This place has been around for ages and I'm glad it is still open and running strong. It is owned by a local family and they are kind and helpful. This place is no frills but the quality and consistency is good. We didn't think there was a thing such as cheap Japanese food, but this place does so and it's great. My go to when I order for me and a family member is the California roll and the grilled salmon bowl. But we've also ordered the salmon dinner plate and the grilled shrimp bowl. Each time the food is good and priced well. The food can take awhile to make, but it means they make it fresh to order. It usually takes about 20 minutes so if I am in a hurry, I call ahead. Ordered the teriyaki chicken and sushi plate for delivery while on a work trip. My food overall was great, the Inari appetizer was something new that I've never tasted and enjoyed, teriyaki chicken was flavorful without being overly saucy, and the California roll was fresh and satisfying. The salad that was included was also flavorful without being overly saturated in dressing. I used to come here all the time. This was my staple meal. I only stopped coming because it was kind of far. But even after all these years the food still tastes the same. It's ol reliable. Since it's been awhile I didn't really remember what rolls I used to get, but I ordered three different rolls and two of them were basically the same thing. Food is just ok. Their salad always comes with bad pieces of lettuce. Their white rice is soggy. They charged us more for fried rice and all they do is dump some soy sauce in to change the color, I know that fried rice needs the soy sauce but theirs just has no flavor and is extremely soggy. The sushi we ordered had a horrible presentation. They had an older women as the cashier when we went and she seemed irritated by everything, you can tell she kept blaming the cooks for things when she wasn't even paying attention herself to things as they were happening. We called the restaurant to see if we could get a fresh one made, and the woman said "No one else complained. We will do it better next time." I was really excited to try this place because of the good reviews and overall stars but boy was I wrong. The older woman at the counter taking orders was so rude and looked like she just was miserable. She was giving everyone attitude and I should of took that as a red flag. I order 3 sushi's. The crunchy shrimp, Las Vegas roll and the dragon roll. No flavor at all. Gave me old sauce for my sushi. Before I ordered I asked which one she would recommend and the lady said they're all good and walked away. Still gave the sushi a try but would never go back. i absolutely love coming here for a quick cheap meal. the food is always hot and warm. very comforting. the staff are always so sweet however the lady at the front counter ALWAYS has a bad staring problem lol. it does make me really uncomfortable.. even in the reflection of the window i see her still staring at us lol. she's still really nice but it's just weird that she always stares at us. other than that it's a nice little place. their mochi is really good too. their Vegas and crunchy roll are SO good. their teriyaki bowls are good too. i honestly love everything i try here. read more

The worker said it would be 15 minutes. I went to get it. I went a little earlier and the order was ready. I paid for it and the worker wished me a good day and that was appreciated! Fantastic lunch! Wow! The chicken teriyaki bowl was delicious! Great chicken w/ veggies and tasty teriyaki sauce! The white rice was cooked perfectly and tasted really good too! The spicy tuna roll came with ginger that tasted fresh and good. Wasabi and soy sauce was provided with the roll. Fresh and good too! My goodness! The spicy tuna roll was very fresh and tasty! I yelped a good but yet affordable sushi place as I was out in Fresno and this place seemed to be the winner. It's definitely a hole in the wall place like a mom and pop shop but it's clean! It has tons of pictures on the wall if you need them like me. Lol . It has tons of teriyaki bowl options and some sushi. We had the Las Vegas roll and crunchy shrimp roll which was both fried. I'm a sucker for any roll fried with cream cheese. The classic california roll and a custom avocado roll. I also ordered the egg rolls which I thought would have been made in house but there definitely were the frozen kind mushy inside. They were cold in the middle. The sweet man at the front who seemed like the owner maybe offered new ones but I kindly opposed. He came out and brought me some tempera shrimp instead which was the nicest gesture and showed great customer service. We ordered so many rolls because I thought they would be tiny. They are not! Found this is place looking up somewhere close and affordable to where I was instead of driving all the way back to riverpark area. Loved the portions I got enough food for me and my friend to share that I bought. I got the big salmon dinner that came with miso soup, salad, rice and potstickers and tempura and got calamari and the spicy tuna sushi roll was delicious. Fantastic little gem! Visited from out of town and came by here based on the solid reviews from Yelp. The area of town was a little sketchy but don't be fooled. They have so much selection here and the food came out hot and fresh. Service was prompt and owners were amazing. I would eat here over and over again.
