Looking over then menu I notice it's more mainstream oriented, like for people who just order rolls cause that's what they think sushi is. No super exotic fish or anything or even salmon roe (Ikura). The menu lists the fish on top of rice pieces as "sushi" instead of nigiri. I'm surprised sashimi, (fish and no rice) is offered on the AYCE menu. Inside looks on the upscale side, so this is more of a "nice" place to go like on a date or something. We all went for the AYCE dinner for around $40 per person. That's about the going price for AYCE sushi these days. I started with the expensive stuff, like the sashimi and nigiri fish. I just got one roll. We were all sharing all the stuff we ordered. Sushi is supposed to be like that, a shared experience. The tempura fried shrimp was pretty good as were the rolls the other guys ordered. The fish quality was decent as was the service. We all stuffed ourselves as much as we could. I would recommend this place if you want to experience sushi and just pay one price and eat all you want. For the money, it's a decent deal.

On the second of January, I took my mother out for her birthday at the new Mitsui Buffet. Upon our arrival, the employees greeted us with smiles at the door. The restaurant appeared busy and we waited about five minutes for a table. We sat in a different part of the restaurant, which had neatly folded napkins rather than the paper napkins. The server appeared hostile towards the employee that escorted us into the room. The server spoke angrily to the employee in her native language; however, he employee said nothing in reply and left the room. The server came over to us and said, "What you want to drink?" I replied, Sprite; she countered with, "how many?" I answered, one??? We ate for approximately 45 minutes and the server left us unattended for the entire time. I asked other employees for refills, napkins and utensils; and they asked me to ask my server. The server finally came and asked how we were doing. I asked for refill and she handed me the bill. She placed on the table and said, "Tip not included." She stood at the head of the table watching us eat for about five minutes and I asked her again for a refill. When she returned with my refill, I handed her my credit card. She returned with my card and a receipt. I view the receipt and from behind she reach over and said, "tip not included." I told her gratuity is included because there it is not possible to have a $20+ tax on a $77 bill. She replied, "Not tip! Tax!" I asked if I could have the bill corrected and again she said, "Not tip!" I told her I'm not paying until she corrected the 20% tax. She returned and the bill appeared corrected at $69. I paid and told her it is not illegal if I do not tip for hostile service. read more

other reviewers must have had a really bad day or expect a $60 meal for 7.98(the cost of lunch) or 11.98(supper). We are fussy eaters who eat asian and every other kind of food worldwide and we love this place and go back often. In fact only the most expensive buffets in Vegas can surpass it. The Chinese buffets in Fresno don't even come close! Xlnt sushi of a dozen kinds with a japanese sushi chef in residence, or pick out your abundant fresh ingredients for a custom fried plate of meat and veggies or soup or choose from about a dozen well made Chinese dishes and for lunch 3 or 4 good seafood choices or 5 or 6 for supper and a great salad bar and good fresh fruit etc etc. Your drink is refilled promptly without asking. Went to visit a friend in fresno and my gf was really feeling japanese, my friend told me there is this new buffet restaurant opened that is cheap and have great sushi. wut??! Yes cheap and sushi in the same sentence. I had to say the place is much much better than I expected. It have a huge sushi bar with alot of different selection, salad bar, hibachi grill, and also a great selection of chinese dishes. Great price. Great selection of food. If you feel like something light then there is a salad bar and soup. If you are really hungry they have all your favorites and have extended their selections to include hot wings and pizza and hot dogs. They have a decent selection of sushi and they keep it fresh. There is only one thing i wish they would do.... and that is put in a Pho Soup station! How cool would that be? Be able to eat all the Pho you want...? This is where I go where I want to eat crab, sushi, lobster, as well as food like pizza and dessert. The staff is incredibly helpful and frequently stop by to make sure we have everything we need. The food area is also clean and there is a ton of different options you are able to choose from, no matter what you are feeling. The noise level is also low and it's a nice place to sit down and relax and eat new kinds of food. Like: So cheap! :) I don't want to complain about the food quality, because, come on, all the food is for 6.99 (during the lunch hour early brid price $6.99 between 1pm to 3:30pm) I used to go to panda express but now I go here. Their fried rice, chow mein are good compared to panda express. I really liked the noodle soup that the chef made us out of the ingredients we chose. The parking lot is huge and it may take a walk to get in. The outside of the restaurant looks nicely Asian. Greeters are kind and select a table with you. The soups are tasty and hot. Choices of food range in Chinese, American, Japanese and other Asian flavors. Salads and fruits are available. Seniors have specials on Thursdays but it could be busy then. Was reading through the comments and noticed people saw mouse and cockroaches at the place. Those are not just a mouse and cockroach -- that was Ratatoullie (head chef) and his sous-chef roachboy. But in all seriousness, that's not acceptable and hopefully some FDA inspection people will come take a look. Please do not eat sushi at this place. You might get food poisoning one of these days. The sushi is not cold enough preventing bacteria from developing. They also do not want to make and put out new sushi until almost old sushi is gone. The Chinese buffet section is typical Chinese buffet. Loved the options they had out! Since I am a vegetarian they had a sushi bar where they were able to make me a fresh avocado roll. My friends loved the non vegetarian options as well! Wow, the food quality here is horrible!!! The fried item like shrimp, tempura, squid, egg rolls are hard, cold and shrunk. And the rest are dried up. This is 7:45pm Sunday night. I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone who aren't crazy about their sushi selection. Taste good and quality is still there. What's even nice is that they have a mochi donut shop in the same plaza... so while you're waiting, grab some boba or mochi!! Or a Mexican refreshca inside of Vallarta! Mmm hm . Yum.

These Chinese buffets even have American food like ribs, fries, pizza and corn on the cob! This Golden Harbor Buffet is bigger than a lot of buffets we've been to. There's a big selection of seafood and sushi. The sushi seems to be rotating and being made faster than some buffet where I don't trust the freshness of the sushi, especially the raw fish stuff. The inside dining is clean and seems organized and the staff is right on the service for the drinks. We all know how buffets work and we just head up to the buffet after checking out what's on line. I do love those Chinese salt and pepper shrimps. They still have the shell on. I'm getting to know this Fresno area a little, this buffet is just across the way from The Texas Roadhouse we just went to. I got everybody fed with out any complaints and that's all good with me. I'd come back here again!

My group was celebrating a graduation and there was plenty of space. The service was alright. I enjoyed the crab legs, shrimp cocktail, seafood, and some sushi. However, the quality was so so. The crab wontons were yummy and probably one of my favorites here. They had a wide variety of foods. I appreciated that they had dessert - fruits, multiple ice cream flavors, a crepe station, and cotton candy! All in all, would come back if I need a buffet in the area.

The sauce was so good with the bits of garlic. With the two scoops of rice this was perfect for sharing. We also ordered the Dragon Roll which was all really good. Good ratio of filings and rice and not overly sauce. Service was good. We were greeted and seated and taken care of timely. We don't have to wait long for our drinks or food. There were a couple of tables with reservations signs but it wasn't too busy. Kind of the typical Japanese restaurant vibes. Mindful, I'm from out of state and was looking for something Fresno local. Ordered the dinner special and the portion was massive. Easily enough for my wife and I. Added a Cali roll for good measure and it was all legit. Even the sauces were just right. Lots of parking, a lots of local culture in the area. Food was right on, wish I could visit more frequently.
