Had absolutely amazing food, and great service. Best frog legs in the Council Bluffs/ Omaha area. Everything was delicious, I had frog legs, shrimp with fries. We stopped in around 5:30 tonight (Friday). Hadn't heard of this place but tried it because of yelp reviews. Waited for an employee to tell us we could sit wherever we wanted. Friday nights special is the walleye dinner which we both ordered. The place was very busy but it didn't take too long to get our food. The walleye fillets are large and lightly seasoned , breaded and fried but not overly greasy. Dinner includes two sides- choices were fries, baked beans or coleslaw. The fries are thick lightly seasoned wedges. The dining area is rustic and casual. Styrofoam and plastic are used for all orders. Overall the food was delicious and generous portions for a reasonable price. On the negative side- the fries are the only side that were not sparse. No WiFi and cash only wasn't a deterrent for us but might be for others. There is an ATM in the restaurant for those who don't carry cash. Mos was busy the whole time we were there. read more

We stopped at Mo' Fish for lunch while we were in Council Bluffs the other day and if I've ever had a better Walleye lunch with all the trimmings, I'd be hard pressed to say when! The restaurant was full but not slammed, service was efficient, friendly and unobtrusive and the fish, along with all the sides, were simply outstanding! I have been to this restaurant 2-3 times. Every time that i have eaten there, I have enjoyed the experience. The menu is very basic. The potions I was served were ample. The taste of the fish was as good as if my momma had made it herself. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. The staff were pleasant enough and helpful. The whole atmosphere was of a working persons aire. There was nothing fancy or high-class about it. But if you want some good catfish, walleye or shrimp in the Council Bluffs area, you need to give Mo' fish a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

I like Mo Fish. I go here when I'm not in the mood to cook fish at home. I have been here over 10 times and maybe only one meal was not that great. A lot of people are not a fan of carp but, I am and I LOVE theirs because it's crispy, seasoned well on the outside and succulent and juicy in all the right places! Catfish is pretty good. I have not tried the frog legs or shrimp but, my brother liked 'em when he came in town. The sides may give you sticker shock at first BUT, they give you sooo much that you have to share. My favorite side is the fried okra. Their fries are seasoned well My least favorite are the bake beans. They are worse than Time Out bake beans. If you get a chance eat in instead of carry out. It kind of has a Grumpys R.I.P. feel to it but, with fish nets and dollars on the wall. Unlike Joe Tess their carp does not taste like MUD and it's much more economical! read more

They did not give me the food I ordered. I ordered 2 dinners and 2 a la carts. Only I got 1 dinner & 2 a la carts. When I called they weren't helpful. I was promised a manager would call me back. The walleye is fantastic! Any place else I order it, it's always battered. Mo fish uses corn meal lightly coated and delicious. The coleslaw had horseradish in it. The fries were pre seasoned and tasty. Small place but clean and friendly service. Give it a try. read more

This is a place I have driven by a least a thousand times and never stopped. Until this evening. First off an entire cross section of our community was in this restaurant tonight. And this is no exaggeration at all. Every type of person looking for a delicious fish dinner was there. Mo Fish is a delight! Lots of different combinations and since it was super busy gave us time to soak up the atmosphere. Kinda homey, kinda bait shop in its decor, but that must not deter you from the goodness coming from the kitchen! My wife had the catfish combo and could have fed both of us. Myself it was the clam dinner. So having clams on both coasts, I was really wondering what Mo Fish's take would be. And not disappointed at all! Lots of golden brown clams. Very much like those from Ivar's in Seattle! Okay now I'm hooked for life. Tender, with a little fried crunch! And the sauce that was offered with the combo suited the meal perfectly. And get this only a mile and a half from my front door. Now for those that are super health conscious, this is a fried food haven, so order accordingly. Other than that no bark from me at all. Just miss hush puppies with a meal like this! But lots of other delicious appetizers should you want to pre fill prior to the main event. Definitely a Blu collar eatery with food in plastic baskets and Styrofoam cups. Very friendly and fast moving staff. I had the walleye and my wife had the chicken, both plates were extremely good and cooked well. the atmosphere is a bit loud and the decor nicely tacky. Generous portions. And just like G'ma Margie used to make a light, not greasy, cornmeal-based fry. Comfortable dining room and friendly wait staff. Cash only, so plan ahead. Went here on a Friday night 45 min before closing and had the worst service I may have ever had......they had my brought my receipt for what I owed them for dinner before I even had a chance to take one bite of food! Also halfway through our meal we see our waitress walking out the front door going home.....in the meantime at 805 still 25 min before close the shut all tvs off and locked the front door......this was my first time there and my last, the food was terribly bland and absolutely terrible service. I will strongly disapprove this place anytime I hear someone thinking about going here. read more

I've heard great things about this place and I was excited to try it, especially the Walleye and Catfish. Arrived 30 mins to closing time about 2 weeks ago, and the door was closed locked. I could still see people sitting inside eating. Ugh, why would you close the store 30 mins prior to stated closing time on the door. I hope it was to prepare for a special holiday, someone's vacation, hugh-mongous order, or something remotely important, rather than lazy workers trying to finish early on a weekday. My wife and I decided to go to Mo Fish yesterday. That was our first mistake. When I receive my carp dinner, it had absolutely no taste l. Mind you this was after I had plenty of salt, pepper and two different kind of hot sauce on it. As I continue to try to eat this fish, I notice that in the middle of the fish was a oily, greasey yellow substance coming out of my fish. I report this to the owner,only to be told it's not grease. Next I imagine she would piss on my head and tell me it's rain. Secondly, my wife ordered the walleye dinner, with the assumption it would come with at least a piece of bread and one slice of pickle, as fish normally do. NOT. I guess ten dollars doesn't but you much these days. So when it was all said and done, a meal that should have costed twenty-five dollars ends up costing thrity-five dollars. BTW, be sure to bring cash of you go there.l because the atm machine that sits by the register will charge you two dollars for every transaction. Will we go again. No I don't think so. read more
