UPDATE: the car that Richard supposedly fixed, did not start the next day! I had to tow it to another shop where they diagnosed the issue and noise as a faulty starter and had to replace it and pay for labor all over again. I'm addition to no work having been done and Richard charging me for false labor, miraculously my cars AC no longer works, my brake lights and headlights no longer work, and my windshield wipers no longer work. Richard is now costing me hundreds of dollars in electric repairs on top of having to pay for the same parts over again. This entire process has been extremely overwhelming however thank you to venmo for their buyer protection against goods and services. I called him prior to dropping it off to describe the problem that I was having and he not only accurately diagnosed the issue but also gave me an estimate to repair over the phone. I had called 5 other auto repair places including the Nissan dealership who all told me that it could be a number of issues that would probably result in costly repairs and that they could not diagnose it until I paid for an expensive diagnostic first. Richard not only accurately diagnosed the issue but also ended up charging me less than his original quote! Such a great mechanic spot. I was referred here by the nearby autozone after dealing with some issues with my engine light. Initially, the guys were very helpful and properly diagnosed my car and gave me a quote. I decided not to get the work done that day but they were still nice. They even put air in a low tire for me. I went back a month or so later and they got me in the same day. They gave me the same price and I was able to get my car back the same day. They also helped me with some auto body work. It's a great place to get your auto work done. No frills, just good service. Be mindful that they only take cash or check. read more

HOWEVER, I felt I was taken advantage of being a small lady that knows nothing about cars. They charged me a lot and the problem was not fixed. This shop might be good if you have a simple window issue or tire issue; however; any other mechanical work...I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! I went in to have my worn shocks replaced. I went to PV on a referral by a neighbor. I also told him directly that I did not want after market or cheap parts. I asked them to look at them and call me with a quote prior to doing any work. Instead, I got a call that said "my car was ready." I went to pick it up and of course Richard was okay with showing me the parts taken out but not the ones put in. I was told it was a little over $500. I was okay with that as long as i had quality work and parts. As I left the parking lot and drove around; there was a knocking noise in my front suspension area(and called him immediately. He told me to bring it back; I did--again when he was supposed to call before any other work..HE DIDN'T AND WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP---HE CHARGED ME ANOTHER $550. MY CAR DRIVES WORSE THAN IT DID WHEN I TOOK IT IN!!!!BE WARE!!!! NOT AN HONEST SHOP!! read more

We were having intermittent electrical problems on our 10 year old Acura. We took it to PV and they diagnosed the problem as being a bad cool unit for the ignition lock it. They explained what the problem was and they couldn't fix it since the unit would need to be programmed to the keys and that would require the dealer on an Acura specialist. Did this all in two hours for no charge. Honest guys providing great service. Will definitely go back for future repairs. read more

I've went to PV Auto Service several times. I'm probably going to consider other auto shops at this point. - They replaced my battery for about ~$100, and the battery went bad after a year. - They messed up my brakes. I asked to have my brake pads replaced. After that, my car began making a loud, deep squeeling noise every time I hit the gas pedal or reversed. It would get really irritating. I've taken it to the shop about 2 times to get the brakes fixed, and they couldn't fix my brakes. To their credit, they didn't charge me for looking at the brakes. But, I was also without my cars for several days (on the second time, a week) at a time. My brakes finally got fixed when I took it to another mechanic, Love Field Auto. - The dash in my car made a really annoying noise. I took my car to PV Auto Service, and they just forgot to fix it? I didn't really have any faith that the noise would ever be fixed, and I just accepted the fact that my car was old. When I took it to Love Field Auto, they fixed it. read more
