all clumped up in a ball that I had to rip open with my chopsticks. Because the noodles were so bloated, they weren't able to retain any flavor from the broth. It was mush. The meat in my beef special was tough and chewy. There was maybe 4 pieces of protein in my bowl. And for the steep price of $15 per bowl, I expected more. The broth itself was good. I like the vision of wanting to make organic, "healthier," pho, but the whole experience was super disappointing. TLDR: slow service, over priced, soggy noodles, disappointing read more

Love this place! I like how they don't add MSG and simmer their broth for 15 hours! Definitely a hidden gem read more

My new favorite place! I've now been here three days in a row. Now that it's chilly at night and it gets dark early I'm in full soup mode. And this place hits the spot every time. The vegan pho is soooo delicious. I also tried their vegan stir fry with rice noodle and their vegan spring rolls. Everything was so tasty. The staff is so friendly and attentive. And they have outdoor seating as well. It's like a whole patio with lots of plants. Very cute!!! There's lots of parking available on site. There's only one restroom so you might find yourself racing someone else for it. ‍ read more

First of all, love the name Mo Pho Mi. Thought it was cute and funny. I ordered the regular size pho with rare beef and brisket. The pho broth was great, aromatic and flavorful. Meat was tender which was appreciated. The only con would be the portion size for the meat and noodles. It is smaller than most pho restaurants. Most likely many would have to order the large. They have a covered patio area to enjoy your meal outside which is a plus. I would definitely come back to fulfill my pho cravings when in the area. read more

Came here at 8pm. They ran out of beef broth, which is fine since we ended up ordering the regular pho ga (chicken pho) here. Portion size is okay. The broth had no flavor and the noodles were really soggy. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. read more

Amazing pho restaurant in Costa Mesa! I love the way the interior is designed, and our server was so kind and helpful! But let's get to the nitty gritty, you're here to read a food review. I got the beef pho, which was packed with flavor. Nice chewy mess on the noodles, a lot of the time pho noodles end up bunched up and stuck together but these felt fresh. The meats were bountiful. They really hooked it up, but the biggest selling point is how much depth their broth has. I eat a lot of pho and I think this is probably the best I've had out in SoCal so far. Top 3 for sure. I spent Monday lunch here with my friend who had the vegetable pho, and he let me have a taste of his broth and similarly to the beef pho, there was so much depth to the broth, I may have to try it myself next time. We saw that there were more vegan options, so we are planning to return and try more of the menu! read more

I decided to come here for the first time since there's not a lot pho places in Costa Mesa and it was good. My only issue about this place is that they are very stingy with their meat and noodles! If I only wanted a big bowl of broth, I would just order that! Also, their fried rice chicken portion is very small, which cost $16! Good pho but never coming back, such a rip off for what they serve! Smh read more

This has become my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The owner Mo has put her heart and soul into the food and the space. This is very apparent upon walking in. What I appreciate the most about Mo Pho Mi is the freshness and high quality ingredients they use. Everything is organic, even the milk they use for their milk tea! And don't even get me started on their drinks because I could go on all day about it. So many options and each drink is crafted beautifully. They're also very accommodating if you have dietary restrictions or certain allergies. Super understanding about it as well! This is a MUST TRY if you're in the area or are a local. read more

The vegan pho is really tasty and I love the outdoor patio. We've been a few times without any complaints.

I don't live in the area, but was at a Vet appt for my dog, and decided to eat here, a few doors down and i'm honestly so glad I chose this Pho place! Funny thing was that I had other options but because I looked at their yelp and saw that their Chicken Pho looked good, so I had to give it a try, which i'm glad I did, I love good quality pho! Lets not forget to mention, I really love coffee and I swear, their Vietnamese Iced Coffee is the best i've ever tried! I wished I lived closer but I actually don't mind making another trip the next time. Friendly Service too read more

I found my Sawleaf Cafe replacement!!! Sawleaf closed about 2 months ago, and I was SO sad because they were the most healthiest Pho place that I could find in the area!! A few weeks ago, while we were heading out to dinner, my companion asked me to search for organic places because we really only go to maybe a handful of places, so it gets tiring pretty quickly. So I did a quick search and ended up finding Mo Pho Mi! I heard about it a few months ago, probably around the time Sawleaf closed, but I was just too busy to look up anything but just go to our default places. So we went there on a Saturday evening. It was pretty empty when we got there. It's in a pretty big plaza, but that plaza looks like it doesn't get that much traffic on the weekends since most businesses there aren't open. We were pretty hungry at that time, so we ended up getting the Veggie Egg Rolls (2 for $5), Veggie Spring Rolls (2 for $5), 2 Large Chicken Pho's with Legs ($10.50/each), and the Lemongrass Chicken ($11). By the time we ordered, some others were coming in, so it took a little while for the food to come out. But once it did, it kept coming, and boy, was it worth the wait! Disclaimer: The food is not going to taste authentic at all, due to the ingredients used, and no MSG. I was already used to that from Sawleaf. Sure, I crave authentic Pho, but I know this is healthier for me, so it beats not eating any Pho at all for the rest of my life. First off, the Veggie Spring Rolls. Those were SO good!! Really loved it! Everything was fresh, and it was freshly wrapped as well! Tastes pretty good too! Then the Veggie Egg Rolls. These were pretty good. A bit smaller than I had expected, and also a bit saltier than I had expected. Otherwise, pretty good, crunchy, fresh ingredients. Then the Pho's came out. Wow. When they said Leg, they really did mean an actual Leg! I thought it'd just be the meat from the leg (dark meat), but we got the actual leg! So that was pretty different. It's a bit hard to eat with chopsticks as well. Other than that, the Pho broth tastes delicious, everything was delicious and fresh, and I still felt good after eating it! The Large is pretty big though, so if you're not very hungry, you might want to stick with the Regular. The Lemongrass Chicken came out while we were eating the Pho's. So we ate that one last. It was very good as well!! Flavorful, and the veggies were crunchy, which meant it was cooked to order! So awesome! There was only one other place I've gone to a few years ago that did the same thing, the veggies were still crunchy when we got our dish. I really enjoyed eating it!! With that said, I will have to come back here for more Pho! I usually don't come down to this area often, so that's why we haven't gone there as often as we'd like to. But this is where we will be coming for our Vietnamese food fix! We love that they use as much organic ingredients as they can, and they also don't use MSG. Those are the 2 main factors in determining if we'd like to eat at a place or not, and this place sure has past our test!! Great timing now that Sawleaf Cafe has closed! I'd DEFINITELY recommend this place if you're looking for a healthier alternative to authentic Pho and some Vietnamese dishes! Just don't expect it to taste authentic! Btw, Sawleaf Cafe Pho lovers, you'll definitely love the Pho here!! read more

This place is so good!! They use filtered water for everything too which makes a huge different cause normally restaurants give you tap for drinking and in the soup. The milk teas are tasty and dairy free by default which is amazing. The best part is their broth, they make the high quality traditional pho broth that takes 2 days to make and it is soo tasty. They sell it by itself if you want to take some home as well. Customer service is always great, waitresses are very friendly and professional. The owner(s) is really nice too if you ever run into her. Definitely one of my staple food places in this part of California and love to come back all the time! read more

The place was very cute and well set up, however the food was not the most flavorful. Additionally, my friend ordered extra chicken for $8 in the same dish as me but we got what appeared to be the exact same amount of chicken. Service was not the best as it took about 30 minutes to get our food, repeatedly had to ask for water refills, and they charged me not only for my order, but another order as well. I was told a refund was initiated but I never got the money back onto my card so I had to come back in person (I don't live close) which was quite an inconvenience. They did refund my money in person. read more

Was in the area and found this gem on Yelp. I was craving Pho and couldn't leave OC without getting some good Pho. I started with the shrimp summer rolls. OMG the veggies were so fresh and crunchy. I was told they were organic so I was happy to chow down. Can't believe I ate the whole dish. This was the best fresh spring roll I've had in a long time. I ordered the regular Pho with 2 types of beef: rare angus and brisket. The meat was of solid quality and based upon the texture it was fresh, not frozen. Again organic. The star of the meal was the broth. Too many places cut corners, this place starts with fresh organic bones and meat, filtered water, roasted organic veggies and spices and slow cooks this for over 12 hours. This is the best Pho bone broth I've tasted in years. You can taste the roasted onions, toasted star anise and cinnamon. Many places tend to cater to bland American tastes so I am glad I found this place that does it old school. Parking was plentiful and service was pleasant. This is book marked and I will be back. read more

Had a dinner craving for Pho on a Saturday night (almost 8pm). Our other two "go-to" spots closed at 7 PM so we went on a hunt for another pho restaurant. Luckily we found this place and WOW - glad we did. This was by far the most delicious pho we've had - we tried the special (three meats) pho and the regular brisket pho along with some veggie eggs rolls as an appetizer. Delicious! Ambiance was fun and family friendly- despite them being near closing, they still provided great customer service. We will certainly be back. read more

I have no words for this place. I always told everyone that I wasn't a fan of Pho. Now I understand why, every place I went prior was a commercial pho place taking the easy way out (using MSG, deli slicing their meat, bullion cubes for flavor). After trying Mo Pho Mi I have been converted to a Pho "phonatic". When you come PLEASE just try the broth before you add all the fixings. The flavor is so complex & savory yet light. I also love the ambience of the restaurant, small yet quaint, decorated for every major holiday and plays nice soft music. It's hard to come by places that play music that enhances the ambience instead of distract. Billie Holiday was a great touch and I hope they continue that! This place deserves the 5 stars and I don't give those out lightly. Amazing Amazing place won't be long until this place takes off, be ahead of the trend. Go today! read more
