Came here for the first time today and got the Siam salad with tofu which was really fresh and tasty. It was a Thai style salad with a sweet and spicy vinaigrette and also had the nice crunch of peanuts. The inside of the restaurant was also clean. A bit pricey, but they do give you a lot of salad. The salad options are fantastic- almost anything you want to put on a salad they have. The problem is for being a salad place you would think the lettuce would be crisp and fresh. Not so. 3 stars BUMPED to 5. Why? Zack the "Regional Manager" was quick on the fix! Salads are kick a$$......but...they forgot the main event...my avocado...no big deal, but at $12 a salad, i want perfection.....plus it's a hassle to walk back etc.... So I called to get a credit for the topping. Zack was super nice and gave me my credit, plus some. I thought he was almost willing to hand deliver a new topping. I was visiting LA from Denver and was excited to find a salad place. It is much like MAD Greens that we have at home, and I love going there! I ordered the "Be Wello", a tasty and hearty vegan salad. What I also got, but certainly didn't order, was a heaping serving of attitude. So go for the food, it is better and healthier than anything else in the area. (I love the dagwood salad & farmer sandwich the best) the staff has always been extremely polite, and the product has always been excellent quality & filling, they even have frequency cards which is nice. The food here is great, BUT the service is just awful. If there's not a huge line, I am actually left waiting then if there was one. I'll stand at the counter while they chat with each other before asking me what I'd like. Then when I tell them, they ask me again and again as if they weren't paying attention the first time. This review is based off of my last experience. I'm a pretty regular diner here and am always excited to see what their seasonal selections will be. I was looking forward to trying the elote-who wouldn't love street corn in a salad?! It was blah. The cotija cheese was left out, I couldn't taste the dressing at all (and I got medium) and there were way too many scallions. Best salad bar! The ingredients are so fresh and the make your own salad is around $9 and includes your pick of 5 ingredients. They have basically any salad topping you can think of and mix everything up for you there. The line can get a little long, but once you have your salad everything moves super quickly. I love stopping here for lunch! And if you're feeling like indulging, their fresh baked sugar cookies are to die for. read more

Tried this place last week for lunch. I work in an office near by. Extremely fast and efficient. One star off for service not being friendly at all. This is totally the place that you get in and get out. Lot's of awesome healthy options and really good food for the price. I'll definitely be back. I suggest calling in your order between the hours of noon and 1:30pm on Monday through Friday because the lines could get pretty long. Try the summer quinoa salad, it's tasty and filling. Good option for those looking to avoid heavier fare across the street (i.e. Ono, Five Guys, Chipotle). I chose to make my own salad which was above average, but since I had arrived a little after eight (and what I assume must have been a decent after-work dinner rush), all of the romaine lettuce and chicken were gone. Nevertheless, all of the ingredients were fresh (especially the butter lettuce) and their balsamic dressing only made my salad even tastier. It's definitely a place to try multiple times as they have a wide variety of salads and sandwiches on their menu. And the "make-your-own" option ensures that there's plenty to choose from. I came here because I live in very close walking distance and I am on the lookout for a great salad place. I came more than an hour before they closed and got the make your own salad option. My salad was good, but not the best I've had, especially for the price. And I was surprised at how limited their options were, even as the day was ending there was still over an hour left of service. Overall, not bad. The lines will get long if you show up after 12:05pm, and it sucks that they close at 4pm and on weekends (although pretty impressive a business can sustain itself on the nearby office lunch dwellers alone), but the food is immaculate. Like, really, really good. The only real annoying this is sometimes seeing half of the employees working on cratering orders while there's a huge line. Looking for a bite after an afternoon of museums and settled on salads at Mixt, much to the dismay of my vegetable averse 9 year old. He relented after discovering that he could order a steak sandwich (the Royale) and his inner carnivore was satisfied. Being 9 and all, he sauntered up to the counter to order for himself. "I'll have the steak sandwich with only tomatoes and pickles," he says, to which the imperious worker replies, "Pickles, we don't have pickles. We're not a build your own sandwich place, kay." Hmmm, methinks we insulted the salad artiste by implying he might also be a sandwich artiste and hell hath no fury like the insulted salad artiste. I wanted to leave right then and there, but only after telling said salad artiste where he could go. Yet my stomach pangs and longing for greens pummeled any semblance of a spine and I ordered one of the spring salad specials (anything with Green Goddess dressing has me at hello). Salad was good, server still smug and deserving of a good smack across his hipster cheek, the boy went next door to Baja Fresh, and I'd be happy to give more stars for the food, but service renders that moot. All in all, on my next museum outing, I won't partake in Mixt and suggest that if you go, don't insult anyone behind the counter by attempting to order pickles--they don't have them. read more

Mixt Greens a Eatery that I will NEVER go to again. I wanted a Greek Salad, so my husband & I decided to get a salad as we were enroute to go and visit the Labrea Tarpits. They have a special there that you can build your own salad, no problem. I told the waiter that I wanted a Greek Salad. First of all he was one of the most nastiest waiters I have ever encounter. I said I wanted some steak on my salad, he immediately said it's going to cost you more. First of all I didn't ask him the price and the way he said it's going to cost you more was as if I could not afford it. I also asked him what type of dressings do they have, since this was my first time eating there. He had the nerve to throw the menu at me. I was flabbergasted. I threw the menu back and told him that I was a customer and he had no right to treat me that way. I asked to speak to the manager and he took forever to come out and speak with me. This manager was as useless as a tits on a boar. So after spending 14.00 on a salad that wasn't worth 3.00 I walked out. I was so upset I couldn't even eat it. I wouldn't rate this eatery at all it's giving them too much credit. read more
