I asked the bay technician which garage to enter at 9:45am on a Monday and he was sarcastic and dismissive. I was so stunned I voiced my frustration to the manager and the bay tech started yelling at me and called me a "liar" and said "he's trying to step up to me." Like I really have a reason to lie and fight when I go get my oil changed. Embarrassing. There was no movement after 20 minutes and I felt awkward with the angry technician so I left. I came back at 4pm and there was a line 9 cars deep. Something is off here, so after 4 years I'm off to find a new oil change spot. Bummer how a change in staff can make or break who you trust your car with.

So I left and went to East Dallas the same day and had my oil changed (filter/gasket) at my normal Tale 5 with no problem. So, I expected just under $100 all out. When I arrived, I was told that the $89 wasn't full synthetic Mobile 1, and that was $124 plus $13 for the additional quart. But, I had already committed to being there, so go ahead. It needed an air filter, so that was an extra $15 or so. He couldn't figure out how to check the cabin filter, so he just skipped it. At the end of the day, it was $170 after the coupon. When I looked at the invoice, there was a separate $14 charge for the oil filter and a $6 shop fee. When I inquired about why I was charged for the oil filter, he said that it is no longer included at Take 5. In my 30 years of owning cars, the filter is included in the price of the oil change everywhere I have gone. Overall, I should have taken it to a regular shop that charges $120 all in or the $87 that I could've gotten the oil plus better quality filters at AutoZone. I won't return to a company that relies upon scams, hidden fees, and misleading customers.
