I had to take my car in because it wouldn't start. I had trouble with the towing company and Omar here at Alternative Automotive allowed me to easily drop it off after hours. He was so helpful in this stressful situation. Luckily my car was ready two days later. I told him initially that I thought it was the fuel pump and when he checked out my car, he said he only had to fix the lines and that the fuel pump was just fine. The cost of the part was around $225 and in total I paid around $600 because lots of labor was involved. When I went to pick up my car, he was so kind and explained the problem with my car. Avoid this place at all costs. Do your research find a good mechanic, and go somewhere else. Take my advice as you will, but trust me, do not go here. I went because it was close, what a mistake, Went for a simple oil leak, they replaced my vaccum pump and gasket seal for $1300. Initially tried to charge me for the wrong pump that was $300 more. After my service and two days later it's leaking oil again. They told me to come back to investigate further, but it would cost more. Also charged for 5 hours of labor and it was done in two. Just took my car to another shop and they said it was installed incorrectly and that is the source of the oil leak. So not only did Alternative make it worse they never even looked in the first place. My photos are under my hood when I got home, they didn't even connect the air intakes back. Go to Euro auto, they are fantastic and document everything with pictures as they go. They are also charging me less. To the owner: Great racket you got going on there. read more
