My first experience with this location was coming for an oil change. Pulled into the middle lane out of 3 with no one to my left and one car to my right 11:10am. Sat there for 45 minutes until 11:55a and finally the one car in front of me that was already being serviced in the bay when I arrived was done. I was then told that the car to my left was actually there before me. How? When? Not sure if they came then left and came back but either way after being told someone needed to be ahead of me who was not there when I arrived was it for me. I pulled through and left. Great place to come for an oil change and very good servicemen working. I will say to take the "Take 5" part of it with a grain of salt. Depending on how many cars are in front of you, it can take upwards of an hour during your wait, which is a testament to how great the service is since they're so popular. The car in front of me had "complications" and I waited for over an hour (I knew because they write your arrival time on the front windshield) and couldn't move to another bay where the line moved at a normal pace. I had 3 cars in front of me and it took about an hour. Prices are fair and I always find a coupon on their website. The staff is very nice. They offered me a bottle of water while I waited. Just like Dave Brubeck, I took five to get my oil changed at Take Five. Hmmm... This place gets you in and out in a jiffy! Need a lube job? This is a great spot. I came in for a change of oil and a filter. They have a menu that they walk you through on the options for the proper oil. They mainly push their own brand of synthetic. They checked the cabin and engine air filters for me, which was nice. They even pulled them out to show just how gross they were. While I sat in the car, they offered cold bottled water and came by every few minutes to let me know what they're up to. The dude in charge seems like he had the whole operation down to a routine. All the employees worked together like a finely oiled machine. When you leave, they only ask that you honk to let them know that they've provided great service. My only complaint is in regards to the sticker that tells when the next oil change is due that goes on the windshield. Take 5 is a proud sponsor of the Dallas Mavericks, and my car is a proud fan of the Spurs. I gotta drive around for the next five thousand miles with the Mavericks logo in my face. read more

They are always out which causes u to get the higher end products and u don't know until u check in or need ur oil changed. Wasted an hour of my time. I called ahead and checked that they could change my oil. Apparently they weren't capable of looking my year-old Kia up in their computer and therefore refused to change the oil. I pulled the info up on my phone. I showed them the filter size, oil weight, and capacity from the Kia website. They said because it's not in their system they can't sell me the oil. But if I wanted to drive over to O'Reilly and buy the filter - they can do the labor. So I bought the filter and came back. A different guy said they couldn't help me. Both service techs checked with the manager who was too much of a coward to come over and talk to me himself. He knew they lied to me, so after he told the second guy to turn me away he went and hid in the bathroom. read more

I showed up at 11:45 to hopefully beat the lunch rush hour to get my oil changed and an emissions inspection. I sat behind 1 car for 1 hour 20 mins and then finally was able to enter and start to get my oil changed. After my oil was changed they tried to do the inspection but their system could not read my car. 2 1/2 hours later I left with only an oil change and a lot of frustration. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at this location - it was not consistent with the service that I'm used to at other Take 5 locations. After repeatedly being told I was next in line for a state inspection, I waited almost an hour and watched the crew rearrange cars and prioritize others ahead of me. When they finally began what should have been a routine inspection (a like new 2017 car with no issues and less than 30k miles), the worker immediately tried to upsell me on wiper blades. "One wiper blade has a tear and the other one looks like it is about to tear. You definitely won't pass inspection without new wiper blades." I assured him that they were less than three months old and left. I drove over to the nearby Lemmon Ave. location where I was in and out in 10 minutes with an inspection. The worker there said that my wipers looked "like new" and reminded me to check them again with the next oil change, especially if we get any sleet or ice this winter. Two approaches to selling me wiper blades; one lost a customer and the other gained a customer. read more

This place has the convenience of quick oil changes but lacks my full on vote for reliability. Here's why, I take my car in and I wait a good while, they had a long line, once it's my turn I park my car and I'm waiting. Well it turns out they can't unscrew my oil filter because it's "too tight". In my mind I'm thinking put some elbow into it. So after a good 50 mins of waiting this was a bust. I take to mechanic I see on the norm and boom does it without complaining it's too tight. And most recent I came in with 30 mins left before close. And guy comes up To me and says oh we are closing. I reply well I thought you guys closed at 7pm? He said yea but that a car in front of me was the last one. Then goes to tell me I can come back in the morning at 7. And well at this point I'm annoyed and remark with "well are you sure because you obviously don't close at 7". I just don't see why one more car with 30 mins left before close could not be taken care of. Don't they preach 5 min oil change? With that slogan they should be able to attend at least 3 cars and that's cutting them some slack. So yea 2 stars rating from me. read more

I had a back experience with another location and the guys at this location were able to make things write treating with friendly and helpful customer service. Everyone at the Inwood location is professional and moves quickly. They also have a diverse staff that reflects the respect for the community they serve.
