I took my lotus here for brakes. They insured everything they could fix. Brakes were done and still hard to press then the ABS light came on driving home from shop. Light was never on before. Called they said nothing they can do with ABS. I said your a brake shop and put brakes on and all the sudden it comes on. Paid $800 and car is more broken then when brought in. I had my car inspected at one of the big chains and they told me that they had noticed that I had "no pad" left on my front brakes. They said I needed to get them changed immediately and quoted me a ridiculous price. For my car, good replacement pads are around $40 and replacement rotors are around $100 each (which even if you're not a car person - it's easy enough to check on a website like autozone). I read some yelp reviews and went to Brake Stop on Live Oak. I was very pleased with the level of service at Brake Stop. I left the car with them and Carlos called me with several options, explaining the pros and cons of each.
