MKR Tech Services started because too many people in my community were getting taken advantage of when they needed tech help.
I'd been working in enterprise IT for years, managing systems for hundreds of users at corporate offices, when friends and family kept asking for help with their personal computers. The pattern was always the same. Someone took their laptop to a big-box retailer, got quoted $400, was told they'd have to ship it to a depot for two weeks, and ended up either paying way too much or living without their computer.
I realized there was a gap between what big corporate IT charges and what people actually need at home. Most home computer problems aren't complicated. They just need someone qualified, honest, and willing to come to you. Same-day, transparent pricing, and the same enterprise-grade approach I take at my day job.

Hi, I'm Marl
I'm the founder of MKR Tech Services and the person who'll actually show up when you book. No subcontractors, no dispatchers, just me.
A little about me: I hold five CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, CIOS, and CSIS) and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton. By day, I work in enterprise IT supporting hundreds of users across two corporate offices in LA. The skills I use there are the same skills I bring to your home or remote session.
What I love about this work is the moment when someone's been frustrated with their computer for weeks (sometimes months) and we get it running smoothly again in under an hour. That relief is genuinely why I started this.
My promise: honest quote, work done right the first time, and I treat your tech like it's my own. If I can fix it, I will. If I can't, I'll tell you straight and point you in the right direction.
