My Nephew took me to this place and before we got there he said Uncle Let me tell you this place is so good. People this is a must stop if your ever in Counsel Bluff Iowa. Stay out of Omaha Nebraska for real I can't wait to get back to this place this Summer. I had the Alaskan Walleye Frog Legs and Okra. Awesome staff can't wait to get MO FISH MO FISH MO FISH.

Good food. Attentive and friendly service. I tried the fried catfish sandwich with fries and it was pretty good. It's mildly seasoned and there's not a ton of breading. I didn't eat much of the bun because I decided against the sandwich and the fish was good without it. We also tried the fried okra and that was good as well. The Cycling Frog "social" beverages were really good. We tried the black currant and wild cherry flavors. Both were good, but I liked black currant the best. We did feel a nice little buzz from these so something to keep in mind. This was my first visit. They have ample seating and the dining area is clean. The food and service are good - we'll be back soon.

Gluten free heaven! The fish breading is gluten free! I haven't had delicious carp or catfish in years until today! Just like I remembered! My hubby had the pork tenderloin sandwich and said it was also delicious!

Been hankering for some catfish and Mo's is always the referred when I bring up this craving. So figured why not try. Came right after opening just to see the sign on the door that they only accept cash. Went to my personal banks ATM because I'm cheap and don't wanna pay fees obviously relatable to the business lol. When we got back a few minutes later; one kid ordered his comfort chicken planks, the other tried frog legs, and I got the 1/2lb catfish. The cheese curds that my son got with the frog leg were delicious. The frog legs were a first for my kid and I tried a bite as well. Definitely not my forte; had watery after taste like fish tank in my opinion. The portion of the baked beans is a small cup just a tad larger than the cup the sauce comes out in. They were yum. The catfish that was the main point of the visit was thick and appropriate for the cost. I didn't taste much seasoning so it did end up doused in the red devil available at the table. Overall it was good. Would stop again.

You have to go a bit out of town to get to Mo Fish, but it is a popular place during my lunch. Small seafood restaurant with all the trappings; e.g nets and fish traps hanging from the ceiling and signed one dollar bills tacked to the walls. Place sells a variety of fish to include catfish and perch. They also have shrimp and clams. Baskets come out with a decent portion of fish. Sides are tasty, but rather small. Service is good and the prices are reasonable. You just have to find the place which is slightly off the beaten trail. Kind of sits by itself in an area that you would not normally look.

A family friendly place to get some good fish. I especially want to highlight the fried pickle FRIES! (As in yummy). The service is friendly and accommodating. Just a great place for lunch fish any day and Friday Lent season.

Upon walking in, we saw the place looked clean and comfortable. We went up to the counter to order, but weren't sure what to get. The person in front of us finished his order and we were instantly tickled to see how they send the order to the kitchen. We asked the person behind the counter what was good, as we were visiting from California and had never been there before. He was great at explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Very friendly. We settled on sharing a swamp donkey burger, fries and a side of Cole slaw. We watched our order whiz away to the kitchen and went to get our drinks. We found a good table, sat down and talked for a few minutes. Before long our order had arrived. The person that brought it over asked if we needed anything else. , and we asked for an extra plate and a fork and knife. He quickly brought it all over, and we felt silly because we didn't see utensils were right next to the drink machine, and we should have gotten them ourselves. I apologized for missing it, but he was so polite and friendly and seemed like it was no big deal. We cut the burger in half, I started on the cold slaw (delicious), and then got to it. The burger was amazing. It was big, perfectly done, and completely hit the spot. The fries were also great. We didn't have long before we gad to get back to the hotel to get ready for the flight, and having already paid at the beginning, it was quick and easy heading out. I don't know if/when we will be back to Council Bluffs, but if we are, we will be back 100% for sure. Highly recommend!

One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) We walk in on a Monday night and there were a few people there. It's a small place so I'm glad we were able to get a table. When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. On Fridays, they have a 4 piece special for $13.99 that I'll have to take advantage of soon. All in all, this little bar/restaurant has some amazing food that I just didn't expect after driving and running past it for years. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I first visited Memoir for our anniversary, and it was such an awesome experience, especially for a special occasion like that. After we were done doing all of our (admittedly annoying) photography of the awesome ambiance, we finally sat down to order and eat - and the original amazingness didn't stop there! The menu is not gigantic, which I always appreciate - because I get overwhelmed by too many choices. We picked a few things to share, at the recommendation of our server (who was also amazing and made sure we had a great anniversary dinner). They even gave us a card signed by the staff wishing us a great anniversary! Those little extra touches are what really make a dining experience special. We had the Kale and Bacon Dip for an appetizer, which was DECADENTLY delicious. The dip was smooth and silky with a toasty focaccia which went really well together with the two different textures. And we also grabbed the Pork Potstickers, and my oh my, were those fantastic. Delicate potsticker wrapper, with tons of filling, resting in a carrot-ginger dressing that complemented the potsticker fantastically. We were already so pleased, and didn't believe the entrees could top the starters, but they were just as awesome, which should be no surprise. It was easier to share two entrees, because we couldn't decide between two. Our first entree was the Faroe Island Salmon, and it was cooked to perfection, and served atop an indulgent bed of sweet corn risotto that I still dreeeeam about. And our second entree was the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which was a little lighter of a meal, so was great paired with the salmon dish which was a tad heavier. I would recommend either of these dishes! We were SO full at this point but we knew we had to get a dessert since this was a special occasion. We shared the chocolate torte and devoured it, even with our extreme fullness. It was so fluffy and chocolatey and DELISH. From start to finish, this was one of the best meals I've had in Omaha. The service was on point, the eats were out of this world, and the vibe of the interior is something to behold. If you're looking for an awesome place to have a special occasion meal or just a nice dinner on a date night, look no further than Memoir for all of the above!

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites.
