You know how you enter a restaurant and it feels like you just inhaled fresh oxygen, there is great lighting, and everything is clean?!! This is how I felt when I opened the door. The AC pumping because they know you need amazing AC in Omaha in June. My coworker and I visited because she was in the mood for sushi and our good ole Yelp app sent us here! Thank you YELP! Of course, I needed a brew and ordered the Asashi. Lovely beer. I had 2 to be exact! Lol. We ordered edamame as an appetizer! That was the best edamame I've ever tasted! The black Hawaiian salt set it off and the legume was cooked perfectly! We ordered cooked rolls because neither of us are raw sushi people! We were not disappointed! When I am back next year, I will definitely make sure to visit again! 5/5

    Crunchy Veggie Roll Crispy Shrimp

My friend and I swung by here on a walk in Aksarben looking for a small bite. We sat out on the patio, and it was wonderful to be shaded and comfortable while still getting to enjoy the fresh air! Our server was kind and gave us our time as we looked over the menu. We started off with the fries, truffle, and we both really enjoyed both the size of the serving and the sauces! The truffle sauce was unique, creamy, and the truffle flavor was remarkably strong compared to other truffle products I've had! I personally ordered the Crunchy Veggie Roll and it HIT THE SPOT. The fillings were a perfect combination of fresh and crunchy but with the cream cheese making it hearty, and the Panko on the outside was perfection: crispy and satisfying. My friend ordered the tempura shrimp! She states it is her favorite roll on the menu and her go-to at Ponzu! Ponzu is most definitely worth a try, bonus points for going during their happy hour which has a great amount of selections for an affordable price!

Pretty solid little Japanese restaurant if you want sushi in Aksarben. We stopped by here for lunch, taking a buddy of mine for sushi in Omaha area. We got the lunch combo, which included some Nigri and two rolls. We started out with a bowl of miso soup, which was very tasty. Never had mushrooms in it before. That was a plus. As for the sushi and rolls that came with it, they were decent portions and quality was good. We also got the pork buns and they were really good. Service was excellent. Very prompt with a smile. Do you recommend this place if you're in the area looking for something different. Don't be afraid of sushi in Omaha.

This was a good place to have a light dinner. I went by because I was in the mood for some sushi. If you've stayed in this area, there are a lot of choices, but they were busy and that is a good sign. I was sat immediately and the host was very accommodating. The ambiance was typical sushi restaurant. The rolls I ordered were some of their more popular ones. I especially liked the Esmeralda! Full of flavor and it had a slight spicy kick. The other two rolls were good. I accompanied my meal with sake. The sake complemented the rolls nicely. The prices were about average for a sushi place. $12 - $15 for a roll. The rolls are generous in size. The sake was $8. They have many choices of beverages as well.

The Godzilla and Jammin salmon rolls are amazing!! I've yet to find anything similar in Omaha. Such a great place for either a quick bite or a nice dinner out with friends or a significant other. Highly recommend!

I've eaten here a couple times when I was in town. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Daniel, back in the bar area, is an incredible server and bar tender. He made great suggestions as to what I should order. All the rolls I tried were incredible. My favorites we the firecracker, Godzilla, Esmeralda, and for something very different try the Aksarben roll.

I went while visiting the area. There was a big event in the area but was able to find parking. Was able to be seated right away. It was busy but not super crowded. I ordered a teriyaki chicken with rice and asparagus. Overall the food was okay. It was not really saucy which I was expecting some. I would go back and maybe just get the fried rice or other menu items.

    Their dressing is my favorite!

They have a great lunch special (typically I get the 2 rolls + soup/salad + beverage). Their staff is typically pretty attentive without hovering over you. Atmosphere is clean, well lit and roomy (especially during lunch hour on a weekday). We love their flavor combinations and they've really done a great job across all our visits. Happy customers!

Always my go to sushi place in Omaha. Clean, well lit, and quiet environment with excellent service and amazing fresh sushi. (Yelp is taking the color out of the picture, it is so much more colorful in person!)

Philly, Coco loco and Portland such from left to right

Went to Ponzu tonight for some sushi. This was my first time there and I am a fan of sushi and it was recommended by a friend. The restaurant seem huge and it wasn't busy at all on this Monday evening. We picked out 3 sushi to sample tonight and they were the Philly, Coco Loco and the Portland. If you look at my photo that is the order from left to right as well. I really enjoyed the Philly and the Coco Loco equally. The Coco Loco could have had a touch less mango sauce but it was good, just a little heavy sauced. The Philly was my least favorite of the three. We also tried the miso soup and it was very good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but I would say the only negative is that when I ordered a beer they were out of it so I had to choose something else. I wanted the Tsing Tao but ended up getting the Tiger which was just fine. I'd still go back here as it was good food.

First time visit, everything was just fine, food was fine and service was nothing special. Nothing on the menu jumped out at me to try, but I ended up with the crunchy veggie & Seattle on the Happy Hoir menu. They do have a really nice happy hour specials. The place was very cold, the servers were wearing winter hats & jackets and I didn't take off my winter coat. I live 8 minutes away so I really wanted this place to be my new favorite but I definitely would drive downtown 15-20 to eat Blue Sushi or Hiro 88 instead.

We stopped in with a bunch of friends for happy hour! There were maybe two other tables seated at 5:00 on a Saturday so it was pretty empty outside our party. After taking our drink orders and asking how the checks would be split (which was a bunch of couples so there was a good amount of splitting) the server gave an exasperated sigh before turning around. As someone who has served, I get that it's tough and guests don't always know what's going on with your life, but doing what you can to be respectful is great etiquette. After a moment of confusion, our table laughed a little and continued on with the meal. I did enjoy the Shrimp Appetizer. The sauce was flavorful and complimented well. We had a few sushi dishes from the HH menu and they were good, but I think it was difficult to compare this spot to other local Sushi places. It wasn't bad. Food was worth it during happy hour, but nothing to write home about. Also would have appreciated a more cordial server.

Their drink menu is huge, and the presentation is honestly amazing. When we first got there it was slow, but it definitely got busier as the night went on.
